Analyzing the transportation infrastructure-rural industry integration relationship in China

Transportation infrastructure is crucial to China’s economic growth because it substantially contributes to the holistic development of rural primary,secondary,and tertiary industries.This study innovatively examines transportation infrastructure and urbanization levels to explore,both theoretically and empirically,their relationship with the holistic development of primary,secondary,and tertiary industries in rural China,and the mediating role of urbanization on this relationship.We employed fixed-effects models,the entropy weight approach,mixed regression,and generalized method of moments to analyze the data of 30 provinces across China from 2013 to 2020.The results indicate that the construction of transportation infrastructure directly fosters the collective advancement of such industries in rural areas and that urbanization partially mediates the transportation infrastructure-rural industry integration relationship.However,the western region shows disparities in the integrated development of these sectors.Further analysis reveals that foreign investments amplify the positive influence of transportation infrastructure on rural industry integration.Essentially,the enhancement of rural transportation infrastructure,promotion of urbanization,implementation of strategic planning,and strengthening of support mechanisms are crucial aspects in the comprehensive development of rural industries and the achievement of rural revitalization in China.

Research on the Model of Urbanization Based on Rural Industrialization

After the 18th CPC National Congress,urbanization regained its importance.As villages become heterogeneously urbanized,rural industrialization is reiterated for town urbanization.Yet all the historically famous models for Zhujiang,Sunan and Wenzhou in the progress of rural industrialization encountered dilemmas.Is the modernization theory sound in dictating that latecomers cannot achieve urbanization through rural industrialization?The author discusses the origination of the industrialization and urbanization of Hebei villages which is considered to represent the vision of British industrial revolution.There are two implications:(1)Town urbanization requires rural industrialization as its base,which must not rely completely on external industries and being urbanized top-down,but rather on the development of internal economic and social forces;(2)Urbanization cannot evolve spontaneously on the basis of rural industrialization.Instead,it is the result of conscious common planning and construction pushed by multiple forces.Therefore,the government should,in accordance with the law of development,provide guidance that mitigates various issues in the process of development.

NEW RURAL SPACES: THE IMPACT OF RURAL INDUSTRIALIZATION ON RURAL-URBAN TRANSITION IN CHINA

Since the 1980s, rural-urban transition has been becoming one of the most important aspects in China’s fast transformation from traditional to modern modes. From the perspective of change of rural space, this paper examines the impact of rural industrialization on the rural-urban transition. After an introduction to the issue of rural-urban transition in rural-urban continuum, a historical overview of the transformations of China’s rural space in economic, social and geographical structure is presented. This is followed by an analysis of regiotal uneven development among provinces in rural industrialization and rural-urban transition. It is concluded that the fast industrialization of rural area has brought on many radical transformations of rural space in China, especially on the formation of new rural economic, social and geographical spaces and the uneven development of rural-urban trgnsition among the eastern, central and westem areas.

Study on the Strategy of Rural Industry Development in the Central China under the Background of Urban-Rural Integration

Taking the rural areas in the central China s the target,the representative achievements and difficulties faced by rural industries in the process of urban-rural integration were sorted out systematically in this article. In the new stage of development,it is necessary to adjust the development strategy,focus on tapping the rural characteristic industries,accelerate the upgrading of agricultural products,aim at market demand,and implement multi-channel marketing strategies to expand the influence of agricultural brands. The government must actively promote the integration of urban and rural industries and the development of division of labor,actively cultivate and develop rural characteristic industrial clusters,and encourage farmers to explore various types of rural industrial models.

Integrated Development of Urban and Rural Industries in the Xi'an Metropolitan Area

Based on the diagnosis of the industrial structure in the Xi'an metropolitan area,we point out the problems in the development of urban and rural industries in the Xi'an metropolitan area:there is imbalance in the industrial structure;the planning and layout is chaotic;the service system is unsound;the development of the county economy lags behind.From structural adjustment,urban-rural division of labor,technical support, and the coordination of interests,we put forward the measures for coordinating the development of urban and rural industries.

