In the Upper Shihezi Formation, the clay fraction is dominated by kaolinite in northern part of the coal field, which was formed in alluvial sediment environment. But in the South of Huaibei coal field, the clay mineral assemblage consists of mainly illite that reflects the influence of sea water. The predominately kaolinite and sederite composition of the clay fraction in the lower Shihezi Formation sediments documents less relief and gentle erosion of kaolinite rich soils developing under warm source area. However, the distribution of coal-bearing source rocks utilizing geophysical methodology may do not conform to the geological rules of coal accumulation. And then the main geological controlling factors of coal accumulation are comprehensively analyzed as follows:(1) Paleotopography and tectonic subsidence determine the planar range of terrestrial-marine transitional facies markedly;(2) The relative sea level changes affect the accommodation space and shoreline migration, and limit the vertical range of coal-beds. More specifically, the relationship between the accommodation creation rate and the peat accumulation rate is a fundamental control on coal accumulation. The thickest and most widespread coals form where those two factors reached a state of balance;(3) The supply of autochthonous clasts and the distance between deposition places and paleovegetation accumulated area are the critical factor to form abundant coal, which means that if deposition area is close to paleouplift, there would be sufficient organic matters to form abundant source rocks. The results show that the integrated methods can significantly improve prediction accuracy of coal-bearing source rocks, which is suitable for early exploration of western deepwater area of South China Sea.展开更多

Due to the interference of strong reflection of coals, we cannot completely identify the effective reservoir information of coal-bearing reservoir on seismic data. Previous researchers have studied the reservoir by stripping or weakening the strong reflection, but it is difficult to determine the effectiveness of the remaining reflection seismic data. In this paper, through the establishment of 2D forward model of coal-bearing strata, the corresponding geophysical characteristics of different reflection types of coal-bearing strata are analyzed, and then the favorable sedimentary facies zones for reservoir development are predicted. On this basis, combined with seismic properties, the coal-bearing reservoir is quantitatively characterized by seismic inversion. The above research shows that the Taiyuan formation in LS block of Ordos Basin is affected by coals and forms three or two peaks in different locations. The reservoir plane sedimentary facies zone is effectively characterized by seismic reflection structure. Based on the characteristics of sedimentary facies belt and petrophysical analysis, the reservoir is semi quantitatively characterized by attribute analysis and waveform indication, and quantitatively characterized by pre stack geostatistical inversion. Based on the forward analysis of coal measure strata, this technology characterizes the reservoir facies belt through seismic reflection characteristics, and describes coal measure reservoirs step by step. It effectively guides the exploration of LS block in Ordos Basin, and has achieved good practical application effect.展开更多

The reactions took place in an open and nonequilibrium state. Chromatographic analyses of the gas products indicate that in the experiments there were generated CH 4 dominated hydrocarbons, along with some CO 2 and CO. Accordingly, we think there is no essential distinction between free state water and hydroxy in the minerals in the process of hydrocarbon formation. This study indicates that reactions between carbonates and water or water bearing minerals should be an important factor leading to the formation of abiogenetic hydrocarbons at the Earth’s depth.展开更多

Earth's core accretion and block formation in the Precambrian, margin splitting, opening-closing and piecing up in the Early Palaeozoic, rift formation and plate unification in the Late Palaeozoic, and basin-mountain coupling and landform shaping in the Meso-Cenozoic, forming six ore-bearing formations and ore deposits of various genetic types in the Tianshan Mountains, Kunlun Mountains and Altun Mountains. In the peripheral areas of Tarim there are four giant intercontinental metallogenic belts passing through, the Central Tianshan and southwestern Tianshan belts in the former USSR and the Qinling-Qilian-Kunlun and Palaeo-Tethys belts in China. According to the macro-analysis on the nearly one thousand known deposits (occurrences) and geophysical-geochemical anomalies, and the information from reconnaissance in some areas, the region has very good prospects for mineral resources. Some of the metallogenic belts may well become the reserve bases for exploration of mineral resources in China.展开更多

The stress generated by the strong tectonic movement was an important component of the total pressure that resulted in the formation of the eclogite in the Dabie UHPM zone. The three dimensional tectonic principal stresses and additional tectonic stress induced hydrostatic pressure [ p s=( σ 1+ σ 2+ σ 3)/3] are reconstructed according to the differential stress and the strain ratio ( α ) of the garnet in the minor coesite bearing eclogite of the Yingshan County. Then the gravity induced hydrostatic pressure ( p g) is calculated following the equation p minus p s, where p is estimated to be 2.8 GPa based on the quartz coesite geobarmeter. Therefore, the thickness of the rock column overlying the coesite bearing eclogite in the Ying shan County is determined ≥32 km. This estimation, significantly different from ≥100 km, the previous one obtained solely based on the weight/specific weight ratio (W/SW), offers a proper explanation for the puzzle that no tracer of the addition of mantle derived material has been found in the Dabie UHPM zone during the process of UHPM, although a number of researchers claim that this process took place at the depth of the mantle (≥100 km). It is concluded that attention should be paid to the additional tectonic stress induced hydrostatic pressure in the study of UHPM zones.展开更多

