By using cluster analysis, this paper conducts the regional evaluation of Tibet's agricultural sustainability. The results show that 7 cities' regional difference of agricultural sustainability was obvious in 2013,the agricultural sustainability index value was 0. 4232- 0. 6937,and the value was in the order of Nyingchi > Lhasa > Shannan > Ali > Shigatse > Qamdo > Nagqu. According to the agricultural sustainable development level,Tibet can be divided into three regions: the first type is the area with the highest level of sustainable development of agriculture, including Nyingchi and Lhasa; the second type is the area with the average level of sustainable development of agriculture, including Shigatse and Shannan; the third type is the area with the low level of sustainable development of agriculture, including Qamdo,Ali and Nagqu.展开更多

This article chose the export sustainable development as the research object. On the basis of the analysis of the theoretical connotation of the export sustainable development, this article tried to establish an evaluation indices system and set up an evaluation model of the export sustainable development level, and finally made some empirical research on China. The result indicates that the comprehensive level of the export sustainable development in China showed a tendency to rise from 1985 to 2003 and the export sustainable development level of China in these years can be divided into four grades: excellent, good, moderate and poor. In most years, the social economic benefits of export was obtained at the cost of the deterioration of environment and the depletion of resources, and the economic profit of export did not increase with the enlargement of the export scale because of the deterioration of the terms of trade. Therefore, China should be careful about the problem of poverty accompanied by the increase of export.展开更多

Essentially an integrated eco-industrial park, these clusters demonstrate applications of industrial ecology principles among the occupant units, besides promoting sustainable societies from economic, environmental and social perspectives. The holistic planning and development of these clusters from economic, environmental and social sustainability considerations or alternatively, the sustainability assessment of these clusters is highly complex. The research reported upon forms part of a larger study that aims to develop an integrated decision support system for sustainability assessment of inclusive smart innovation cluster. The paper discusses the conceptual model of the cluster and the need to establish context specific key indicators and influence factors from economic, environmental and social sustainability considerations. The paper proposes a structured methodology for development of key indicators and influence factors. The paper concludes by identifying a set of 184 key indicators and influence factors for comprehensive sustainability assessment of inclusive smart innovation cluster.展开更多

This paper seeks to contribute to the ongoing discussion on the role of clusters as engines of economic and social development and sustainability of local and regional territories. Based on a study research methodology, we intend to answer to the following research questions: (1) What is the importance of clusters in the increment process of the local and regional conditions of governance and sustainability? (2) How specific models of clusters' governance can contribute to greater territorial setting of enterprises and to increasing the sustainability of its development strategies? (3) To what extent industrial public policies can increase the sustainability of development solutions for local and regional economies?展开更多

This research examines the relationship between citizens’ knowledge, perceptions of air quality, attitudes towards policy measures, and intentions to adopt environmentally-friendly behaviors to combat air pollution. A comprehensive survey is conducted among a representative sample from seven regions in the Po basin area: Emilia-Romagna, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Lombardy, Piedmont, Province of Trento, Valle d’Aosta, and Veneto. The survey aims at profiling participants based on their level of information, perceptions of air pollution, and attitudes towards emission-reducing behaviors. Cluster analysis identifies meaningful differences among citizen groups in terms of their awareness and intentions to engage in specific behaviors. Four distinct clusters emerge, each characterized by varying levels of willingness to embrace pro-environmental behaviors and support air quality improvement initiatives. By examining these profiles, the study uncovers patterns in citizens’ awareness, concerns, and acceptance of environmentally-friendly practices. The findings offer valuable insights for policymakers to develop targeted interventions, policies, and communication strategies.展开更多