The Influence of the Urban-Rural Income Disparity on the Industrial Structure—Taking the Yangtze River Delta Region as an Example

In this paper, the effect of the mediation effect is mainly used to test and analyze the regression model, and most scholars have studied the impact of the modernization of the industrial structure on the income gap. However, this paper is from another perspective, based on the social background of high-quality development, the main study is the impact mechanism of urban and rural income gap on the industrial structure, taking the Yangtze River Delta as the main research object, and specifically selecting 22 central cities in the Yangtze River Delta region, which is also one of the highlights of this study. The regression model is constructed by using the intermediary effect, and the four intermediary variables of fiscal expenditure (M1), fixed asset investment (M2), number of patent applications (M3), and total import and export (M4) are selected, which represent the role of the government, fixed asset investment, scientific and technological level and opening-up level, and study and analyze the inherent influence mechanism between each variable. Before doing specific research, I consulted the papers and literature of many other outstanding scholars, among which Cheng Yuhong and Cheng Chi’s “The Influence Mechanism of industrial structure of urban and rural income gap” [1] has great reference value for this paper. According to the research results, under the background of high-quality development in the Yangtze River Delta region, the expansion of the income gap between urban and rural areas will inhibit the upgrading of the industrial structure, so it is necessary to focus on building a new type of urbanization, accelerating the construction of an urban innovation system, optimizing the rural employment structure to narrow the income gap between urban and rural areas, and providing impetus for the continuous upgrading of the industrial structure.

Path Choice on Rural Industrial Upgrading in the Process of Rural-urban Integration in Binhai New Area

With methods of reference research and field research, the current situations of rural industrialization in the process of rural-urban integration in Binhai new area are analyzed and some problems in the process of integration in the new area are pointed out, such as difficulties in breaking dual economic structure in urban and rural areas, imbalanced economic development in the area and inadequate development of the third industry. And relevant countermeasures are proposed: optimizing agriculture industrial structure and promoting agricultural industrialization to form urban agricultural model of Binhai new area focusing on facility agriculture, park agriculture and high-end agriculture and to realize the intensive growth of agriculture; rationally distributing rural industrial structure to form regional leading industry and playing the guiding role of industry to achieve industrial adjustment improvement; quickening the construction of the third industry centering on service to form the service system of modern countryside and the leading role of modern service industry so as to achieve rapid development of the third industry.

Empirical Study on Effects of Different Types of Urbanization on Consumption Structure of Rural Residents in China

In the process of urbanization,there are problems of decline in rural population,shrinkage of rural area,and constant increase in the per-capita net income of rural residents. These problems have brought about new characteristics and changes to the consumption structure of rural residents. This paper divided the urbanization into population urbanization,industrial urbanization and land urbanization. Using the panel data of 31 provinces in 2004-2013,it established the dynamic panel model and analyzed the effects of different types of urbanization on the consumption structure of rural residents. Results indicated that population urbanization exerts a negative effect on development-oriented consumption expenditure of rural residents,while it exerts a positive effect on enjoyment consumption expenditure; the industrial urbanization exerts a negative effect on the consumption expenditure of rural residents,while it exerts a positive effect on clothing and transportation communication consumption of rural residents; land urbanization exerts a negative effect on medical care expenditure in enjoyment consumption of rural residents. In view of these problems,it came up with recommendations,including stimulating the development of rural consumer market,liberating the consumption potentiality of rural areas,making clear emphasis points of different types of urbanization,avoiding promoting the urbanization in a blind manner,and adjusting the development of different types of urbanization on the basis of the consumption demands of rural residents.

Administrative reforms and the impacts on rural-urban relations in China

New and distinctive regions of economic interaction and growth, known as Extended Metropolitan Regions (EMRs), are emerging in China. This paper will examine the role of the various levels of the Chinese governments and their administrative reforms in the development of one of the urbanising regions in China: the Shenyang Dalian EMR, Liaoning Province. It is primarily concerned with to what extent EMR's spatial growth pattern is influenced by governmental policies and how the changes in administrative boundaries have impacted rural urban relations.

以现代化产业体系建设赋能城乡融合发展:逻辑、堵点与进路

作为现代化国家的重要物质技术基础,现代化产业体系建设能够在推动城乡融合发展中发挥积极作用。在理论逻辑上,现代化产业体系建设通过加速传统农业转型升级、引领城乡产业融合发展、畅通城乡要素双向流动、推动实现农村现代化等路径赋能城乡融合发展。针对要素双向流动受阻、乡村空间利用低效、现代农业发展困难、县域支撑不足等现实堵点,应当以破除城乡要素流动的体制障碍、推动现代化乡村空间治理体系建设、加大现代农业发展的要素投入保障、强化现代化产业体系建设县域支撑等为实践进路,推动现代化产业体系建设更好赋能城乡产业融合发展。

工业机器人应用会加剧中国城乡收入差距吗?

