A robust digital predistortion(DPD)technique utilizing negative feedback iteration is introduced for linearizing power amplifiers(PAs)in long term evolution(LTE)/5G systems.Different from the conventional direct learn...A robust digital predistortion(DPD)technique utilizing negative feedback iteration is introduced for linearizing power amplifiers(PAs)in long term evolution(LTE)/5G systems.Different from the conventional direct learning and indirect learning structure,the proposed DPD suggests a two-step method to identify the predistortion.Firstly,a negative feedback based iteration is used to estimate the optimal DPD signal.Then the corresponding DPD parameters are extracted by forward modeling with the input signal and optimal DPD signal.The iteration can be applied to both single-band and dual-band PAs,which will achieve superior linear performance than the conventional direct learning DPD while having a relatively low computational complexity.The measurement is carried out on a broadband Doherty PA(DPA)with a 200 MHz bandwidth LTE signal at 2.1 GHz,and on a 5G DPA with two 10 MHz LTE signals at 3.4/3.6 GHz for validation in dual-band scenarios.展开更多

So, a reliability analysis method used to deal with DICLFL considering shutdown correlation is provided based on GO methodology.Firstly, a new operator, which is used to describe DICLFL considering shutdown correlation,whose number is 1,is created and named as Type 9C operator. And then,the formulas of type 9C operator are derived based on Markov process theory. Finally,the new method presented in this paper is adopted to conduct the reliability analysis of an electro-hydraulic servo speed control system. The analysis result is compared with those of Monte Carlo simulation and fault tree analysis( FTA). The comparison results show that this new reliability analysis method based on GO methodology is feasible and meaningful for reliability analysis of repairable systems with DICLFL considering shutdown correlation.Meantime,it will be useful for more other applications.展开更多

Plants exhibit an astonishing ability to regulate organ regeneration upon wounding.Excision of leaf explants promotes the biosynthesis of indole-3-acetic acid(IAA),which is polar-transported to excised regions,where c...Plants exhibit an astonishing ability to regulate organ regeneration upon wounding.Excision of leaf explants promotes the biosynthesis of indole-3-acetic acid(IAA),which is polar-transported to excised regions,where cell fate transition leads to root founder cell specification to induce de novo root regeneration.The regeneration capacity of plants has been utilized to develop in vitro tissue culture technologies.Here,we report that IAA accumulation near the wounded site of leaf explants is essential for callus formation on 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid(2,4-D)-rich callus-inducing medium(CIM).Notably,a high concentration of 2,4-D does not compensate for the action of IAA because of its limited efflux;rather,it lowers IAA biosynthesis via a negative feedback mechanism at an early stage of in vitro tissue culture,delaying callus initiation.The auxin negative feedback loop in CIM-cultured leaf explants is mediated by an auxin-inducible APETALA2 transcription factor,ENHANCER OF SHOOT REGENERATION 2(ESR2),along with its interacting partner HISTONE DEACETYLASE 6(HDA6).The ESR2–HDA6 complex binds directly to,and removes the H3ac mark from,the YUCCA1(YUC1),YUC7,and YUC9 loci,consequently repressing auxin biosynthesis and inhibiting cell fate transition on 2,4-D-rich CIM.These findings indicate that negative feedback regulation of auxin biosynthesis by ESR2 and HDA6 interferes with proper cell fate transition and callus initiation.展开更多
As the competition from companies in low cost countries increases,the need for more automated production which reduces labour cost while improving product quality is required.A new rotary compression bending set-up wi...As the competition from companies in low cost countries increases,the need for more automated production which reduces labour cost while improving product quality is required.A new rotary compression bending set-up with automated closed-loop feedback control is thus being developed.By transferring in-process measurement data into an algorithm for predicting springback and bend angle prior to the unloading sequence,the dimensional accuracy is improved.This work focuses on the development of this steering model.Since the method used does not increase cycle time,it is attractive for high-volume industrial applications.More than 150 bending tests of AA6060 extrusions were conducted to determine the capability of the technology.The results show that by activating the automated closed-loop feedback system,the dimensional accuracy of the bent parts is more than three times better than that obtained by traditional compression bending.Since the steering model permits the direct use of additional process data,such as instant wall thickness and cross sectional distortions,it is believed that extension of the measurement capabilities would improve the accuracy of the methodology even further.展开更多

