Countermeasures to the Problems with Business English Teaching in Vocational Schools

With the development of China's foreign trade, there is a lack in business English talents in general. As a result, higher requirements have been made for business English teaching of higher vocational education in our country. However, there are still many unfavorable problems in current higher vocational business English teaching. This article carries on the analysis of the present situation in current higher vocational business English teaching, summarizes some of the problems that exist in it, and puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions to solve these problems, in order to improve the level of higher vocational business English teaching in China, and to create more business English talents for the society and enterprises.

An Exploration of the Current Business English Teaching at the Post-graduate Level in China

In China,the past two decades has witnessed the flourishing of Business English (BE) as a course or even a separated discipline in colleges and universities.Researches on BE and BE Teaching have also flourished in an attempt to formulate a coherent theoretical framework and to improve the present BE Teaching system.However,most of such researches focus on BE Teaching at the college level.The present thesis is to explore the present BE Teaching situation at the post-graduate level in several universities in China and point out some practical problems existing in the current BE Teaching at the post-graduate level with a purpose that the academic world could attach more attention to BE Teaching at the post-graduate level in China.

New Changes in Business English Teaching System under the Background of Big Data

Big data,as an advanced form of information technology,not only brings challenges for business conductions,which is greatly influencing people’s live,but also triggers changes in business English education.This paper,inspired by the rapid development of big data technology,attempts to probe the relationship between business English teaching and big data,the influences of big data technology on business English teaching innovation.The changes in business teaching theories,notions,models and environment created by big data will be specifically discussed and analyzed in this paper in order to facilitate teachers to better carry out teaching innovations.

Research on the Effective Infiltration of Ecological Aesthetic Education in Business English Teaching From the Perspective of Curriculum-Based Political and Virtuous Awareness Education

Ecological aesthetic education is a fusion of aesthetic education,environmental education,and ecological aesthetics research.The product of this combination is an ecological paradigm of Chinese aesthetic education research.Based on a holistic ecological view,ecological aesthetic education elevates it as an aesthetic principle to achieve the value position of ecological aesthetics in people’s lives and finally realizes the poetic habitation of human beings on the earth through the eco-aesthetic practice.This paper firstly introduces the background of China’s curriculum-based political and virtuous awareness(CPVA)education and its relevance to ecological aesthetic education in business English teaching which necessitate the infiltration of eco-aesthetic education in business English teaching.Then,with the teaching practice of Integrated Business English course,this paper explores the three aspects of how to effectively infiltrate ecological aesthetic education in business English teaching.

An Empirical Study on Situational Teaching in College Business English

With the development of the society in the era,great importance has been attached to English education,especially College Business English education.Under the guidance of the new teaching ideas,new teaching thoughts and new teaching strategies,though Business English teachers start to adopt all kinds of teaching methods to inspire students’interest and improve teaching effect,the current situation of College Business English education in our country is not optimistic.The outstanding problem lies in that the teaching process emphasizes the diffusion of learning,ignores penetration of emotion,and lacks environment of using Business English.There is no denying that the current teaching models will cause negative effect on students’Business English learning.Yet English situational teaching is precisely an ideal teaching method to solve the current situation.

PRACTICAL APPROACHES IN TEACHING BUSINESS ENGLISH TO FRESHMEN OF THE CONTINUING EDUCATION COLLEGE

This article presents some practical approaches inteaching Business English to freshmen of the Continu-ing Education College.It introduces three attempts inmatching the students’situation with the teachingtasks,combining teaching with practice,and givingstudents periodic tests and a variety of test formats in-stead of only giving one test at the end of the term.Itis shown,through the practical attempts,that theapproaches are effective.
