The characteristics of the spatial distribution of soil loss in Jinzhou City were analyzed. The results showed that the soil erosion area of Jinzhou City in 2010 was 7 284.87 km2, accounting for 70.72% of the total area of Jinzhou City. The average soil erosion modulus was 18.27 t/(hm2·a), belonging to mild erosion. Two slope belts of 15°-25° and 6°-15° were the main soil erosion re-gions in Jinzhou City. Soil erosion in Jinzhou City was mainly concentrated in the rural residential land and the dry land, and the soil erosion amount of these two land types accounted for 60.97%of the total soil erosion amount in Jinzhou City in 2010. It was suggested that the treatment of these two land types should be strengthened and be main treatment object for soil and water conservation in future. The research could provide scientific basis for the governments to make policies about soil loss.展开更多

The results showed thatthe semivariogram of soil organic matter is best described by spherical model, the best model forsemivariograms of soil total N and available K is exponential models and that of available P belongsto linear with sill model. Those soil properties have different spatial correlations respectively, the lag of organic matter is the highest and that of available P is the lowest, the spatialcorrelation of N and available K belongs to moderate degree. Spatial heterogeneities are differenttoo, the degree of organic matter and total N are higher, the degree of available K is in the nextplace and that of available P is the lowest. Influenced by the shape, topography and soil of thestudy area, all isotropies of available P are obvious in all directions while anisotropies of othersare manifested. According to the analytical results, supported by GIS, Kriging and IDW methods areapplied to describe and analyze the spatial distribution of soil properties. The results indicatethat soil organic matter, total N and available K are distributed regularly from northeast tosouthwest, while available P is distributed randomly.展开更多

The results indicated:(1) The urban hierarchy system takes Kashgar city as the main center,Artux city,Yarkant county and Maralbexi county as the sub-centers; (2) The intensity of economic ties among Kashgar city and each county is much higher than others. The interaction of Kashgar city,Shufu county and Shule county are the strongest, and the economic ties of Yarkant,Kagilik,Poskam counties are relatively close; All cities in the study area are economically subordinate to Kashgar city. (3) Three cities of Kashgar city,Shufu county and Shule county should connect strongly, with Kashgar city as the core. The cities and towns along the Southern Xinjiang Railway and along National Road 315 should be regarded as two strips, and the two city strips along the border, and the city strip along Provincial Road 215 should be treated as three axes. The ring structure strategy of 'core ring, closer ring and radiated ring' was proposed. (4) It was proposed to build Kashgar city group in the north, and Yarkant city group in the south,Maralbexi city group in the southeast, and Taxkorgan border city group with four inner groups’ development strategy.展开更多

Two questions are addressed. Firstly, by using international organizations as the subjects and quantitative analysis of the spatial distribution of their offices, the overall position of Chinese cities in the global distribution of international organizations is estimated. The results show that 22 Chi- nese cities are involved in international political affairs. Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou dominate these activities and have high po- litical global-city status. Secondly, through qualitative analysis of Guangzhou City, the authors explore how its status as a center for intemational organizations has been shaped in recent years. The locational decision-making process is analyzed and the factors are demonstrated at both national and city scales. The definition of international organizations as used in this study refers not only to those supranational bodies that have the ability to manage relations across states (such as the European Union), but also those in- ter-governmental organizations (IGOs), international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and diplomatic representatives and delegations that today also manage and regulate relations between and among states.展开更多

The united international central city is the best distribution model not only in its polycentric spatial structure but also in organizing form. Its feasibility and practicability are thoroughly proved from various aspects including urban planning principles, comparison of port cities, special characteristics of cooperation in TREDZ, and natural, social, cultural factors etc.展开更多

A wide range of planning and policies has been and/or will be designed to protect urban green spaces and optimize their spatial pattern. A better design or planning of urban green space can make a major contribution to quality of environment and urban life, and furthermore can decide whether we can have a sustainable development in the urban area. Information about the status quo of urban green spaces can help planners design more effectively. However, how to quantify and capture such information will be the essential question we face. In this paper, to quantify the urban green space, a new method comprising gradient analysis, landscape metrics and GIS was developed through a case of Jinan City. The results demonstrate: 1) the gradient analysis is a valid and reliable instrument to quantify the urban green space spatial pattern precisely; 2) using moving window, explicit landscape metrics were spatially realized. Compared with quantifying metrics in the entire landscape, it would be better to link pattern with process and establish an important basis for analyzing the ecological and socioeconomic functions of green spaces.展开更多

Shenyang, as a typical old industrial city in China, has experienced considerable changes in spatial distribution of population in the process of urban transformation, resulting in the change of urban spatial structure. Based on the sub-district data of Chinese national population censuses in 1982, 1990 and 2000, this study simulates the evolution pattern of spatial distribution of urban population in Shenyang City. Using statistical method and exploratory spatial data analysis (ESDA), we found that the population distribution, on the whole, has presented a balanced and decentralized trend since the 1980s, which characterizes with Chinese suburbanization. Furthermore, based on the investigation of the pattern of population distribution, it is concluded that the negative exponential model fitted the distribution best, and population concentration in the inner suburb kept increasing gradually, meanwhile, the spatial structure of population distribution has presented a polycentric feature since the 1980s. The parameters of the model show that population in the urban core concentrate significantly all the time. The increase of population in the inner suburb influences the population distribution pattern more and more importantly, but the concentration intensity of population cores in inner suburb is still low.展开更多

