A force auxiliary ventilation system was adopted as a control method in successful extraction and recovery of the panel 30110 of the #3-1 coal seam, which is about 30-40 rn below the heating goaf of the #2-2 seam at Longhua underground coal mine, Shanxi Province, China. Booster fans and ventilation control devices such as doors and regulators were used in the system. The results show that, provided that a force auxiliary ventilation system is properly designed to achieve a pressure balance between a panel and its overlying goat', the system can be used to extract a coal seam overlain by a heating goal. This paper describes the design, installation and performance of the ventilation system during the extraction and recovery phases of the oanel 30110.展开更多

The welding simulation is performed with the commercial finite element software Abaqus and FORTRAN programme encoding a special conical heat source with Gaussian volumetric distribution of flux. The influence of the local model on the temperature, residual stress, and welding deformation distributions is investigated. The findings show that angular deformation achieved through numerical computation completely consists with the experimental result which has proved the effectiveness of the finite element methods developed. Various measurements performed on small-scale welded test specimens provide a data base of experimental results that serves as a bench mark for qualification of the simulation result. Finally, the residual stress and strain states in a T-joint are predicted.展开更多

Predictive simulations of EAST reversed shear configuration are carried out using an 1.5D equilibrium evolution code. In order to have the desired monotonic q-profile during a tokamak discharge, a successful preparation phase is required. In our simulation, the plasma current is ramped up from 100 kA to a fiat-top maximum of 1.0 MA for four seconds. An ICRH power of 1 MW is applied until the plasma shape is formed at the moment of 4 s, and then the power is raised to 3 MW. A LHCD power of 3.5 MW is applied from ls to optimize the plasma current density profile. A series of simulations are performed to study the influence of the time of applying the auxiliary heating on the plasma parameters. Based on these simulations, a scheme is proposed and tested for the control of the safety factor profile, which is very useful in real time profile control in tokamak experiments.展开更多
