A new adaptive filtering principle based on capability control and semi-blind method is presented. A new semi-blind space-time equalizer based on constant modulus characteristic and structure risk minimum (SRM) criterion is also proposed. The equalizer sufficiently exploits the learning information of communication signals by using the structure information of filter itself through capability control technique. Namely, it maximizes the amount of learning information to im- prove filter tracking performance. Simulations are carried out and the result is compared with that of typical recursive least squares space-time equalizer (RLS-STE) and constant modulus semi-blind space-time equalizer ( CM-SB-STE ). The results show that, even if with insufficient training data, the SRM constant modulus semi-blind space-time equalizer (SCM-SB-STE) keeps good tracking per- formance, showing promises in mobile wireless communications. 展开更多

The set of forces and moments that can be generated by thrusters of a spacecraft is called the"control capability"with respect to the thruster configuration. If the control capability of a thruster configuration is adequate to fulfill a given space mission,we say this configuration is a feasible one with respect to the task. This study proposed a new way to analyze the control capability of the complex thruster configuration.Precise mathematical definitions of feasibility were proposed, based on which a criterion to judge the feasibility of the thruster configuration was presented through calculating the shortest distance to the boundary of the controllable region as a function of the thruster configuration. Finally, control capability analysis for the complex thruster configuration based on its feasibility with respect to the space mission was given followed by a 2-D thruster configuration example to demonstrate its validity. 展开更多

For the primary mirror of a large-scale telescope, an electro-hydraulic position control system(EHPCS) is used in the primary mirror support system. The EHPCS helps the telescope improve imaging quality and requires a micron-level position control capability with a high convergence rate, high tracking accuracy, and stability over a wide mirror cell rotation region. In addition, the EHPCS parameters vary across different working conditions, thus rendering the system nonlinear. In this paper, we propose a robust closed-loop design for the position control system in a primary hydraulic support system. The control system is synthesized based on quantitative feedback theory. The parameter bounds are defined by system modeling and identified using the frequency response method. The proposed controller design achieves robust stability and a reference tracking performance by loop shaping in the frequency domain. Experiment results are included from the test rig for the primary mirror support system, showing the effectiveness of the proposed control design. 展开更多