文摘Supported by RS technology and GIS technology, the amount of soil loss and soil erosion intensity in Jinzhou City in 2010 were quantitatively evaluated by the modified RUSLE model. The research could provide scientific basis for the governments to make policies about soil loss.
文摘Figure-ground theory, linkage theory and place theory of Roger Trancik were applied, field investigation,photo-taking and inductive analysis combined to analyze spatial configuration of urban historic blocks, physical environment, wills of people and also interaction between human behavior and environment in Wenshufang,Chengdu City of Sichuan Province. The results showed that on the basis of a clear bidimensional virtual-real structure,"linear parameters" and "dynamic structures" of spatial connection were established for Wenshufang, environment elements and humanistic needs of the place were respected, connection vitality of lane and yard spaces maintained. In this way,Wenshufang successfully inherited Buddhist cultures and folk cultures, providing a useful reference for the protection and research on historic blocks in other cities.
文摘Based on regionalized variable theory, semivariograms of geo-statistics wereused to research the spatial variation of soil properties quantitatively. The results indicatethat soil organic matter, total N and available K are distributed regularly from northeast tosouthwest, while available P is distributed randomly.

文摘In this paper, the oasis cities in Kashgar Prefecture and Kizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture are taken as an example, through the factor analysis, spatial attraction interaction model and location quotient methods, urban hierarchy system, the intensity of urban economic ties, economic subordination degree, and structure of city functions were analyzed. (4) It was proposed to build Kashgar city group in the north, and Yarkant city group in the south,Maralbexi city group in the southeast, and Taxkorgan border city group with four inner groups’ development strategy.

文摘This paper principally focuses on the morphological differences, spatial pattern and regional types of rural settlements in Xuzhou City of Jiangsu Province in China.Using satellite images of Xuzhou City taken in 2007 and 2008 and models of exploratory spatial data analysis(ESDA) and spatial metrics, the paper conducts a quantitative analysis of the morphological pattern of rural settlements, and finds significant characteristics.First, rural settlements in Xuzhou City are significantly agglomerated in terms of their spatial distribution;meanwhile, there is significant variation in the geographical density distribution.Second, the scale of rural settlements in Xuzhou City is larger than the average in Jiangsu Province, and the histogram of the scale data is more even and more like a gamma distribution. There are a significant high-value cluster in the scale distribution, and local negative correlation between the scale and density distribution of rural settlements in Xuzhou City.Third, the morphology of rural settlements in Xuzhou City shows relative regularity with good connection and integrity, but the spatial variation of the morphology is anisotropic. Finally, according to the characteristics of density, scale, and form of rural settlements, the rural settlements of Xuzhou City are divided into three types:A high-density and point-scattered type,a low-density and cluster-like type and a mass-like and sparse type. The research findings could be used as the scientific foundation for rural planning and community rebuilding, particularly in less-developed areas.

文摘In this study, the authors use a political perspective to explore the relative global status of cities in China. The definition of international organizations as used in this study refers not only to those supranational bodies that have the ability to manage relations across states (such as the European Union), but also those in- ter-governmental organizations (IGOs), international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and diplomatic representatives and delegations that today also manage and regulate relations between and among states.
文摘This paper puts forward a new conceptual idea on constructing an international central city in the Tumen River Economy Development Zone (TREDZ) on the basis of analysis of the superiorities and problems in developing city, and from the view point of present social, economic and natural conditions in this area and the background of Northeast Asia. The united international central city is the best distribution model not only in its polycentric spatial structure but also in organizing form. Its feasibility and practicability are thoroughly proved from various aspects including urban planning principles, comparison of port cities, special characteristics of cooperation in TREDZ, and natural, social, cultural factors etc.
文摘Urban green spaces have been arisen growing concern responded to the social and environmental costs of urban sprawl. Compared with quantifying metrics in the entire landscape, it would be better to link pattern with process and establish an important basis for analyzing the ecological and socioeconomic functions of green spaces.

文摘The spatial distribution of urban population can reflect significantly urban functions and development status. The increase of population in the inner suburb influences the population distribution pattern more and more importantly, but the concentration intensity of population cores in inner suburb is still low.

文摘Based on the remote sensing images of urban land use of Chongqing City Proper in the last 30years(from 1978 to 2011),The paper focuses on the impact of urban spatial expansion on urban ecosystem service. The charactereristics of urban spatial expansion pattern are expressed by Landscape Expansion Index and Index of Fractal Dimension.Taking advantage of calculation of these two indices, changes of the ecological service values in the main urban area of Chongqing caused by the variation of urban expansion patterns are evaluated and the interrelationship is analyzed. The main conclusions and results are as follows;in Chongqing City Proper, the ecological service value decreased rapidly from 1978 to 2011,especially in the period of 2002-2011.Urban spatial expansion pattern has exerted significant impact on urban ecosystem service value.Edge-expansion pattern broke into a great deal of urban enclaves and caused the disadvantage effect of the function of urban ecological system. At the same time, negative correlation existed between the indices of fractal dimension and the ecosystem service value.
