Conception and Planning of Campus Landscape Combined with Nature Education Based on Species Survey:A Case Study of North China University of Technology

From the perspective of habitats and species diversity in biodiversity,the species and richness of plants and animals in the campus green spaces of North China University of Technology were surveyed comprehensively by natural observation and field investigation.A total of 118 species of plants and 70species of animals were investigated.The relationship between plants and animals on the campus was analyzed qualitatively.Based on this,the richness of species in the plots suitable for natural education in the sites was investigated and analyzed,and the situations in different seasons were compared to plan natural education areas and trails.In addition,the ways to increase the biodiversity of the sites,the connection between habitats and landscape elements,and the setting of relevant landscape sites were discussed,and it was proposed to integrate more natural education methods to attract people to carry out natural education of biodiversity in the university campus with a learning atmosphere.

Campus Landscape Design from the Perspective of Education

Campus environment has close contact with students and exerts an imperceptible influence on students’ growth, so campus environment landscapes should focus on educating students. That the landscapes with education as the theme are brought into campus environment so as to provide a healthy study environment for students, arouse their enthusiasm for studying, expand practice bases and highlight features of running the school. The landscapes with education as the theme include historical and humanistic landscapes, landscapes of scientific knowledge, moral education and exhibitions of current events, which have the characteristics of indirect education, openness, and diverse needs of audience. The paper demonstrates that educational landscapes play a significant role in campus landscapes and educational environment, and puts forward that the design of educational campus landscapes asks for overall planning scientifically and rationally, careful investigation and full research, diversified educational subjects and design skills, so as to produce the educational landscapes with perfect functions that are participatory, harmonious with surrounding architectures and able to guide study interests of students. It is expected to provide a reference for the design of future educational landscapes on campus.

Educational Role of Vernacular Cultures in Landscape Design of Campuses in East,Central and West China

By defining the concept of vernacular cultures,3 basic elements of vernacular cultures were refined according to different demonstration forms,specifically,vernacular materials and things,vernacular cultural context and vernacular sentiments.Nanjing Normal University,Wuhan University and Sichuan Institute of Fine Arts were taken respectively as landscape design representatives of campus in east,central and west China to elaborate application of vernacular cultures in campus landscape design.Finally,development trend of education role of campus landscapes was discussed from the perspectives of"modeling after the nature,building according to users'needs","seeking differences on the basis of maintaining similarities,recording the history and prospecting the future","green and low-carbon,dynamic and sustainable",so as to ensure campus landscapes to develop their educational effects subtly.

Analysis on the Ways to Prevention and Cure of Sexual Harassment On the Campus under the Perspective of Gender Equal Education

Sexual harassment on campus has increasingly become the focus of widespread attention from all walks of life. The special identity of subject and object of sexual harassment on campus, concealed action, long cycle, mainly come from the idea of a deep dilemma, namely the lack of social gender equity. And the first premise to realize social gender equality is to ensure the education gender justice. Therefore, we need to draw lessons from the experience of the gender equality education in Taiwan, clear the social differences in the mind, respect for diverse gender culture; At the legislative level, improve laws and regulations, safeguard formal sources of law; At the system level, set up specialized agencies, through the permeability of course teaching, the strengthening of construction of teaching staff and the academic research, systematically discuss the effective path to construct mechanism of campus sexual harassment prevention.

Analysis on Promoting the Construction and Development of Campus Culture from Art Education

Colleges and universities, as important educational institutions of training professional personnel, should make a change to the curriculum setting along with the changed demands of market on personnel. In this process, art can be used by them as a key course in teaching. On the one hand, the improvement of art education in colleges and universities can provide students with increasingly more learning opportunities in professional learning, so that the professional quality of students can be promoted to reach a corresponding level in a certain period. On the other hand, art education has exerted a variety of positive roles in promoting the construction of campus culture, and especially has promoted the students in colleges and universities to get objective cultural knowledge in ideology. Therefore, this is analyzed by the author in this paper.

Analysis of the Necessity of Rehabilitation Landscape Improvement in Vocational Education Campus

Vocational education campus is an important practice place of rehabilitation landscape and health garden.The improvement of rehabilitation landscape in vocational education campus is of great significance for the popularization of environmental and health knowledge,the dissemination of ecological concepts,and the guidance of local development of garden health and horticultural therapy.Based on the analysis of the benefits of rehabilitation landscape,the paper discusses the role of rehabilitation landscape in maintaining the psychological health of teachers and students in vocational education campus,improving their attention,alleviating bad emotions,and improving the safety and comfort level of the environment,and further demonstrates the necessity of rehabilitation landscape improvement in vocational education campus.

Research on the Ideological and Political Education Service Platform Based on the Campus Network Environment

Nowadays, with the increasingly mature construction of the campus network, new changes have taken place in the way students participate in their learning and understanding of the knowledge. Starting from the analysis of the characteristics, connotation and the teaching impact of the campus network environment, this paper analyses the new changes of the ideological and political education services under the campus network environment, and combines the values and significances o f the ideological and political education services under the campus network environment, so as to analyze the implementation strategy of constructing the ideological and political education service platform based on the campus network environment.