基于IFR数据库中国工业机器人数据,在科学测度2007—2019年中国31个省级区域工业机器人渗透度及城乡收入差距的基础上,细致刻画工业机器人应用对城乡收入差距的作用机制。研究发现:工业机器人应用显著加剧了中国城乡收入差距,因而有效处理机器人应用的收入分配效应能为高质量增长和共同富裕战略的协同共进提供重要支撑;工业机器人应用会通过提升就业技术结构高级化水平和资本利润率两个渠道,加剧中国城乡居民收入差距,且工业机器人应用在高劳动收入份额区域内引致的城乡收入差距效应较为显著;工业机器人应用有利于激发产业结构服务化及合理化的演进动力,并对制造业与生产性服务业协同集聚具有催化剂作用。为此,中国政府应及时和准确地预判工业机器人应用对中国目前及未来较长一段时间内经济与社会发展的动态影响,并在享受人工智能时代红利的同时,平抑其对城乡收入差距造成的负面冲击。

产业转型升级、城乡收入差距与居民消费

居民消费是畅通国内大循环的关键环节和重要引擎,产业转型升级优化了消费供给。本文实证分析了产业转型升级对居民消费的直接影响,以及通过城乡收入差距所产生的间接影响。研究发现,经济高质量发展期间,产业转型升级显著促进居民消费;城乡收入差距在产业转型升级和居民消费间的中介效应显著,产业转型升级会通过缩小城乡收入差距间接促进居民消费;产业转型升级对居民消费的影响以及城乡收入差距的中介效应均存在区域异质性,西部地区的直接影响和中介影响均强于中部和东部地区。因此,应该通过供给侧为居民提供丰富、高质量的商品,满足人民日益增长的消费需求;通过产业转型升级带动就业,提高劳动力收入,缩小城乡收入差距,同时积极防范部分地区在实施产业转型升级政策时出现扩大城乡收入差距等问题。

产业智能化的城乡收入差距效应及减小路径研究

随着新一轮科技革命浪潮的推进,产业智能化发展对城乡收入差距的影响越发显著,如何应对这种挑战以实现共同富裕是一个很重要的问题。本文从产业智能化的资本偏向性和技能偏向性角度论证了产业智能化对城乡收入差距的扩大作用,并从理论上探索了减小产业智能化对城乡收入差距影响的路径。在实证上,本文采用D-K标准误的固定效应模型进行分析,结果表明现阶段产业智能化显著地扩大了城乡收入差距;通过机制分析验证了产业智能化主要通过功能性收入分配效应和规模性收入分配效应来影响城乡收入差距;调节效应分析证明了优化产业结构和缩小城乡人力资本差距能缓解产业智能化对城乡收入差距的影响。

城乡融合进程中的乡村半工业化与县域经济发展方向

半市场中心地带依靠距离市场中心近、用地成本低和半劳动力资源充足的优势,优先具备了承接东部发达地区产业转移的条件,呈现出乡村半工业化发展路径。乡村半工业化不同于东部发达地区成熟的完全工业化路径,在厂房布局、用工安排和企业管理等方面表现出乡土嵌入性特点,满足了本地剩余劳动力就近务工需求。乡村半工业化发展嵌入到乡村社会发展秩序中,与农民家庭生计模式、家庭发展目标相契合。工业园区化建设一定程度上挤压了嵌入在地方社会中的乡村工业发展,造成了工农互斥和城乡分离。县域经济应根据客观条件,维护内生于县域空间的中小规模半工业化产业,走以农民为主体的产业化和县域城镇化良性互动的发展道路。

数字经济发展对城乡收入差距的影响研究

文章采用主成分分析法测度了2004-2019年全国29个省份的数字经济发展水平,通过固定效应模型、中介效应模型和面板门槛模型从流通业视角实证分析了数字经济与城乡收入差距之间的关系及其作用机制。结果发现,数字经济发展对我国城乡收入差距具有显著正向影响,数字经济能够通过促进流通业发展拉近城乡收入差距,且流通业发展水平越高,数字经济拉近城乡收入差距的作用越强。

农业农村数字经济对城乡共同富裕的影响研究——基于电子商务进农村综合示范县准自然实验的证据

以2010—2022年中国2843个县域面板数据作为样本,借助多时点双重差分模型与调节效应模型,实证检验农业农村数字经济对城乡共同富裕的直接效应与作用机制。结果显示,农业农村数字经济对城乡共同富裕产生正向推动作用,该结论经过多种形式稳健性检验与考虑内生性问题后依旧成立。中介效应结果表明,农业农村数字经济可通过提升区域创新能力与促进农村产业融合,间接赋能城乡共同富裕。调节效应结果表明,普惠金融可正向放大农业农村数字经济对城乡共同富裕的推动作用。异质性结果显示,相较于贫困县、粮食主产区,农业农村数字经济对非贫困县地区、非粮食主产区城乡共同富裕的推动作用较强。