An algorithm is proposed for determining the number of increased transmit antennas in terms of a reduced RF chains without performance degradation. Since a feedback channel is bandwidth-limited, we present a method of quantizing transmit-weight vectors. Simulation results demonstrate advantage of the proposed systems with full and quantized feedback information. Quantized feedback has less effect on the proposed systems than CLTD systems.展开更多

A TGF2023-02 GaN HEMT chip from Tri Quint is adopted and modeled. A novel negative feedback structure is applied in the circuit. The measured results show that the amplifier module has a wide range frequency response that is almost consistent with those of simulation at frequencies from 3 to 6.5 GHz. The measured power gain is greater than 7 dB between 3 and 6.5 GHz.The saturated output power is 38.5 dBm under DC bias of Vds =D28 V, Vgs D =-3:5 V at the frequency of 5.5 GHz.展开更多

The open-loop system analysis indicates that, in order to avoid the appearance of harmonic peaks, the frequency difference δf between drive mode and sense mode must be less than 1/(2Qy). In order to eliminate the effects of the quadrature error and the offset error, as well as the inherent non- linearity in the capacitance-type sensors, a closed-loop feedback control circuit with quadrature correction is designed. The experimental results indicate that the quadrature error and offset error are corrected. By comparing with open-loop detection, the closed-loop feedback control circuit with quadrature correction decreases the non-linearity of the scale factor from 16. 02% to 0. 35 %, widens the maximum rate capability from ± 270 (°)/s to ± 370 (°)/s and increases the stability of zero bias from 155. 2 (°)/h to 60. 6 (°)/h.展开更多

The results show that blocking formation...In this study, the temporal structure of the variation of North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO) and its impact on regional climate variability are analyzed using various datasets. The results show that blocking formations in the Atlantic region are sensitive to the phase of the NAO. Sixty-seven percent more winter blocking days are observed during the negative phase compared to the positive phase of the NAO. The average length of blocking during the negative phase is about 11 days, which is nearly twice as long as the 6-day length observed during the positive phase of the NAO. The NAO-related differences in blocking frequency and persistence are associated with changes in the distribution of the surface air temperature anomaly, which, to a large extent, is determined by the phase of the NAO. The distribution of regional cloud amount is also sensitive to the phase of the NAO. For the negative phase, the cloud amounts are significant, positive anomalies in the convective zone in the Tropics and much less cloudiness in the mid latitudes. But for the positive phase of the NAO, the cloud amount is much higher in the mid-latitude storm track region. In the whole Atlantic region, the cloud amount shows a decrease with the increase of surface air temperature. These results suggest that there may be a negative feedback between the cloud amount and the surface air t.emperature in the Atlantic region.展开更多

Conventional...The bias drift of a micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) accelerometer suffers from the l/f noise and the tem- perature effect. For massive applications, the bias drift urgently needs to be improved. Conventional methods often cannot ad- dress the l/f noise and temperature effect in one architecture. In this paper, a combined approach on closed-loop architecture modification is proposed to minimize the bias drift. The modulated feedback approach is used to isolate the l/f noise that exists in the conventional direct feedback approach. Then a common mode signal is created and added into the closed loop on the basis of modulated feedback architecture, to compensate for the temperature drift. With the combined approach, the bias instability is improved to less than 13 μg, and the drift of the Allan variance result is reduced to 17 μg at 100 s of the integration time. The temperature coefficient is reduced from 4.68 to 0.1 mg/℃. The combined approach could be useful for many other closed-loop accelerometers.展开更多

