Survey on the Status Quo of Emergency Response Capabilities of Public Health Emergencies in Grassroots Disease Control Institutions in a Certain Area

Objective:To survey and study the emergency response capabilities of grassroots disease control institutions in a certain area for public health emergencies,and to put forward suggestions for rectification.Methods:The study was carried out from March 2022 to March 2023.Field surveys,questionnaire surveys,and interviews were used to investigate and analyze the emergency response capabilities of public health emergencies in 5 county Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(CDCs)in the region.Results:Through the survey,it was found that the professional level of the existing emergency team personnel of the grassroots disease control institutions in this region needs to be improved.There was an overall lack of emergency plans,and the compliance rate of the equipment,inspection,and testing items was low.The health emergency system of the CDCs in the region and the ability of the talent team need to be further improved.Conclusion:The emergency response capacity of grassroots disease control institutions in this region needs to be improved.For this reason,government departments need to increase investment and strengthen the construction of talent teams and hardware settings,and grassroots disease control institutions need to strengthen the construction of the public health emergency system to improve the ability to respond to public health emergencies.

Leveraging core capabilities and environmental dynamism for food traceability and firm performance in a food supply chain: A moderated mediation model

This paper develops a moderated mediation model in which the interactive effects of food traceability and environmental dynamism on firm performance are mediated by the core capabilities(operating capabilities and marketing capabilities)in food supply chain context, by invoking the indirect view of organizational learning theory. Our hypotheses were tested using hierarchical regression and bootstrapping methods with a sample of 216 food manufacturing firms in China, and a survey-based, two-informant design was used to collect data. The results revealed that operating and marketing capabilities fully mediate the food traceability-performance link. In addition, environmental dynamism positively moderates the food traceability-core capabilities link. Moreover, it is found that operating and marketing capabilities transform the interactive impacts of environmental dynamism and food traceability into firm performance. Our study offers a fine-grained picture of the essential food traceability-performance link by revealing for the first time that there is an interactive impacts of food traceability and environmental dynamism on firm performance via core capabilities.

Reflection and operationalization of the common but differentiated responsibilities and respective capabilities principle in the transparency framework under the international climate change regime

“Common but differentiated responsibilities and respective capabilities”(CBDRRC) is the most significant guiding principle in the international climate change regime, created by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in 1992 and inherited by the Paris Agreement 24 years later. This paper examines the operationalization of the CBDRRC principle in one of the cornerstone rules of the regimedits transparency provisions, both in existing practice under the convention and possible evolvement in negotiations under the Paris Agreement, from the perspectives of both international rule-making and domestic implementation. The authors have found a continuous enhancement of the transparency framework since the 1990s, and gradual consolidation of a bifurcated system between developed and developing countries into a common one. The authors argue that the transparency framework, as part of the procedural rules, should be designed to facilitate transparent information sharing in accordance with substantive commitments under international climate change laws. Thus, it indirectly reflects historical responsibilities for climate change, while the framework should also be designed as feasible and reflective of the respective capabilities of nations. Finally, the evolution of the transparency framework will aim to enact common and enhanced provisions while differentiating between developed and developing countries in the near term, and greater transparency-related capacity-building for developing countries.

Hydrogen storage capabilities of the most stable isomers of Na_nB_m(m+n=6) clusters

The most stable isomers of NanBm （m ＋ n = 6） clusters and their hydrogen storage properties are investigated by means of density functional theory with a 6-311＋G（d） basis set. To study the hydrogen storage properties, all of the stable structures of NanBmHx （m ＋ n =6） clusters have been optimized. It shows that boron atoms of NanBm are separated from the other boron atoms, and form satellite BHx （x = 3, 4） clusters around the centre, which attach to the system by a bridging bond of a hydrogen atom or an Na atom. Compared with the hydrogen storage capabilities, the Na3B3 has the highest hydrogen storage capacity among NanBm clusters. The binding energies, interaction energies of hydrogen atom with NanBm clusters and second difference in energy of Na3B3Hx clusters have been calculated. The results show that the stability of the NanBmHx clusters present an odd-even oscillatory effect, as the number of H atoms increases.

