In cognitive radio networks, the problem of power control is an important issue. In this paper, we mainly focus on the problem of power control for fading channels in cognitive radio networks. The spectrum sharing underlay scenario is considered, where SUs are allowed to coexist with PUs on the condition that the outage probability of PUs is below the maximum outage probability threshold limitation due to the interference caused by SUs. Moreover, besides the outage probability threshold which is defined to protect the performance of PUs, we also consider the maximum transmit power constraints for each SU. With such a setup, we emphasize the problem of power control to minimize the outage probability of each SU in fading channels. Then, based on the statistical information of the fading channel, the closed expression for outage probability is given in fading channels. The Dual-Iteration Power Control (DIPC) algorithm is also proposed to minimize the outage probability based on Perron-Frobenius theory and gradient descent method under the constraint condition. Finally, simulation results are illustrated to demonstrate the performance of the proposed scheme.展开更多

Hence, it is necessary to reduce energy consumption. Both the transmission power of nodes and the interference among nodes influence energy consumption. In this paper, we design a power control and channel allocation game model with low energy consumption (PCCAGM). This model contains transmission power, node interference, and residual energy. [Phys. Rev. A 68 (2003)042317] in collective-rotation noise channel, an excellent model of noise analysis is proposed. In the security analysis, the method of the entropy theory is introduced, and is compared with QDCP, an error rate point Qo(M : (Q0, 1.0)) is given. In different noise levels, if Eve wants to obtain the same amount of information, the error rate Q is distinguishable. The larger the noise level ~ is, the larger the error rate Q is. When the noise level ~ is lower than 11%, the high error rate is 0.153 without eavesdropping. Lastly, the security of the proposed protocol is discussed. It turns out that the quantum channel will be safe when Q 〈 0.153. Similarly, if error rate Q〉 0.153 = Q0, eavesdropping information I 〉 1, which means that there exist eavesdroppers in the quantum channel, and the quantum channel will not be safe anymore.展开更多

A formula is derived to express the relation between fluctuating velocities and the friction drag coefficient. With the application of electromagnetic force, the in-depth relations among the fluctuating velocities near the wall, Reynolds stress, and the effect of drag reduction for different Reynolds numbers are discussed. The results indicate that the maximum drag reductions can be obtained with an optimal combination of parameters for each case of different Reynolds numbers. The fluctuating velocities along the streamwise and normal directions are suppressed significantly, while the fluctuating velocity along the spanwise direction is enhanced dramatically due to the spanwise electromagnetic force. However, the values of Reynolds stress depend on the fluctuating velocities along the streamwise and normal directions rather than that along the spanwise direction. Therefore, the significant effect of drag reduction is obtained. Moreover, the maximum drag reduction is weakened due to the decay of control effect for fluctuating velocities as the Reynolds number increases.展开更多

One is based on the minimization of a bit error rate (BER), and the other is based on the maximization of a fuzzy signal-to-noise ratio. In these schemes, different powers are allocated to individual transmit an- tennas rather than equal power in the conventional one. For the first scheme, the optimal PC procedure is developed. It is shown that the Lagrange multiplier for the constrained optimization in the power control does exist and is unique. A practical iterative algorithm based on Newton's method for finding the Lagrange multiplier is proposed. In the second scheme, some existing schemes are included, and a suboptimal PC procedure is developed by means of the asymptotic performance analysis. With this suboptimal scheme, a simple PC calculation formula is provided, and thus the calculation of the PC will be straightforward. Moreover, the suboptimal scheme has the BER performance close to the optimal scheme. Simulation results show that the two PC schemes can provide BER lower than the equal PC and antenna selection scheme under the imperfect CSI.展开更多

We present performance analysis of the adaptive MCM systems supported by computer simulation for the case of the m-Nakagami fading and additive white Gaussian noise in the forward and backward channels. Evaluation of the power gain of the proposed strategies and its comparison with uniform power loading shows that the gain depends on the fading depth and average signal to noise ratio in the system sub-channels.展开更多

文摘A quantum secure direct communication protocol over a collective rotating channel is proposed. The protocol encodes logical bits in noiseless subspaces, and so it can function over a quantum channel subjected to an arbitrary degree of collective rotating noise. Although entangled states are used, both the sender and receiver are only required to perform single-particle product measurement or Pauli operations. The protocol is feasible with present-day technique.

文摘This paper proposes a novel optimization scheme to support stable and reliable vehicle-to-everything connections in two-tier networks, where the uplink channel of the cellular user is reused by underlay vehicle-to-vehicle communications. However, considering complex channel fading and high-speed vehicle movement, the cer-tainty assumption is impractical and fails to maintain power control strategy in reality in the traditional statical vehicular networks.Rather than the perfect channel state information assumption, the first-order Gauss-Markov process which is a probabilistic model affected by vehicle speed and fading is introduced to describe imperfect channel gains. Moreover, interference management is a major challenge in reusing communications, especially in uncertain channel environments.Power control is an effective way to realize interference management, and optimal power allocation can ensure that interference of the user meets the communication requirements. In this study, the sum-rate-oriented power control scheme and minimum-rate-oriented power control scheme were implemented to manage interference and satisfy different design objectives.Since both of these schemes are non-convex and intractable, the Bernstein approximation and successive convex approximation methods were adopted to transform the original problems into convex ones.Furthermore,a novel distributed robust power control al-gorithm was developed to determine the optimal solutions. The performance of the algorithm was evaluated through numerical simulations, and the results indicate that the proposed algorithm is effective in vehicular communication networks with uncertain channel environments.
文摘In this paper we investigate the power allocation optimization for spectrum efficient multi-pair two-way massive MIMO (TWMM) amplify-and-forward (AF) full-duplex (FD) relay over Ricean fading channels, where multiple user-pairs exchange information within pair through a AF-FD relay with very large number of antennas, while each user equipped with a single antenna. First, the zeroforcing reception/zeroforcing transmission and maximum-ratio combining/maximum ratio transmission processing matrices with imperfect channel state information at the relay are presented. Then, the unified asymptotic signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) expression of the system at general power scaling schemes are investigates. Finally, the joint user-relay power allocation (JURPA) scheme is proposed to improve the spectral efficiency of TWMM-AF-FD relay system. Simulation results show that the proposed JURPA scheme outperforms traditional user-side only power allocation scheme.
文摘We consider two non-iterative algorithms of adaptive power loading for multicarrier modulation (MCM) system, The first one minimizes the average power of the system transmitter and ensures the preset average bit-error rate, while the second reduces the average transmitting power subject to the given values of demanded bit-error rate and of the outage probability. The algorithms may be used for power-efficient management of the up-link in cellular communication, where mobile terminals use rechargeable batteries, or of the downlink in satellite communication with solar power source of a transponder. We present performance analysis of the adaptive MCM systems supported by computer simulation for the case of the m-Nakagami fading and additive white Gaussian noise in the forward and backward channels. Evaluation of the power gain of the proposed strategies and its comparison with uniform power loading shows that the gain depends on the fading depth and average signal to noise ratio in the system sub-channels.

文摘In this letter, we present a modified vector-perturbation precoding scheme for the multiple-input multiple-output broadcast channel, where a perturbation vector is chosen to take into account both the instantaneous power and the instantaneous peak power of the transmitted signal. This perturbation vector is obtained by using the closest point search, with the aid of the lattice-reduction algorithm. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme yields a tradeoff among power efficiency, peak-to-average power ratio reduction, and complexity.