Effects of Physical Education on Campus Culture Construction

本文以澳大利亚《远程教育》杂志的创刊主编和前任主编伊安.米歇尔(Ian McD Mitchell)[1]等人对杂志创刊30周年历史回顾为基础,展现了杂志创办的历史,同时以杂志自身的发展为主线,间接勾勒了澳大利亚远程教育学术研究历史的主要图景。既充分展示了澳大利亚《远程教育》杂志发展历程,又从侧面揭示了专业、协会、杂志、学术会议这几者之间是如何良性互动推动远程教育事业发展的,而刊物创办人那种富有魄力、踏实进取的精神也会激发每一个热爱远程教育事业的同路人。

Disaster Prevention Literacy among School Administrators and Teachers： A Study on the Plan for Disaster Prevention and Campus Network Deployment and Experiment in Taiwan

Taiwan is located at the high-risk region of natural disasters with the frequently occurred earthquakes. The importance of the disaster prevention education on campus is made even more obvious by the fact that natural disasters often occur during the school days. Given the leading roles the school administrators and teachers playing in the disaster prevention education of their pupils, this study purposed to investigate how disaster prevention literacy was among them and how disaster prevention literacy differed across various background variables of them. Furthermore, the current study also examined if disaster prevention literacy changed by participation in the disaster prevention education program. The results suggested that, among three dimensions of disaster prevention literacy （i.e., knowledge, attitude, ＆ skills） the participants were highest on disaster prevention skills and lowest on disaster prevention knowledge. Additionally, three dimensions of disaster prevention literacy of the participants differed by school level, age, years of service, personal disaster experience, and school disaster-stricken status. The participation in the disaster prevention education program was also related to participants＇ disaster prevention literacy. The implications of the above findings were discussed and the recommendations were also made for future disaster prevention education programs and research.

Branding of Germany’s Transnational Education and its Potentials in the Arabian Gulf Region

Transnational education(TNE),responding to the growing global demand for education,plays a fundamental role in the current debate on the internationalisation and globalisation of higher education.Conducting a systematic literature review,this paper examines the characteristics of German transnational education,which has little in common with the American and British models,the reasons for its limited presence in the Gulf and its potential for having a stronger footprint.Since education for Germany is a public good,financial gain has never been a decisive factor for German universities to venture abroad.Whilst the Gulf Region is the largest importer of foreign education,German TNE is only represented by one university there,compared to the overwhelming number of US,UK and Australian higher education institutions.Although the Gulf Region is considered as a lucrative and appealing market for foreign education,lack of engagement of German TNE there could be interpreted through public policy-related reasons.Since Germany has already established its footprint in creating a unique brand of TNE,the paper recommends to build upon the country’s expertise in low-risk option for Germany to invest in the Gulf.For this to materialise,Germany must build awareness of its unique brand to stand out among the competition.

5G+ABCDNETS:A Feasible Digital Framework for New Infrastructure of Smart Campus

This paper constructs a feasible framework of new infrastructure of smart campus guided by the industry requirements for the construction of new infrastructure of smart campus and based on the technical cooperation of 5G+ABCDNETS.This paper puts forward the deployment parameter table of 5G hybrid private network in the basic network around 3 sub items and 9 construction environments.We designed the specific deployment links of intelligent laboratory,security supervision and scientific research collaboration supported by 14 key technologies such as heterogeneous computing in ABCDNETS,taking the sub item of“smart scientific research facilities”as an example.The research findings of this paper provide preliminary exploration for promoting the implementation of technology in the six construction directions of new infrastructure for education.

Is Distance Education the Answer to the Nursing Shortage?

This study examined the effectiveness of distance education compared with campus based learning among nursing students. Distance education in nursing curricula is increasing. Academic nurse leaders must demonstrate the effectiveness of distance learning. This study is unique in that two cohorts, distance learners and campus learners, were taught synchronously by the same faculty member. Quantitative measures of student learning outcomes were compared using SPSS. There were no significant differences in learning outcomes between distance learners and campus learners. This study provides empiric support for distance education as a means to address the nursing shortage.

Reflections on the Construction of the Key Elements of Vocational Education and Training System

Campus education and social training are the two most important functions of vocational colleges.Attaching importance to campus education while neglecting social training is a long-standing problem in vocational colleges.Vigorously developing higher vocational education is an inevitable requirement for the high-quality development of education in China and the ardent expectation of the public.Only through the construction a scientific and efficient education and training system and the deep integration of campus education with social training can the design of complementary resources and the improvement of talent training quality take place.The vocational education and training system contains many elements.This study takes teaching resources,teaching staff,and management mechanism as the main research subject and carries out related research work.Firstly,this paper expounds the policy documents of the Chinese government and emphasizes the importance of vocational education.Secondly,the relevant research results of scholars are reviewed.Thirdly,this paper proposes several specific suggestions for the construction of key elements of the vocational education and training system.Then,the main conclusions and prospects are summarized.
