Methods: Prospective and descriptive retrospective study concerning obstetrical evacuations received at the maternity ward of the Hospital of the Institute of Social Hygiene in Dakar between January 1 and December 31, 2020, i.e. a period of 12 months. Results: During the study period, we collected 1156 evacuees out of a total of 3507 patients treated in the Service, i.e. a frequency of 33%. The average age of the patients was 27.07 years with extremes of 14 and 46 years. Patients aged between 20 and 29 were the most represented (51.73%). The average parity was 1.6 with extremes of 0 and 10 pares. The nulliparous (46.37%) were the majority. The majority of evacuated patients (99.6%) resided in the Dakar region, including 58% in the suburbs and 42% in the city center. The patients received had performed an average of 3 prenatal consultations with extremes ranging from 0 to 9 CPN. They most often came from health centers (55.05%) or hospitals (29.09%). The reasons for evacuations were dominated by dystocia (21.54%) followed by premature rupture of membranes (17.21%) and premature deliveries (16.35%). On admission, only 176 patients (15.2%) had an evacuation sheet. Patients transited on average through two health structures (extremes ranging from 0 to 7 structures) before reaching the reception structure. The evacuation was most often done with a private vehicle on the patient’s own means (91.96%). The outcome of the evacuees was most often vaginal delivery or hospitalization (72.79%). The majority of patients (99.4%) had evolved favorably but we deplore one maternal death (0.09%) linked to a late puerperal infection. We recorded 74 perinatal deaths and 1041 live births, i.e. a stillbirth rate of 71.1‰ live births. The causes of death were dominated by prematurity (24.7%). Conclusion: Obstetrical evacuations are frequent in our practice but they should be better organized to improve the maternal-fetal prognosis.展开更多

E-skills could be described as electronic education development, to assist ICT professionals to reach their future career goals and aim to help users boost their ICT skills. In a society that is expanding, it is also a crucial issue to take into account. Researchers have turned their attention to this topic because of its significance and contribution to the empowerment of graduates in digital education. Many scholars have proposed many methods for integrating e-skills into society with impressive results, but the rising rate of graduate unemployment in South Africa is gradually becoming a big worry in our society. A model based on Activity Theory (AT) and e-skills will be developed in our tertiary institution to equip graduates with skills that will increase their employability and provide more individualized work opportunities as part of this study’s effort to solve this issue. With the use of the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) and Cronbach’s Alpha for validity and reliability testing, the study will create an experimental performance to assess the approach taken to measure e-skills in tertiary institutions to empower graduates in South Africa. The study established that system development and e-skilled models for tertiary institutions are growing gradually, especially in South African institutions, that empower graduates with profitable employability with experiences to improve work operation in the industries. In conclusion, system development and e-skills are very demanding but important to empower graduate employability to determine competency in the professional workforce.展开更多

文摘Medical institution data compliance is an exogenous product of the digital society, serving as a crucial means to maintain and balance the relationship between data protection and data sharing,as well as individual interests and public interests. The implementation of the Healthy China Initiative greatly benefits from its practical significance. In practice, data from medical institutions takes varied forms, including personally identifiable data collected before diagnosis and treatment, clinical medical data generated during diagnosis and treatment, medical data collected in public health management, and potential medical data generated in daily life.In the new journey of comprehensively promoting the Chinese path to modernization,it is necessary to clarify the shift from an individual-oriented to a societal-oriented value system, highlighting the reinforcing role of the trust concept.Guided by the principle of minimizing data utilization, the focus is on the new developments and changes in medical institution data in the postpandemic era. This involves a series of measures such as fulfilling the obligation of notification and consent, specifying the scope of data collection and usage, strengthening the standardized use of relevant technical measures, and establishing a sound legal responsibility system for data compliance.Through these measures,a flexible and efficient medical institution data compliance system can be constructed.
文摘The present study was conducted in four districts of Telangana State of India with 120 respondents in which 60 were members and other 60 were non-members of DCSs (Dairy Co-operative Societies)/MPIs (Milk Producer Institutions). Constraints perceived in dairy farming and suggestions elicited by members and non-members were noted, tabulated and analyzed. The major constraints perceived by half or more than half of members were scarcity of water (91.67%), lack of green fodder (88.33%), preferring NS (natural service) than AI (Artificial Insemination) (83.33%), negligence in feeding pregnant and dry animals (81.37%), insufficient loan amount (78.33%), tendency to feed only grass and brans (71.67%), lack of availability of sufficient labour (70.00%), lack of remunerative price for milk (66.67%), high cost of feed (61.67%), lack of fodder conservation (55.00%) and high cost of animals (50.00%). Whereas major constraints perceived by non-members were scarcity of water (96.67%), lack of green fodder (93.33%), preferring NS than AI (88.33%), lack of availability of sufficient labour (85.00%), negligence in feeding pregnant and dry animals (83.33%), tendency to feed only grass and brans (78.33%), high cost of animals (75.00%), complex procedure for obtaining loans (71.67%) and high cost of feed (66.67%). Suggestions elicited by members majorly were providing subsidy for purchase of animals/providing loans on par with the cost of animal (81.67%), enhancing the procurement price (70.00%), providing more incentives (60.00%), encouraging calf rearing (58.33%) and conducting frequent animal health camps (50.00%). In case of non-members major suggestions elicited were conducting frequent animal health camps (68.33%) and providing subsidy on purchase of animals/providing loans on par with the cost of animal (58.33%). Considering the above constraints perceived and suggestions elicited by dairy farmers a proper linkage strategy should be developed among private and public sectors in providing need based services to the dairy farmers.
