The atmosphere is an evolutionary agent essential to the shaping of a planet,while in oceanic science and daily life,liquids are commonly seen.In this paper,we investigate a generalized variable-coefficient Korteweg-de Vriesmodified Korteweg-de Vries equation for the atmosphere,oceanic fluids and plasmas.With symbolic computation,beginning with a presumption,we work out certain scaling transformations,bilinear forms through the binary Bell polynomials and our scaling transformations,N solitons(with N being a positive integer)via the aforementioned bilinear forms and bilinear auto-Bäcklund transformations through the Hirota method with some solitons.In addition,Painlevé-type auto-Bäcklund transformations with some solitons are symbolically computed out.Respective dependences and constraints on the variable/constant coefficients are discussed,while those coefficients correspond to the quadratic-nonlinear,cubic-nonlinear,dispersive,dissipative and line-damping effects in the atmosphere,oceanic fluids and plasmas. 展开更多

We prove non-trivial upper bounds for general bilinear forms with trace functions of bountiful sheaves,where the supports of two variables can be arbitrary subsets in F_(p) of suitable sizes.This essentially recovers the Polya-Vinogradov range,and also applies to symmetric powers of Kloosterman sums and Frobenius traces of elliptic curves.In the case of hyper-Kloosterman sums,we can beat the Pólya-Vinogradov barrier by combining additive combinatorics with a deep result of Kowalski,Michel and Sawin(2017) on sum-products of Kloosterman sheaves.Two Sato-Tate distributions of Kloosterman sums and Frobenius traces of elliptic curves in sparse families are also concluded. 展开更多

Water waves are one of the most common phenomena in nature, the studies of which help energy development, marine/offshore engineering, hydraulic engineering, mechanical engineering, etc. Hereby, symbolic computation is performed on the Boussinesq–Burgers system for shallow water waves in a lake or near an ocean beach. For the water-wave horizontal velocity and height of the water surface above the bottom, two sets of the bilinear forms through the binary Bell polynomials and N-soliton solutions are worked out, while two auto-B?cklund transformations are constructed together with the solitonic solutions, where N is a positive integer. Our bilinear forms, N-soliton solutions and B?cklund transformations are different from those in the existing literature. All of our results are dependent on the waterwave dispersive power. 展开更多

Dynamics of three nonisospectral nonlinear Schrdinger equations(NNLSEs), following different time dependencies of the spectral parameter, are investigated. First, we discuss the gauge transformations between the standard nonlinear Schrdinger equation(NLSE) and its first two nonisospectral counterparts, for which we derive solutions and infinitely many conserved quantities. Then, exact solutions of the three NNLSEs are derived in double Wronskian terms. Moreover,we analyze the dynamics of the solitons in the presence of the nonisospectral effects by demonstrating how the shapes,velocities, and wave energies change in time. In particular, we obtain a rogue wave type of soliton solutions to the third NNLSE. 展开更多

In this paper, the investigation is focused on a (3+1)-dimensional variable-coefficient Kadomtsev- Petviashvili (vcKP) equation, which can describe the realistic nonlinear phenomena in the fluid dynamics and plasma in three spatial dimensions. In order to study the integrability property of such an equation, the Painlevé analysis is performed on it. And then, based on the truncated Painlevé expansion, the bilinear form of the (3+1)-dimensionaJ vcKP equation is obtained under certain coefficients constraint, and its solution in the Wronskian determinant form is constructed and verified by virtue of the Wronskian technique. Besides the Wronskian determinant solution, it is shown that the (3+1)-dimensional vcKP equation also possesses a solution in the form of the Grammian determinant. 展开更多

In this paper, two types of the (2+1)-dimensional breaking soliton equations axe investigated, which describe the interactions of the Riemann waves with the long waves. With symbolic computation, the Hirota bilineax forms and Bgcklund transformations are derived for those two systems. Furthermore, multisoliton solutions in terms of the Wronskian determinant are constructed, which are verified through the direct substitution of the solutions into the bilineax equations. Via the Wronskian technique, it is proved that the Bgcklund transformations obtained are the ones between the ( N - 1)- and N-soliton solutions. Propagations and interactions of the kink-/bell-shaped solitons are presented. It is shown that the Riemann waves possess the solitonie properties, and maintain the amplitudes and velocities in the collisions only with some phase shifts. 展开更多

These new solutions, named three-wave solutions and periodic wave have greatly enriched the existing literature. Via the three-dimensional images, density images and contour plots, the physical characteristics of these waves are well described. The new three-wave solutions and periodic solitary wave solutions obtained in this paper, will have a wide range of applications in the fields of physics and mechanics. 展开更多
