The volume of fluid(VOF) method was used to track the free surface of jet. The spray process of the molten Pb63Sn37 alloy was simulated based on the mathematical model by means of FLUENT code. The configuration of jets generated in different disturbance ratios and modulation ratios was obtained. The theoretical results show that the droplets merge together by the number of disturbance ratio N, which agrees with the corresponding picture captured in the experiment. In addition, the droplet streams broken at non-optimal frequency are also uniform according to simulation results, which proves that the A-M disturbance can increase the width of the uniform droplet generating frequency.展开更多

In this work, the quantum confined Stark effect of the EAM is system- atically analyzed through the finite element method. An optimized structure of the 1.3-μm InGaAsP/InP QW EAM is proposed for applications in 100 G ethernet. Then 1.3-μm InGaAsP/InP EAMs with f-3dB bandwidth of over 20 GHz and extinction ratio over 20 dB at 3 V bias voltage are demonstrated.展开更多

Through the analysis of the mathematical expression and combining with the perfect reconstruction conditions of the filter banks, we propose the design conditions of an M-band filter to reduce and eliminate the ICI. The impulse response model of the filter design conditions and an iterative algorithm is also established. The simulation results show that the proposed ICI reduction and elimination methods can effectively improve the system performance.展开更多

In the proposed architecture, the filtered modulated signals are separated into two components that are then amplified independently and combined to regenerate an amplified version of the original signal. A branch with an efficient amplifier transmits a low-varying envelope signal that contains the main part of the information. Another branch amplifies the residual portion of the signal. The baseband decomposition and parameters of the RF part are optimized to find the configuration that gives the best power efficiency and linearity. For M-ary quadrature amplitude modulation (M-QAM) signals, this technique is limited in terms of power efficiency. However, for filtered continuous phase modulation (CPM) signals, especially for minimum shift keying (MSK) and Gaussian MSK (GMSK) signals, high power efficiency can be achieved with no significant impact on the overall linearity. The results show that this technique gives better performance than the single-ended ctass-B amplifier.展开更多

In order to decrease the unfavorable macroparticles, a straight magnetized filter was used for the low melting aluminium target. The results show that the output plasmas of titanium target without filter and aluminium target with filter reach the substrate with the same order of magnitude. Meanwhile, the number of macropartieles in TiN/TiAlN multilayer coatings deposited with separate targets is only 1/10-1/3 of that deposited with alloy target reported in literature. Al atom addition may lead to the decrease of peak at (200) lattice plane and strengthening of peak at (111) and (220) lattice planes. The measured hardness of TiN/TiAlN multilayer coatings accords with the mixture principle and the maximum hardness is HV2495. The adhesion strength reaches 75 N.展开更多
