Enhancing source domain availability through data and feature transfer learning for building power load forecasting

During the initial phases of operation following the construction or renovation of existing buildings,the availability of historical power usage data is limited,which leads to lower accuracy in load forecasting and hinders normal usage.Fortunately,by transferring load data from similar buildings,it is possible to enhance forecasting accuracy.However,indiscriminately expanding all source domain data to the target domain is highly likely to result in negative transfer learning.This study explores the feasibility of utilizing similar buildings(source domains)in transfer learning by implementing and comparing two distinct forms of multi-source transfer learning.Firstly,this study focuses on the Higashita area in Kitakyushu City,Japan,as the research object.Four buildings that exhibit the highest similarity to the target buildings within this area were selected for analysis.Next,the two-stage TrAdaBoost.R^(2) algorithm is used for multi-source transfer learning,and its transfer effect is analyzed.Finally,the application effects of instance-based(IBMTL)and feature-based(FBMTL)multi-source transfer learning are compared,which explained the effect of the source domain data on the forecasting accuracy in different transfer modes.The results show that combining the two-stage TrAdaBoost.R^(2) algorithm with multi-source data can reduce the CV-RMSE by 7.23%compared to a single-source domain,and the accuracy improvement is significant.At the same time,multi-source transfer learning,which is based on instance,can better supplement the integrity of the target domain data and has a higher forecasting accuracy.Overall,IBMTL tends to retain effective data associations and FBMTL shows higher forecasting stability.The findings of this study,which include the verification of real-life algorithm application and source domain availability,can serve as a theoretical reference for implementing transfer learning in load forecasting.

Optimized design of high power plasma inverter based on bionics

Through the inspiration of the reliability mechanism of human body, it is obvious that the bionic methods can be used as a reference for the optimized design of high power plasma inverter. On this basis, the high power plasma inverter can be composed of several high power density intelligent power electric building blocks （ IPEBB ） , which are controlled by intelligent controller with the capability of self-management and can be regarded as the cell of the inverter. All of these IPEBB can be controllable and cooperative through distributed communication structure with digital control. This structure can be regarded as the nerve of the inverter. In each IPEBB, the advance mechanical feedback mechanism is adopted to suppress the magnetic bins, over-current protection and gate driving for the high power switches. A 75 kW Prototype constructed by IPEBBs was built to test the performance. Experimental results verify the feasibility of the proposed approach, and the bionic design methods can benefit the optimized design of high power plasma inverter.

Analysis of the motivations and the bases to further strengthen the provincial higher education

At present, there are certain motivations and corresponding bases to further strengthen the provincial higher education in China. The proposal of the strategy to ＂Give priority to the development of education and construct the power with human resources＂ and the strategy of the ＂balanced development of education＂ is the political motivation. The people＇s demand for the high-quality higher educational resources is the cultural driving force, and the enhancement of the international competitiveness of China is internationalized motivation. The provincial economic strength is growing, and the ability of the government＇s financial input in the higher education is gradually increased, which laid a solid economic foundation for it. The higher education in various provinces is developing from the elite education to the mass stage and to the popularization stage, which is the scale basis. The two-level management of the central and the local governments, the division of labor with individual responsibilities, and the formation of the administrative systems of the higher education dominated by the overall planning of the provincial government under the guidance of the national policies are the institutional bases.

China and the United States Should Build A New Type of Major Powers Relations——A Study on China’s U.S. Policy Thinking since the New Century

Since the reform and opening-up to the outside world, China has formed a series of guidelines and policies towards the United States, which are the theoretical foundation of China’s U.S. policy thinking in the New Century. Entering the new century, the international situation has undergone profound and complicated changes, the national strength gap between China and the United States has narrowed, their common interests have expanded, differences and contradictions have increased. Therefore, China stands for both countries to adhere to the direction of developing cooperative partnership, respect each other, abide by the promises, seek equal and mutual benefits and win-win cooperation, and mutually respect each others core interests. The future development of China-U.S. relations still face many challenges and China’s U.S. policy thinking needs to keep abreast with the times.