数字技术赋能城乡产业协调发展的内在机制与实现路径

数字技术的发展与普及应用推动生产要素在中国城乡的双向流动,进而推进城乡产业协调发展,但目前针对数字技术对城乡产业协调发展影响作用的实证研究不足。因此,借助省级面板数据,深入探究数字技术对中国城乡产业协调发展的总体影响和区域异质性及其作用机制,为进一步深化该主题研究,为利用数字技术推进城乡产业融合升级、实现城乡协调发展提供理论参考。以数字技术为切入点,从理论分析数字技术影响城乡产业协调发展的内在机制,基于2011—2021年中国30个省份面板数据,建立数字化综合评价指标体系,运用熵值法测算各省份数字化水平,运用耦合协调模型计算各省份城乡产业协调度,并就数字技术如何影响城乡产业协调发展进行实证分析。结果表明:数字技术对推进城乡产业协调发展具有显著正向影响;数字技术在不同空间地理位置对城乡产业协调发展存在异质性影响;县域经济在数字技术助推城乡产业协调发展过程中发挥部分中介效应;在不同经济发展水平下,数字技术对城乡产业协调发展的影响作用呈现非线性特征,当地区经济发展水平达到一定程度,数字技术才能对城乡产业协调发展产生显著正向推动作用,其门槛值为10.379。基于此,进一步从完善乡村数字基础设施建设、完善统筹规划和完善数字素养培育体系三方面提出具体对策建议。

服务业高质量发展对城乡收入差距的影响与机制

服务业高质量发展有助于农村劳动力就业、扩大农民收入来源。促进现代服务业高质量发展是缩减城乡收入差距、推进共同富裕的重要路径。基于1997—2021年我国30个省份(未含香港地区、澳门地区、台湾地区、西藏地区)数据,使用合成控制法、双重差分模型和三重差分模型分析服务业高质量发展对城乡收入差距的影响及其机制。研究发现,服务业高质量发展有助于缩减城乡收入差距,且这种缩减作用在北京、上海最强,在江苏、天津、浙江次之,在广东最弱;服务业高质量发展对东部、中部和西部地区城乡收入差距的缩减作用均显著,但在中部地区最强,在东部和西部地区较弱;绿色发展和区域协调发展在服务业高质量发展对城乡收入差距的影响中发挥正向调节作用,服务业高质量发展对城乡收入差距的缩减作用在绿色发展水平较高、区域协调发展水平较高的省份更强;服务业高质量发展能够通过产业结构升级(包括产业结构高级化、产业结构合理化)缩减城乡收入差距。为进一步发挥服务业高质量发展对城乡收入差距的缩减作用,应持续加强服务创新,推动服务业高质量发展;发挥区域比较优势,推动区域协调发展;引导绿色消费和生产,提升绿色发展水平;推动现代服务业和新兴产业发展,促进产业结构升级。

数字普惠金融赋能城乡融合——基于产业和城乡协同发展视角

数字普惠金融为破除城乡金融体系二元对立、优化城乡资源配置、助推城乡融合开辟了新路径。本文基于2011-2021年中国地级市面板数据,从产业和城乡协同发展视角分析数字普惠金融赋能城乡融合的作用渠道。研究发现,数字普惠金融有效促进了城乡融合发展。从各维度来看,覆盖广度与使用深度是促进城乡融合的关键,信贷和保险业务发挥了显著的协同效应,数字普惠金融的城乡融合效应在空间和社会维度上显著;在东部、中部地区和农村资金外流程度较轻的地区,数字普惠金融赋能城乡融合的作用更强;数字普惠金融能够促进生产要素在产业和城乡间流动,发挥劳动力转移和产业结构升级的带动作用,间接赋能城乡融合。

数字经济赋能乡村振兴:作用机理、现实制约与实现路径

随着数字技术的加速创新与应用,乡村数字经济的新业态不断涌现,成为助力乡村振兴的动力引擎。乡村振兴建设应将数字经济与乡村产业生产、大众生活及政务治理等多领域进行深度融合,通过数字经济赋能实现乡村绿色跨越式发展、均衡共享式发展、开放包容式发展。针对数字经济在赋能乡村振兴中遇到的如数字经济在农村环境下认同感缺失、数字化治理机制不健全及基层治理制度脱节等问题,提出采取依托数字化工作平台提升农民数字素养、建设现代化农村数字化治理体系、强化制度建设、推动乡村产业数字化转型、推动乡村基本公共服务数字化转型等七项举措,以更好地让数字技术为乡村振兴赋能,稳步推进数字信息技术与乡村经济深度融合发展。