Recently, Bassler et al. studied the phenomena of QS regulated by small RNAs and the experimental data showed that smafl RNAs played important role in the QS of Vibrio harveyi and it can permit the fine-tuning of gene regulation and mmntenance of homeostasis. According to Michaelis-Menten kinetics and mass action law in this paper, we construct a mathematical model to investigate the mechanism induced QS by coexist of small RNA and signal molecular (AI) and show that there are periodic oscillation when the time delay and Hill coefficient exceed a critical value and the periodic oscillation produces the change of concentration and induces QS. These results are fit to the experimental results. In the meanwhile, we also get some theoretical value of Hopf Bifurcation on time deday. In addition, we also find this network is robust against noise.展开更多
A 12-Gbit/s low-power,wide-bandwidh CMOS(complementary metal oxide semiconductor)dual negative feedback feed-forward common gate(DNFFCG)differential trans-impedance amplifier(TIA)is presented for the veryshort-reach(V...A 12-Gbit/s low-power,wide-bandwidh CMOS(complementary metal oxide semiconductor)dual negative feedback feed-forward common gate(DNFFCG)differential trans-impedance amplifier(TIA)is presented for the veryshort-reach(VSR)optoelectronic integrated circuit(OEIC)receiver.The dominant pole of the input node is shifted up to a high frequency,and thus the bandwidth of the CMOS DNFFCG TIA is improved.Besides,two negative feedback loops are used to reduce the input impedance and further increase the bandwidth.The proposed TIA was fabricated using TSMC 0.18 jxm CMOS technology.The whole circuit has a compact chip area,the core area of which is only 0.003 6 mm2.The power consumption is 14.6 mW excluding 2-stage differential buffers.The test results indicate that the 3 dB bandwidth of 9 GHz is achieved with a 1 8 V supply voltage and its trans-impedance gain is 49.2 dBH.The measured average equivalent input noise current density is 28.1 pA H z12.Under the same process conditions,the DNFFCG has better gain bandwidth product compared with those in the published papers.展开更多

The ...AIM: To investigate executive function in Japanese adolescents and adults with autism spectrum disorders(ASD) compared to Japanese controls.METHODS: Thirty-three individuals with ASD and 33 controls participated. The ASD and control groups' demographic variables were matched for gender(male/female: 20/13 vs 20/13), age(26.1 ± 11.5 vs 26.8 ± 9.6), years of education(13.2 ± 2.9 vs 14.2 ± 1.9), full-scale intelligence quotient(IQ)(103.0 ± 16.7 vs 103.7 ± 14.7), performance IQ(96.2 ± 16.1 vs 97.8 ± 15.0), and verbal IQ(107.9 ± 16.3 vs 107.7 ± 14.4). Participants performed the Wisconsin Card Sorting Test(WCST), which assesses the executive processes involved in problem solving and cognitive flexibility, and the Continuous Performance Test(CPT), which assesses attention and impulsivity. Symptoms were assessed by the Autism-Spectrum Quotient Japanese version(AQ-J). First, we compared the scores of the WCST between the groups using a Mann-Whitney U-test and conducted an analysis of covariance for the variables with the scores of category archives and CPT scores as covariates. Second, we analyzed the correlation between the scores of the WCST and the AQ-J in the ASD group using Pearson's r.RESULTS: The total errors(TE) and the percentages of perseverative errors of the Milner type(%PEM) and Nelson type(%PEN) among the TE in the ASD group were significantly worse compared with the control group(ASD vs Control, respectively: TE: 16.0 ± 6.2 vs 12.6 ± 3.5, P = 0.012; %PEM: 11.7 ± 10.7 vs 6.6 ± 8.9, P = 0.037; %PEN: 20.1 ± 14.5 vs 8.7 ± 10.4, P = 0.0011). In contrast, no significant difference was observed between the two groups in the scores of categories achieved on the WCST or the CPT. An analysis of covariance revealed significant differences between the groups in the %PEN scores(P = 0.0062) but not in the TE or the %PEM scores. These results suggest that Japanese adolescents and adults with ASD have cognitive inflexibility. Furthermore, our results suggest that Japanese adolescents and adults with ASD may have difficulties using negative feedback because perseverative errors of the Nelson type indicate persistence in choosing the incorrect reaction. By contrast, there was no significant correlation between the WCST and AQ-J scores.CONCLUSION: We confirmed the presence of cognitive inflexibility in Japanese adolescents and adults with ASD. Our results also indicated that subjects with ASD may not use negative feedback effectively.展开更多