Academia Capabilities,Knowledge Transfer Programme Mechanism and Performance

Knowledge transfer(KT)is an attempt by an entity to copy and utilize an explicit type of knowledge from another entity.The main reason is none other than to expand the ability and increasing the value through inter-organization collaborative affiliation.Nonetheless,questions may arise as to what extent do capabilities,mechanism and performance or success is associated.Using inputs from 154 respondents which consist of various KTP(knowledge transfer program)partners namely from the community(total 94)and industry(total 60),this article highlights the associations between the three main categories of variables.Using Smart PLS(partial least squares),the study provides evidence that academia knowledge,academia readiness,academia skills,and ethics and conduct affect KTP performance through the mediation role of KT mechanism.Academia readiness was also found to be the most significant predictor to KT mechanism.In summary,all the significant capabilities have indirect positive impact towards KTP performance.Thus,higher education institutions must emphasize their internal strength in order to continue supporting the success of inter-organization collaborative affiliation.

ZTE Unveils First 4-Path TD-LTE RRU with 40 MHz and 80 W Capabilities

On September 7,2011, ZTE announced it had introduced the industry＇s first 4-path TD-LTE remote radio unit （RRU）. The RRU operates at 40 MHz and has transmitting power of 80 W. The new high-powered, large-capacity RRU supports 2 × 20 MHz TD-LTE carriers and 80 W （20 W×4 paths） of transmission power. It increases the efficiency of edge frequency by more than 30 percent.

Facilitating Multi-generational Talent Collaboration in a Context-Critical World Through Design Capabilities

One of the major concerns in today‘s business world is talent retention and development.Leading and working with multi-generational workforce in the age of digital transformation may seem daunting,but this paper argues that it has its advantages in creating opportunities.Through interviews and case studies,this paper discovers that tensions in multi-generational collaboration often occur during the process of setting priorities for a group because different generations might have brought in different levels of capacity and willingness to take risks,and different levels of trust in,and care for people and the organization.The role of design in this context focuses more on capabilities,including observing generational behavioral nuances through practicing empathetic view,inviting people from different age into conversation and actively listening to them through the practice of shifting perspectives,and communicating complex situations through visualization and materialization for people to feel together.If we look at different generations in an organization as natural continuum of knowledge flow,if we see multigenerational workforce as one of driving forces to maintain organizational balance rather than tearing forces,and if we approach generational attributes with honesty,we could steer away from stereotypes and find common grounds to thrive together.

Sustainability and Innovation Capabilities in an Innovation Award Winner Company

The stimulus for economic development is innovation.The constantly quest of new ways to deliver value results from the need for competitive advantage.The introduction of social and environmental perspectives in the economic debate has made emerge a new element that turned to influence the strategy of companies,besides generating a new competitive scenario:the sustainable development.It is clear,therefore,the increasing requirement for firms to incorporate environmental issues in their processes.Companies face,so,a new paradigm,where innovating and considering the sustainability of the process is crucial to remain active and competitive in the market.This paper aims to identify the influence of the environmental dimension of sustainability on the innovation capabilities of a company.A case study was conducted with a company that won the Brazilian Innovation Award in 2013,due to a sustainable project.The results show that the environmental dimension is a determining factor for the arrangement of the company’s innovation capabilities.It is suggested then an order of importance of the company’s capabilities to achieve innovation through sustainability:(1)management;(2)operations;(3)transaction and(4)development.

Evaluation of intelligent tourism information service capabilities:A case study of Hanzhong City

In the era of the rapid development of information technology,it is of great significance to study the combination of intelligent tourism industry and information industry and evaluate the intelligent tourism information service capabilities(ITISC).The purpose of this study is to explore a methodological approach of assessing ITISC,and offer insights into the theoretical investigation and practical development of ITISC.First,factor analysis is used to determine the object of intelligent tourism information service and the key evaluation items of ITISC.Next,analytic hierarchy process(AHP)is applied to the ITISC evaluation of Hanzhong City,a popular tourist attraction in China,as an example to verify the authenticity and operability of the index system.Then,importance-performance analysis is conducted to diagnose the strengths and weaknesses of Hanzhong City’s ITISC construction and some corresponding measures are put forward.The findings suggest that only through the improvement of tourism public database,the establishment of big data analysis system and the application of various forms of mobile intelligent terminal can achieve the generalization of tourism information,seamless,instant,precise and interactive,which will be the development goal of intelligent tourism information service.

