A survey of the literature available shows that these species are used mostly for the treatment of respiratory and gastrointestinal disorders. Additionally, some of these Elsholtzia species show antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, relieving fever, analgesic activities and myocardial ischemia protection. It is presented that gr... Datong coal was extracted with CS2, n-hexane, benzene, methanol, acetone, tetrahydro-furan(THF) and THF/methanol(1:3,v/v) mixed solvent sequentially. The extracts were analyzed with GC/MS. It is presented that group seperation of soluble organic compounds in the coal can be achieved by fractionated extraction using different solvents. The results show that CS2 was effective for extracting arenes from the coal sample, n-Hexane extractable fraction from Datong coal mainly consists of n-alkanes. A great variety of oxygen-containing compounds are dominant in the components of methanol-soluble fraction. Acyclic isoprenoids, pentecyclic triterpanes and a series of cyclohexanes with long-chain alkyl-substitutes are detected in acetone-soluble fraction. Dicyclic aramatic hydrocarbons are identified in benzene-soluble fraction and 4-6 cyclic condensed aramatic hydrocarbons are identified in THF-soluble fraction. The molecular structures detection of 1,2-dichlorobenzene, 2,4-dibromophnol, 2,4,6-tribromophenol and 4-chlorobenzophenone firstly provide information for existence form of bromine and chlorine in coal. 展开更多

Main components in CS2 soluble fraction from Shenfu coal are alkyl-substituted arenes. Aliphatic hydrocarbons are overwhelmingly predominant in n-hexane-soluble fraction. Dito tricyclic aramatic hydrocarbons are identified in benzene-soluble fraction. The molecular structures detection of 2, 4, 6-trichlorobenzenamine and 3, 3', 4, 4', 5, 5'-hexachloro-1, 1'- biphenyl and 2-chlorocyclohexanol firstly provide information for existence form of chlorine in coal. 展开更多

By means of solvent extraction and repeated chromatography on silica gel, Sephadex LH-20, HPLC, and preparative TLC, the ethanol extract of the stems of Homalium ceylanicum(Flacourtiaceae/Salicaceae sensu lato) was chemically investigated, which led to the isolation of 13 constituents, including five lignans(1–5) and three isocoumarins(6–8). Based on the spectroscopic analysis and comparison of its 1H NMR and 13C NMR data with those in literatures, their structures were identified as(–)-5'-methoxyisolariciresinol 3α-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(1),(+)-lyoniresinol 3α-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(2),(+)-isolarisiresinol 3α-O-β-Dglucopyranoside(3),(–)-isolarisiresinol 3α-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(4), icariside E5(5), 3-phenylisocoumarin(6), homalicine(7),(–)-dihydrohomalicine(8), friedelin(9), 4-hydroxybenzoic acid(10), catechol(11), methyl-α-arabinofuranoside(12), and uridine(13). Objective:Astragali Radix(AR)is one of the most widely used traditional Chinese medicines(TCMs)for tonic,which can be divided into wild-simulated and cultivated AR according to its cultivation method.However,whether cultivated AR can replace wild-simulated AR has always been a concern.Methods:In this study,a rapid,highly sensitive and specific analytical method using ultra-high performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry(UHPLC-MS)was developed to quantitatively measure 12 chemical constituents of AR in the different cultivation methods.Results:AR samples were analyzed with a good linear regression relationship(R2,0.9983–0.9995),precisions(relative standard deviation(RSD),1.31%-2.36%),repeatability(RSD,2.65%-4.92%),stability(RSD,1.50%-4.05%),and recovery(95.13%-106.52%).Through the determination of AR samples,we found the components of favonoids in wild-simulated AR were higher than cultivated AR,the saponins in cultivated AR were higher,the ratio of saponins/favonoids in cultivated AR was higher than wildsimulated AR.Conclusion:Based on this research,it could provide guidance for the quality control of AR. 展开更多

Plant cyclopeptides, cyclic compounds formed mainly by the peptidic bonds of 2--37 protein and non-protein amino acids (mainly L-amino acids) and found in higher plants, have been attractive for their extensive bioa... Plant cyclopeptides, cyclic compounds formed mainly by the peptidic bonds of 2--37 protein and non-protein amino acids (mainly L-amino acids) and found in higher plants, have been attractive for their extensive bioactivities and distinctive molecular architectures. During the last half century's study, about 500 cyclopeptides divided into eight types have been isolated from over 120 species, which belong to over 20 families and 60 genera. Some cyclopeptides showed potential anti-tumor, sedative, immunosuppressive, and uterotonic activities. In the Chinese Pharmacopoeia (CP, 2010 Version), 23 species (14 families, 18 genera) containing cyclopeptides have been re- corded in the origins of 24 traditional Chinese medicines (TCMs). Heterophyllin B (64), first reported by us from Pseudostellaria heterophylla in 1993 was cited for the first time in CP as the standard substance of cyclopeptides for quality control. In this review, we highlight the progress in the chemical studies of these cyclopeptide-containing TCMs, in particular recent results in our group's publications. 展开更多

On the basis of spectroscopic methods, the structures of these compounds were elucidated as 4-(9H-β-carbolin- 1-yl)-4-oxo-butyric acid (1), carboxymethyl isoferulate (2), isoferulic acid (3), cirsiumaldehyde (4), 5-hydroxy-4-oxo-pentanoic acid (5), triacontane (6), palmic acid (7), β-sitosterol (8), and daucosterol (9).