文摘Plants exhibit an astonishing ability to regulate organ regeneration upon wounding.Excision of leaf explants promotes the biosynthesis of indole-3-acetic acid(IAA),which is polar-transported to excised regions,where cell fate transition leads to root founder cell specification to induce de novo root regeneration.The regeneration capacity of plants has been utilized to develop in vitro tissue culture technologies.Here,we report that IAA accumulation near the wounded site of leaf explants is essential for callus formation on 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid(2,4-D)-rich callus-inducing medium(CIM).Notably,a high concentration of 2,4-D does not compensate for the action of IAA because of its limited efflux;rather,it lowers IAA biosynthesis via a negative feedback mechanism at an early stage of in vitro tissue culture,delaying callus initiation.The auxin negative feedback loop in CIM-cultured leaf explants is mediated by an auxin-inducible APETALA2 transcription factor,ENHANCER OF SHOOT REGENERATION 2(ESR2),along with its interacting partner HISTONE DEACETYLASE 6(HDA6).The ESR2–HDA6 complex binds directly to,and removes the H3ac mark from,the YUCCA1(YUC1),YUC7,and YUC9 loci,consequently repressing auxin biosynthesis and inhibiting cell fate transition on 2,4-D-rich CIM.These findings indicate that negative feedback regulation of auxin biosynthesis by ESR2 and HDA6 interferes with proper cell fate transition and callus initiation.
文摘As the competition from companies in low cost countries increases,the need for more automated production which reduces labour cost while improving product quality is required.A new rotary compression bending set-up with automated closed-loop feedback control is thus being developed.By transferring in-process measurement data into an algorithm for predicting springback and bend angle prior to the unloading sequence,the dimensional accuracy is improved.This work focuses on the development of this steering model.Since the method used does not increase cycle time,it is attractive for high-volume industrial applications.More than 150 bending tests of AA6060 extrusions were conducted to determine the capability of the technology.The results show that by activating the automated closed-loop feedback system,the dimensional accuracy of the bent parts is more than three times better than that obtained by traditional compression bending.Since the steering model permits the direct use of additional process data,such as instant wall thickness and cross sectional distortions,it is believed that extension of the measurement capabilities would improve the accuracy of the methodology even further.

文摘The paper investigates closed-loop transmit diversity (CLTD) systems with antenna selection technique. The expected received signal-noise-ratio (RxSNR) of the proposed systems is analyzed and compared with CLTD systems. An algorithm is proposed for determining the number of increased transmit antennas in terms of a reduced RF chains without performance degradation. Since a feedback channel is bandwidth-limited, we present a method of quantizing transmit-weight vectors. Simulation results demonstrate advantage of the proposed systems with full and quantized feedback information. Quantized feedback has less effect on the proposed systems than CLTD systems.
文摘Over the past three decades, neurophysiologists studying the neural circuitry responsible for control of skeletal muscles have developed several different general theories of sensorimotor control. These have usually invoked one or more of the sources of proprioceptive signals (e.g. muscle spindle and Golgi tendon organ afferents) in positive or negative feed-back loops to the homonymous alpha motoneurones. In this paper we consider to analyze the role of posi-tive feedback in combination of negative feedback due to important role of them in stabilizing the neu-romuscular system.