They formed in different tectonic environments such as an Archean rift zone (Xiajining and Dongwufenzi Groups), an Early Proterozoic stable basin (Wulashan Group), a Middle to Late Proterozoic continental rift zone (Baiyunebo Group), and a Paleozoic island arc environment (Bainaimiao Group). Gold contents in the gold bearing formations in the area are higher than those of other gold bearing formations in the North China Craton. However, as most gold bearing formations in the area are limited, there are a few big gold deposits in central Inner Mongolia. Gold contents in all formations were strongly influenced by migmatization and ductile shearing, the former process prompting mobilization, and the latter process resulting in gold enrichment in ductile shear zones. During the development of Archean to Proterozoic gold bearing formations, gold migrated from the mantle to the crust, then through the crust, finally deposited at the earth’s surface.展开更多

The Pinghu source rocks in the Xihu Sag are mainly gas-prone accompany with condensate oil generation. The coals and shales of the Pinghu Formation are classified from "fair" to "excellent" source rocks with total organic carbon(TOC) contents ranging from 25.2% to 77.2% and 1.29% to 20.9%, respectively. The coals are richer in TOC and S1+S2 than the shales, indicating that the coals have more generation potential per unit mass. Moreover, the kerogen type of the organic matter consists of types Ⅱ-Ⅲ and Ⅲ, which the maturity Ro ranges from 0.59% to 0.83%. Petrographically, the coals and shales are dominated by vitrinite macerals(69.1%–96.8%) with minor proportions of liptinite(2.5%–17.55%) and inertinite(0.2%–6.2%). The correlation between maceral composition and S1+S2 indicates that the main contributor to the generation potential is vitrinite. Therefore, the coals and shales of the Pinghu Formation has good hydrocarbon generation potential, which provided a good foundation for coal measure gas accumulation. Furthermore, coal facies models indicates that the Pinghu coal was deposited in limno-telmatic environment under high water levels, with low tree density(mainly herbaceous) and with low-moderate nutrient supply. Fluctuating water levels and intermittent flooding during the deposition of peat resulted in the inter-layering of coal, shale and sandstone, which potentially providing favorable preservation conditions for coal measure gas.展开更多

Based on abundant minerals, the following main sedimentary environments were distinguished: the illite-montmorillonitic (I-M), calcitic (Ct) and coal-forming environment (CL). For these hydrogeochemically differing environments the effects of limiting factors on the pyrite formation process (availability of sulphate and Fe, amount of organic matter and participation of organic sulphur) were assessed by correlation analysis. Significant differences in the effects of these limiting factors in the particular environments were observed. These differences were explained taking in account the different oxidative activity, Fe-complex and surface complex forming properties of humic substances in dependence of pH of environment and the abundance of sorptionally active clay minerals. In environments having a relatively low pH and containing clay minerals (I-M- and CL-environments) the oxidative activity of humic substances (Hs) on pyrite precursors was greatly prevented however pyrite formation depended on reactive Fe availability as the consequence of complex formation. On the contrary, in environments with a relatively high pH, as it was the calcitic, the oxidative activity of Hs was greatly enhanced, thus oxidizing the sulfur precursors of pyrite. The oxidation degree of organic matter was probably also a consequence of the differing activity of the humic electron-acceptors.展开更多

Thermogenic gas, which is generated during the thermal evolution of medium rank coal, is the main source of coalbed methane (CBM). Ethylbenzene (A) and 6,7-dimethyl-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-1-hydroxynaphthalene (B) have been used as model compounds to study the pyrolysis mechanism of highly volatile bituminous coal (R), according to the similarity of bond orders and bond lengths. All possible paths are designed for each model. It can be concluded that the activation energies for H-assisted paths are lower than others in the process of methane formation; an H radical attacking on β-C to yield CH4 is the dominant path for the formation of CH4 from highly volatile bituminous coal. In addition, the calculated results also reveal that the positions on which H radical attacks and to which intramolecular H migrates have effects on methyl cleavage.展开更多

