The Influence of Social Media on College Choice among Undergraduates Majoring in Big Data Management and Application in China:Taking Guilin University of Electronic Technology as an Example

This study aims to investigate the influence of social media on college choice among undergraduates majoring in Big Data Management and Application in China.The study attempts to reveal how information on social media platforms such as Weibo,WeChat,and Zhihu influences the cognition and choice process of prospective students.By employing an online quantitative survey questionnaire,data were collected from the 2022 and 2023 classes of new students majoring in Big Data Management and Application at Guilin University of Electronic Technology.The aim was to evaluate the role of social media in their college choice process and understand the features and information that most attract prospective students.Social media has become a key factor influencing the college choice decision-making of undergraduates majoring in Big Data Management and Application in China.Students tend to obtain school information through social media platforms and use this information as an important reference in their decision-making process.Higher education institutions should strengthen their social media information dissemination,providing accurate,timely,and attractive information.It is also necessary to ensure effective management of social media platforms,maintain a positive reputation for the school on social media,and increase the interest and trust of prospective students.Simultaneously,educational decision-makers should consider incorporating social media analysis into their recruitment strategies to better attract new student enrollment.This study provides a new perspective for understanding higher education choice behavior in the digital age,particularly by revealing the importance of social media in the educational decision-making process.This has important practical and theoretical implications for higher education institutions,policymakers,and social media platform operators.

Survey and Analysis on the Students Satisfaction with Undergraduate Teaching Management in Local Agricultural Colleges and Universities:A Case Study of Tianjin Agricultural University

Local agricultural colleges and universities undertake the important task of training rural revitalization talents suitable for regional characteristics.Only by mastering students'satisfaction with teaching management can we find the problems existing in teaching management.Taking Tianjin Agricultural University as an example,this paper analyzes the undergraduates'satisfaction with teaching management by questionnaire and SPSS24.0.The results show that undergraduates can actively and actively participate in undergraduate teaching management,but their satisfaction is not high.There are significant differences in teaching evaluation management satisfaction among students of different majors and grades.It is suggested to improve the level of teaching management from the aspects of guiding and cultivating a new concept of management and education,establishing and perfecting a scientific and rigorous teaching management system,strengthening the information-based construction of teaching management and strengthening personnel training.

Good psychological quality is the basic requirement for college students in the new era.Students from junior colleges moving into xmdergraduate level in private colleges are a special group as they are already an important part of students in private colleges.Based on the mental health status of these students,private colleges have analyzed the issues of mental health education which include weak teaching staffs,lack attention,and traditional education methods.From the perspective of three-dimensional education,the psychological education work model in private colleges is explored to build an education team to promote the participation of all employees in the work of psychological education,strengthen the attention of college students who are moving into the undergraduate level,and to pay full attention to these students.Private colleges should try to innovate education methods and improve psychological education in all aspects.

Depression, Anxiety and Stress among Undergraduate Students: A Cross Sectional Study

Background: The prevalence of moderate to extremely severe level of depression, anxiety and stress among undergraduate students in Malaysia was ranging from 13.9% to 29.3%, 51.5% to 55.0% and 12.9% to 21.6% respectively. Medical students have been shown to be more inclined to emotional disorders, especially stress and depression, as compared to their non-medical peers. Therefore, the objective of this cross-sectional study was to determine the prevalence of depression, anxiety and stress among undergraduate students in Melaka Manipal Medical College. Methods: Self-administered questionnaires consisted of 3 sections: demographic data, socioeconomic data and DASS 21 questions. Data processing was performed using Microsoft Excel 2010. The psychological status was categorized according to the presence or absence of depression, anxiety and stress. The data were analyzed using Epi InfoTM 7.1.4 and SPSS. Student’s t-test, Fisher Exact and Chi-square test were used to analyze the associations. P-value of <0.05 was considered as statistically significant. Multiple logistic regression was used to calculate the adjusted Odd Ratio. Results: A total of 397 undergraduates participated in this study. The prevalence of the depression, anxiety and stress, ranging from moderate to extremely severe, was 30.7%, 55.5%, and 16.6% respectively. Multiple logistic regression shows significant associations between relationship status, social life and total family income per month with depression. Only ethnicity has been shown to be significantly associated with anxiety. There are significant associations between ethnicity and total family income per month with stress. No other factors have been found to be significantly associated. Conclusion: Depression, anxiety and stress have a high detrimental effect to individual and society, which can lead to negative outcomes including medical dropouts, increased suicidal tendency, relationship and marital problems, impaired ability to work effectively, burnout and also existing problems of health care provision. With that, there is a need for greater attention to the psychological wellbeing of undergraduate students to improve their quality of life.

中医院校护理本科生临床实习中期对培养过程感受的质性研究

目的了解广西中医药大学护理专业本科生(以下简称护生)实习中期对临床实习的认知情况以及真实感受,为护生临床实习培养机制完善提供理论依据。方法采用目的抽样法,选取8名处于实习中期的护生进行半结构化访谈,收集并分析资料。结果共提炼出3个主题和7个副主题。包括临床教学问题,体现在实习安排、带教方式、考核内容与方法;实习中期的心理状态,体现在负面情绪、学习工作压力;个人成长与发展,体现在提升专业技术、未来职业发展。结论实习期间的中期考核是对护生理论知识、临床能力和身心状况等方面的综合考评。学校和医院应参考实习护生的相关需求完善实习安排,关心护生心理健康,提高其专业技术,增强职业认同感,从而保证护理人才队伍的稳定。

本科层次职业学校与美国社区学院图书馆学习支持服务比较研究

建设本科层次职业学校是完善我国职业教育制度体系的重要举措,职业学校图书馆应积极履行为教学科研提供支持服务功能,加强图书馆服务体系建设,与学校发展同频共振。文章选取美国15所可授予学士学位的社区学院和中国首批15所本科层次职业学校图书馆网站作为样本进行调研,对其功能定位、服务类型、空间设施、开放程度和团队建设等学习支持服务进行对比分析。结果显示:中美两国职业教育类院校图书馆发展存在较大差异,本科层次职业学校图书馆应主动参与学校顶层设计方案、准确把握功能变革方向、高度重视信息素养教育、积极面向社会开展服务、不断提升团队服务质量,以充分发挥图书馆学习支持服务功能,建设职业教育特色服务体系,推动职业教育高质量发展。