文摘The design and fabrication of an ultra-broadband power amplifier based on a GaN HEMT, which operates in the frequency range from 3 to 8 GHz, is presented in this paper. A TGF2023-02 GaN HEMT chip from Tri Quint is adopted and modeled. A novel negative feedback structure is applied in the circuit. The measured results show that the amplifier module has a wide range frequency response that is almost consistent with those of simulation at frequencies from 3 to 6.5 GHz. The measured power gain is greater than 7 dB between 3 and 6.5 GHz.The saturated output power is 38.5 dBm under DC bias of Vds =D28 V, Vgs D =-3:5 V at the frequency of 5.5 GHz.
文摘The reasons for inducing quadrature error and offset error are analyzed and the expressions of quadrature error and offset error are induced. The open-loop system analysis indicates that, in order to avoid the appearance of harmonic peaks, the frequency difference δf between drive mode and sense mode must be less than 1/(2Qy). In order to eliminate the effects of the quadrature error and the offset error, as well as the inherent non- linearity in the capacitance-type sensors, a closed-loop feedback control circuit with quadrature correction is designed. The experimental results indicate that the quadrature error and offset error are corrected. By comparing with open-loop detection, the closed-loop feedback control circuit with quadrature correction decreases the non-linearity of the scale factor from 16. 02% to 0. 35 %, widens the maximum rate capability from ± 270 (°)/s to ± 370 (°)/s and increases the stability of zero bias from 155. 2 (°)/h to 60. 6 (°)/h.

文摘Transistors are nonlinear devices, which can produce nonlinear distortion in amplifier while amplifying signals. For weak nonlinear distortion, the expressions of total harmonic distortion (THD), the second order intermodulation distortion(IM2 ), the third order intermodulation distortion(IM 3) and intercept point(IP 3) are deduced. With the aid of software Multisim, we simulate transistor common emitter amplifier, transistor common emitter amplifier with resistor in emitter, differential amplifier and differential amplifier with resistor between emitters. The simulational results and theoretical analyses are almost the same.
文摘In this study, the temporal structure of the variation of North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO) and its impact on regional climate variability are analyzed using various datasets. The results show that blocking formations in the Atlantic region are sensitive to the phase of the NAO. Sixty-seven percent more winter blocking days are observed during the negative phase compared to the positive phase of the NAO. The average length of blocking during the negative phase is about 11 days, which is nearly twice as long as the 6-day length observed during the positive phase of the NAO. The NAO-related differences in blocking frequency and persistence are associated with changes in the distribution of the surface air temperature anomaly, which, to a large extent, is determined by the phase of the NAO. The distribution of regional cloud amount is also sensitive to the phase of the NAO. For the negative phase, the cloud amounts are significant, positive anomalies in the convective zone in the Tropics and much less cloudiness in the mid latitudes. But for the positive phase of the NAO, the cloud amount is much higher in the mid-latitude storm track region. In the whole Atlantic region, the cloud amount shows a decrease with the increase of surface air temperature. These results suggest that there may be a negative feedback between the cloud amount and the surface air t.emperature in the Atlantic region.
文摘The bias drift of a micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) accelerometer suffers from the l/f noise and the tem- perature effect. For massive applications, the bias drift urgently needs to be improved. Conventional methods often cannot ad- dress the l/f noise and temperature effect in one architecture. In this paper, a combined approach on closed-loop architecture modification is proposed to minimize the bias drift. The modulated feedback approach is used to isolate the l/f noise that exists in the conventional direct feedback approach. Then a common mode signal is created and added into the closed loop on the basis of modulated feedback architecture, to compensate for the temperature drift. With the combined approach, the bias instability is improved to less than 13 μg, and the drift of the Allan variance result is reduced to 17 μg at 100 s of the integration time. The temperature coefficient is reduced from 4.68 to 0.1 mg/℃. The combined approach could be useful for many other closed-loop accelerometers.

