We explore the possibility of extrapolating such a correlation to less massive, spherical systems like globular clusters. In particular, motivated by the apparent success in the globular cluster M15, we present an estimate of the central black hole mass for a number of globular clusters with available velocity dispersion data.展开更多

In this model, at the time of nucleosynthesis, an i...In Part 1 of this work, we showed that our new model of cosmology can account for the origin of all cosmic structures ranging in size from stars up to superclusters. In this model, at the time of nucleosynthesis, an imprint embedded in the vacuum regulated the creation of the protons (and electrons) that later made up the structures. Immediately after nucleosynthesis and for a considerable period afterward, the evolution was completely determined by the expansion of the universe. Gradually, however, gravitational influences became more important until finally, the expansion of the structures-to-be ceased at their zero velocity points. Stars, galaxies, and galaxy clusters all reached their zero velocity points more or less simultaneously at the usually accepted time of the beginning of galaxy formation. From that point onward, the evolution gravitation came to dominate the evolution although the expansion still exerted its influence. In this paper, we examine the subsequent cluster evolution in some detail. We establish the conditions required to prevent a free-fall collapse of the clusters and then show that galaxies with quasar-like active nuclei located within the cluster were the sources of the necessary radiation. We also show that the required galactic supermassive black holes were a consequence of the initial free-fall collapse of all galaxies.展开更多
The optimization of black-start decision-making plays an important role in the rapid restoration of a power system after a major failure/outage.With the introduction of the concept of smart grids and the development o...The optimization of black-start decision-making plays an important role in the rapid restoration of a power system after a major failure/outage.With the introduction of the concept of smart grids and the development of real-time communication networks,the black-start decision-makers are no longer limited to only one or a few power system experts such as dispatchers,but rather a large group of professional people in practice.The overall behaviors of a large decision-making group of decision-makers/experts are more complicated and unpredictable.However,the existing methods for black-start decision-making cannot handle the situations with a large group of decision-makers.Given this background,a clustering algorithm is presented to optimize the black-start decision-making problem with a large group of decision-makers.Group decision-making preferences are obtained by clustering analysis,and the final black-start decision-making results are achieved by combining the weights of black-start indexes and the preferences of the decision-making group.The effectiveness of the proposed method is validated by a practical case.This work extends the black-start decision-making problem to situations with a large group of decision-makers.展开更多

On the basis of adequate consideration of fuzziness of black-start zone partitioning, a new algorithm based on fuzzy clustering analysis is presented. Characteristic indexes are extracted fully and accurately. The raw data matrix is made up of the electrical distance between every nodes and blackstart resources. Closure transfer method is utilized to get the dynamic clustering. The availability and feasibility of the proposed algorithm are verified on the New-England 39 bus system at last.展开更多
内河水上交通事故时有发生,对水路运输安全、高效发展带来威胁。研究提出一种基于自适应参数的DBSCAN(Density-Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise)方法,用于识别内河事故黑点水域。该方法支持对邻域半径ε和邻域中...内河水上交通事故时有发生,对水路运输安全、高效发展带来威胁。研究提出一种基于自适应参数的DBSCAN(Density-Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise)方法,用于识别内河事故黑点水域。该方法支持对邻域半径ε和邻域中数据对象数目阈值P_(min)参数的自动选取,可提高聚类分析的精度和效率。基于2010—2019年长江干线下游散货船舶事故数据开展案例研究,对各典型事故黑点段的事故特征和事故原因进行分析,得到8个事故黑点。此外,采用Getis-Ord General G聚类识别事故黑点中的高等级事故区域,得到事故黑点及高等级事故主要分布于江心洲、桥区、港口码头区域。研究结果与实际情况基本吻合,一定程度上表明了该方法在内河水上交通事故分布特征分析上的科学性和实用性。展开更多