The Dynamic Model of Intellectual Capital Creation in Family Business:The Dynamic Capabilities Perspective

The purpose of this paper is to examine the role of knowledge and learning as a dynamic capability that leads to competitive advantage in family firms.It further conceptually develops a model showing the relationship between intellectual capital,firm performance,and dynamic capabilities in family firms.This study highlights knowledge accumulation,knowledge integration,knowledge codification,and the preservation of socioemotional wealth(SEW)as a set of dynamic capabilities.Such capabilities allow a family firm to sense and seize business opportunities and gain competitive advantages.Findings from the case applications reveal that family businesses benefit from the accumulation of knowledge through expertise,skills,and employment of non-family members and having family involvement as important strategic assets that lead to increased value in family firms’performance.

Evaluating Cities’Independent Innovation Capabilities Based on Patent Using Data Analysis Methods

City innovation ability evaluation is becoming an important research field these days.The quantity and quality of patent that a city owns as well as the capability of managing patent institution indicate urban technological innovation ability and core competence.In this work,starting from patent analysis point of view,we construct urban technological innovation ability evaluation system.Factor analysis method is applied to 15 vice-provincial cities in China to analysis the collected patent data samples and a demonstration research is indicated upon the experimental results.Experimental results show that the littoral cities in south China have distinct advantages over the others in innovation activity,innovation capability,and innovation livability and innovation contribution.In the meantime,some old industrial bases own superiority in innovation cooperation and potential.

Investigating the mediating role of innovation capabilities in relationship between strategic orientation and market performance: a case study of Tabriz State Hospitals

Introduction:Innovation is the creation of new products,services,processes or systems that first begin with a thought and is put into operation after successful implementation.This research aims to investigate the mediating role of innovation capabilities in relationship between strategic orientation and market performance in Tabriz state hospitals.Methods:This study is an applied research in terms of the purpose and it is a descriptive-correlative research in terms of methodology.The statistical population involves the staff of Tabriz state hospitals consisting 362 individuals who were selected randomly.A questionnaire was used to collect data from statistical sample.The strategic orientation was operationally defined based on Laek Cannon et al.’s(2011)model,innovation capabilities were defined based on Jimens-Jimens and Sanz Vale’s(2010)model and market performance was defined based on Hajipour et al.’s model(2012).Results:The results showed that the value of CHI SQUAR/DF for the estimated model is 0.817 which indicates the proper fitness of the model.Considering the standardized factor loads and meaningfulness coefficient it can be suggested that strategic orientation affects market performance with the mediating role of innovation capabilities.Meanwhile,the effect of strategic orientation and innovation capabilities on the market performance was confirmed based on the linear regression results.Conclusion:Innovation capabilities play an active role in the relationship between strategic orientation and market performance.Therefore,senior management of organizations needs to work to improve their performance by supporting the ability to innovate and formulating and implementing strategic orientations.

From the resources which form the enterprise information technology capabilities, four factors that affect sustainable competitive advantages： information technology infrastructure, human resources, intangible resources and information technology resources associated have been isolated and their mechanisms have been analyzed.

Analysis of detection capabilities of LEO reconnaissance satellite constellation based on coverage performance

In the design problem of low earth orbit(LEO) reconnaissance satellite constellation, optimization of coverage performance is the design goal in most current methods. However,in the using process, the user only concerns with the detection capabilities rather than coverage performance. To establish the relationship between these two aspects, the reconnaissance processes of normal stochastic targets are considered and the mathematic models of detection processes are built. The indicators of coverage performance are used to evaluate the detection probability and expectation of detection time delay, which are important factors in reconnaissance constellation estimation viewed from military intelligence discipline. The conclusions confirmed by the final simulation will be useful in LEO reconnaissance constellation design, optimization and evaluation.