文摘The Coastal Zone Management Act was finally promulgated in 2015,while Ministry of the Interior was asked to draft a coastal management act in 1991 by Executive Yuan.It was until the government’s lifting of martial law in 1987,vigorous activities started prevailing on coastal areas. And relevant legal documents were on sea reclamation for development in the 1980’s by Council of Agriculture. The approval of“Taiwan Coastal Area Natural Environment Protection Plan”showed an era of environmental protection in 1980s.However,it was surely not market driven, similar to land development, but some efforts by the administration systems.Through all the years, the efforts were put on drafting plans and these efforts were not quite sounding. The coastal disasters and further climate change caught the attention of relevant NGOs,scholars, politicians, and the society. At the critical juncture the government was made to react to outside demands. And then the Coastal Zone Management Act was passed by Legislative Yuan, establishing an integrated coastal management system in Taiwan. As such,it is proposed to look into this long process of the attempt with the concept of institutional change in order to understand this coastal environmental preservation and protection issue in a broader scope.
文摘In recent years, the rapid advancement of emerging technologies such as big data, blockchain, and artificial intelligence has accelerated the transformation of currencies, shifting from materialization towards digitization and electronization. The e-CNY stands out as a prime example of China’s pioneering digital financial innovation globally.Governed by the central bank,it embodies the national agenda. As the e-CNY’s application field and reach expand, its relationship with the financial market grows increasingly intimate. As a significant participant in China’s financial landscape and a proactive responder to national policies, the securities industry is profoundly influenced by the e-CNY across various domains. Therefore, this paper undertakes a theoretical analysis of the e-CNY’s implementation within securities institutions, concluding that it will usher in a new paradigm for the entire financial system.
文摘To describe and analyze the research status of alexithymia in elderly people in nursing institutions, and summarizes the existing research results and shortcomings. The literature in PubMed,CochraneLibrary,Web of Science,EBSCO,Proquest,Scopus,Sinomed,CNKI,WanFang,VIP was computer searched, and the time frame was build to October 30,2023.A total of 15 articles were included, comprising 10 in Chinese and 5 in English.Among them,14 articles were cross-sectional studies reporting the prevalence and influencing factors of communication disorders in elderly people residing in nursing homes.A total of three assessment tools were used.Additionally, three articles described preventive or intervention measures targeting alexithymia.Alexithymia has a high incidence and severity among elderly individuals in nursing institutions.Currently, there are only a few assessment tools available, and experimental studies are notably scarce.Future research should focus on enhancing the understanding of alexithymia in this population by developing and validating more comprehensive assessment tools, diversifying research methodologies, and conducting intervention studies that consider the various influencing factors.
文摘Final year project is an important training and assessment component incorporated in many courses of academic institution. The ability to translate ideas, research, and creativity into actual products, services,or businesses shows how successful and impactful people or institutions can be in the wider economy. However,in most of the cases, the outcomes of the final year project usually remain as academic discussion without maximizing their potential to be converted into a commercialized product or services. In this review, theory and applications are discussed to understand how entrepreneurial skills and networking abilities, components of individuals’human capital can impact the commercialisation of final year projects.Furthermore, determinants affecting commercialization of final year projects will also be explored namely:entrepreneurial skills, networking ability, access to resources, institutional support as well as creativity and innovation.
文摘China’s growing trade with countries along the“Belt and Road”Initiative is accompanied by a focus on green development.Based on the panel data from 2007 to 2018,this paper establishes a threshold regression model to empirically analyze the institutional quality threshold effect of China’s foreign trade technology spillover on the GTFP of countries along the“Belt and Road.”The results show that China’s foreign trade technology spillover has a significant institutional quality double threshold effect on the green total factor productivity of the countries along the“Belt and Road.”As the institutional quality of the countries along the“Belt and Road”crosses a specific threshold value, the impact of China’s foreign trade technology spillover on the green total factor productivity of the countries along the“Belt and Road”has a significant positive promoting effect, and corresponding suggestions are put forward.
文摘New research and development(R&D)institutions are an important part of the national innovation system, playing an important role in promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. In recent years, new R&D institutions have gradually become the driving force of innovation-driven development in China.Taking new R&D institutions in Zhejiang Province as the research object, this paper studies the internal talent training path and performance evaluation mechanism of new R&D institutions in Zhejiang Province by using the literature research method, comparison method, case verification method, and other methods. The investigation results show that there are problems such as lack of material and spiritual support and neglect of the absorption of local talents in the internal talent training, and there are problems such as unclear standards, insufficient data, and opaque processes in the performance evaluation mechanism, which greatly affect the establishment and improvement of the performance evaluation mechanism.Given the above problems, this paper puts forward a forward-looking,oriented,flexible,and compatible talent training path and performance evaluation mechanism, hoping to optimize the effective internal talent training path of new R&D institutions, improve the evaluation performance, and promote healthy development of new R&D institutions in Zhejiang Province.
