A high-performance liquid chromatographic method for the simultaneous determination of KR-008 and its metabolite in biological fluids was developed The samples were injected directly without further treatment, the compounds were separated and analysed on a reversed- phase column under isocratic conditions, including ion pairing.Concentrations in urine and bile were determined by an external standard method. The detection limit was 0.8μg/ml in urine.Preliminary data showed that, following i.p.administration(120mg/kg)of KR-008 to rats, approximately 2.8% of the dose was excreted in urine as unchanged compound and more than 8.9% was as a metabolite;in bile it was 0.73% excreted as unchanged form and above 0.29% as the metabolite. The peak biliary concentration of KR-008 was 0.39mg/ml at 20min after dosing. 展开更多

The cellular fatty acids from a total of 62 strains of Torulopsis glabrata (T. glabrata), Saccharomyces cerevisiae (S. cerevisiae), Rhodotorula rubra (R. rubra), Candida krusei (C. krusei), Candida albicans (C. albicans) and Candida tropicalis (C. tropicalis) were examined by capillary gas chromatography. On the basis of fatty acid composition, all strains could be differentiated as to species. These results indicate that capillary gas chromatographic analysis of cellular fatty acids is likely to be useful for rapid identification or grouping of newer isolates of yeast species. 展开更多

In order to suppress the harm of gas explosion, the current study researched on the body of vacuum chamber. The previous studies verifed that it could obviously lower the explosion overpressure by reasonably arranging vacuum chamber on pipe. That is to say,the vacuum chamber has the effect of absorbing wave and energy. To further deeply analyze the vacuum chamber suppressing gas explosion, this research designed the L-type pipe of gas explosion, and compared the experimental results of gas explosion with vacuum chamber and without vacuum chamber.Besides, using the gas chromatograph, this study also investigated the gas compositions in the pipe before and after explosion. The results show that:(1)without vacuum chamber, the maximum value of explosion overpressure is 0.22 MPa,with60 ms duration, and after explosion, the concentration of oxygen drops to 12.07%,but the concentration of carbon monoxide increases to 4392.3 10à6,and the concentration of carbon dioxide goes up to7.848%,which can make the persons in danger suffocate and die;(2)with vacuum chamber, explosion overpressure drops to 0.18 MPa,with 20 ms duration or less, and after explosion, the concentration of oxygen still remains 12.07%,but the concentration of methane is 7.83%,however the concentration of carbon monoxide is only 727.24 10à6,and the concentration of carbon dioxide is only 1.219%,at the this moment the concentration ratio of toxic gas drops by more than 83%in comparison to be that without vacuum chamber.Consequently, the vacuum chamber can guarantee that most methane does not take part in chemical reaction, and timely quenches the deflagration reaction of gas and oxygen.Because of the two points mentioned above,it reduces the explosion energy, and lowers that the overpressure of blast wave impacts and damages on the persons and facilities, and also decreases the consumption of oxygen and the production of the toxic gas. Therefore,it is safe to conclude that the vacuum chamber not only absorbs wave and energy, but also prevents and suppresses explosion. 展开更多

Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS)is an extremely important analytical technique that is widely used in organic geochemistry. It is the only approach to capture biomarker features of organic matter and provides the key evidence for oil-source correlation and thermal maturity determination. However, the conventional way of processing and interpreting the mass chromatogram is both timeconsuming and labor-intensive,which increases the research cost and restrains extensive applications of this method. To overcome this limitation,a correlation model is developed based on the convolution neural network(CNN)to link the mass chromatogram and biomarker features of samples from the Triassic Yanchang Formation,Ordos Basin,China. In this way,the mass chromatogram can be automatically interpreted. This research first performs dimensionality reduction for 15 biomarker parameters via the factor analysis and then quantifies the biomarker features using two indexes(i.e.MI and PMI)that represent the organic matter thermal maturity and parent material type, respectively.Subsequently, training, interpretation, and validation are performed multiple times using different CNN models to optimize the model structure and hyper-parameter setting, with the mass chromatogram used as the input and the obtained MI and PMI values for supervision(label). The optimized model presents high accuracy in automatically interpreting the mass chromatogram, with R2values typically above 0.85 and0.80 for the thermal maturity and parent material interpretation results, respectively. The significance of this research is twofold:(i)developing an efficient technique for geochemical research;(ii)more importantly, demonstrating the potential of artificial intelligence in organic geochemistry and providing vital references for future related studies. 展开更多

It is now widely suggested that people who are dependent on nicotine should switch from ordinary tobacco smoking to alternative products, which at least reduce the overall harm from smoking. A number of alternatives are now popular, including electronic cigarettes and heatsticks. In this work comparative analysis of the smoke/aerosol emission from 3R4F standard cigarettes and iQOS heatsticks was undertaken. For this, gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis was applied, to measure the non-volatile compounds of smoke/aerosol emission from individual samples, with the specific aim to determine their content of nicotine and selected other main components. All measurement data were collected under the Health Canada Intense (HCI) puffing regime. The most relevant findings of the present investigation can be summarized as follows. First, the number of measured aerosol components in the iQOS samples, with respect to those of 3R4F samples, was significantly lower (notably 37 versus 12 components). Second, the analysis of the iQOS and 3R4F GC-MS chromatographic fingerprints indicated a non-nicotine global component reduction (number and areas excluding nicotine) of larger than 80% for the iQOS samples in comparison to 3R4F samples. Third, the nicotine content of the iQOS aerosol was less than half that contained in the 3R4F smoke. The results from the present investigation indicate that—except for nicotine—smokers are exposed to a largely reduced number and amount of non-volatile, non-nicotine components in the iQOS heatstick aerosol, in comparison to those in the 3R4F cigarette smoke. 展开更多

This study aimed to evaluate the EDC (endocrine disruptors compounds) in the city of Sao Paulo's water sources, from samples collected at predetermined sampling points and to evaluate the adsorptive capacity of these compounds in different types of activated carbon. The effects of these EDC on humans are not well established due to the necessary large exposure time for the effect's manifestation. After tests using powdered and granular activated carbon, all samples were filtered under vacuum using cellulose acetate membrane (0.45 μm) to remove eventual impurities, and posteriorly carded out the solid-phase extraction SPE (solid-phase extraction) and chromatographic analysis. The results lead to the conclusion that both powdered activated carbon have removal effectiveness of these compounds by adsorption. Furthermore, great amount of endocrine disruptors were found at several sampling points in river and city's water reservoirs, which shows different levels of pollution of water sources, some of them responsible for the watersupply of the city of Silo Paulo, Brazil. 展开更多

The description of a plane wave diffracted by a circular aperture is directly started from the Maxwell's equations. Based on the vector angular spectrum representation of Maxwell's equations, the diffracted plane wave is decomposed into the TE and TM terms. The analytical TE and TM terms in the far field are presented by stationary phase. As the TE and TM terms are orthogonal to each other in the far field, their sum constitutes the so-called Airy disc pattern. Therefore, this research reveals the composition of Airv disc. which is beneficial to deepen and enhance the recognition of the classical diffraction problem. 展开更多