文摘Bacterial quorum sensing (QS) has attracted much interests and it is an important process of cell communication. Recently, Bassler et al. studied the phenomena of QS regulated by small RNAs and the experimental data showed that smafl RNAs played important role in the QS of Vibrio harveyi and it can permit the fine-tuning of gene regulation and mmntenance of homeostasis. According to Michaelis-Menten kinetics and mass action law in this paper, we construct a mathematical model to investigate the mechanism induced QS by coexist of small RNA and signal molecular (AI) and show that there are periodic oscillation when the time delay and Hill coefficient exceed a critical value and the periodic oscillation produces the change of concentration and induces QS. These results are fit to the experimental results. In the meanwhile, we also get some theoretical value of Hopf Bifurcation on time deday. In addition, we also find this network is robust against noise.

文摘A 12-Gbit/s low-power,wide-bandwidh CMOS(complementary metal oxide semiconductor)dual negative feedback feed-forward common gate(DNFFCG)differential trans-impedance amplifier(TIA)is presented for the veryshort-reach(VSR)optoelectronic integrated circuit(OEIC)receiver.The dominant pole of the input node is shifted up to a high frequency,and thus the bandwidth of the CMOS DNFFCG TIA is improved.Besides,two negative feedback loops are used to reduce the input impedance and further increase the bandwidth.The proposed TIA was fabricated using TSMC 0.18 jxm CMOS technology.The whole circuit has a compact chip area,the core area of which is only 0.003 6 mm2.The power consumption is 14.6 mW excluding 2-stage differential buffers.The test results indicate that the 3 dB bandwidth of 9 GHz is achieved with a 1 8 V supply voltage and its trans-impedance gain is 49.2 dBH.The measured average equivalent input noise current density is 28.1 pA H z12.Under the same process conditions,the DNFFCG has better gain bandwidth product compared with those in the published papers.

文摘AIM: To investigate executive function in Japanese adolescents and adults with autism spectrum disorders(ASD) compared to Japanese controls.METHODS: Thirty-three individuals with ASD and 33 controls participated. The ASD and control groups' demographic variables were matched for gender(male/female: 20/13 vs 20/13), age(26.1 ± 11.5 vs 26.8 ± 9.6), years of education(13.2 ± 2.9 vs 14.2 ± 1.9), full-scale intelligence quotient(IQ)(103.0 ± 16.7 vs 103.7 ± 14.7), performance IQ(96.2 ± 16.1 vs 97.8 ± 15.0), and verbal IQ(107.9 ± 16.3 vs 107.7 ± 14.4). Participants performed the Wisconsin Card Sorting Test(WCST), which assesses the executive processes involved in problem solving and cognitive flexibility, and the Continuous Performance Test(CPT), which assesses attention and impulsivity. Symptoms were assessed by the Autism-Spectrum Quotient Japanese version(AQ-J). First, we compared the scores of the WCST between the groups using a Mann-Whitney U-test and conducted an analysis of covariance for the variables with the scores of category archives and CPT scores as covariates. Second, we analyzed the correlation between the scores of the WCST and the AQ-J in the ASD group using Pearson's r.RESULTS: The total errors(TE) and the percentages of perseverative errors of the Milner type(%PEM) and Nelson type(%PEN) among the TE in the ASD group were significantly worse compared with the control group(ASD vs Control, respectively: TE: 16.0 ± 6.2 vs 12.6 ± 3.5, P = 0.012; %PEM: 11.7 ± 10.7 vs 6.6 ± 8.9, P = 0.037; %PEN: 20.1 ± 14.5 vs 8.7 ± 10.4, P = 0.0011). In contrast, no significant difference was observed between the two groups in the scores of categories achieved on the WCST or the CPT. An analysis of covariance revealed significant differences between the groups in the %PEN scores(P = 0.0062) but not in the TE or the %PEM scores. These results suggest that Japanese adolescents and adults with ASD have cognitive inflexibility. Furthermore, our results suggest that Japanese adolescents and adults with ASD may have difficulties using negative feedback because perseverative errors of the Nelson type indicate persistence in choosing the incorrect reaction. By contrast, there was no significant correlation between the WCST and AQ-J scores.CONCLUSION: We confirmed the presence of cognitive inflexibility in Japanese adolescents and adults with ASD. Our results also indicated that subjects with ASD may not use negative feedback effectively.