文摘To analyze the relationship between macro and meso parameters of the gas hydrate bearing coal(GHBC)and to calibrate the meso-parameters,the numerical tests were conducted to simulate the laboratory triaxial compression tests by PFC3D,with the parallel bond model employed as the particle contact constitutive model.First, twenty simulation tests were conducted to quantify the relationship between the macro–meso parameters. Then, nine orthogonal simulation tests were performed using four meso-mechanical parameters in a three-level to evaluate the sensitivity of the meso-mechanical parameters.Furthermore, the calibration method of the meso-parameters were then proposed. Finally, the contact force chain, the contact force and the contact number were examined to investigate the saturation effect on the meso-mechanical behavior of GHBC.The results show that:(1)The elastic modulus linearly increases with the bonding stiffness ratio and the friction coefficient while exponentially increasing with the normal bonding strength and the bonding radius coefficient. The failure strength increases exponentially with the increase of the friction coefficient, the normal bonding strength and the bonding radius coefficient, and remains constant with the increase of bond stiffness ratio;(2)The friction coefficient and the bond radius coefficient are most sensitive to the elastic modulus and the failure strength;(3)The number of the force chains, the contact force, and the bond strength between particles will increase with the increase of the hydrate saturation, which leads to the larger failure strength.

文摘Based on the well logging knowledge graph of hydrocarbon-bearing formation(HBF),a Knowledge-Powered Neural Network Formation Evaluation model(KPNFE)has been proposed. It has the following functions:(1)extracting characteristic parameters describing HBF in multiple dimensions and multiple scales;(2)showing the characteristic parameter-related entities, relationships, and attributes as vectors via graph embedding technique;(3)intelligently identifying HBF;(4)seamlessly integrating expertise into the intelligent computing to establish the assessment system and ranking algorithm for potential pay recommendation.Taking 547 wells encountered the low porosity and low permeability Chang 6 Member of Triassic in the Jiyuan Block of Ordos Basin,NW China as objects,80%of the wells were randomly selected as the training dataset and the remainder as the validation dataset. The KPNFE prediction results on the validation dataset had a coincidence rate of 94.43%with the expert interpretation results and a coincidence rate of 84.38%for all the oil testing layers, which is 13 percentage points higher in accuracy and over 100 times faster than the primary conventional interpretation. In addition,a number of potential pays likely to produce industrial oil were recommended. The KPNFE model effectively inherits, carries forward and improves the expert knowledge, nicely solving the robustness problem in HBF identification. The KPNFE,with good interpretability and high accuracy of computation results,is a powerful technical means for efficient and high-quality well logging re-evaluation of old wells in mature oilfields.
文摘Taiyuan formation is the main exploration strata in Ordos Basin, and coals are widely developed. It effectively guides the exploration of LS block in Ordos Basin, and has achieved good practical application effect.
文摘In order to investigate the mechanism of formation of abiogenetic hydrocarbons at the depth of the Earth, experimental research on reactions between carbonates and water or water bearing minerals was carried out at the pressure of about 1 GPa and the temperature range of 800-1500℃. This study indicates that reactions between carbonates and water or water bearing minerals should be an important factor leading to the formation of abiogenetic hydrocarbons at the Earth’s depth.
文摘In the Precambrian System of the Yangtze and Cathaysian plates six ore-bearing formations can be identified: the Cu-Pb-Zn-bearing formations in volcanic rocks of marine facies of the Neoarchean-Paleoproterozoic, Cu-Au-bearing formations and Pb-Zn-bearing formations in volcanic rocks of marine facies of the Mesoproterozoic, Pb-Zn-bearing formations in volcaniclastic rock and carbonate rock of the Neoproterozoic, Fe-Mn-bearing formations in the volcaniclastic rock of the Neoproterozoic, and Ni-Cr-serpentine-bearing formations in ophiolite and ultrabasic rock of the Meso- and Neoproterozoic. They were mostly formed in the marginal rift valleys of the Yangtze and Cathaysian plates, where occur stratabound and stratiform ore deposits, thermal deposits and porphyry polymetallic deposits. The six regions with ore-bearing formations have good prospects for ore deposits.
文摘The tectonic development of the Tarim block has experienced four stages, i. e. Some of the metallogenic belts may well become the reserve bases for exploration of mineral resources in China.

文摘Experimental results have proved that the Xuefengian Sn-bearing biotite granites were formed by remelting and recrystallization of the Proterozoic metamorphic rocks of the Sibao Group at 500× 105-2000× 105 Pa and 750-570℃ and further testified that the F- and B-bear-ing aqueous solution played an important part in decreasing the formation temperature of the rocks. The results tally with the reality of the field geology. The authors have thus brought to light the mechanism for the formation of the Sn-bearing biotite granites and expounded the significance of their formation in the crust dynamics of South China.
文摘The plastic deformation of garnet in coesite bearing eclogite, quartz eclogite and garnet amphibolite of the UHPM complex in Yingshan County in the Dabie Mountains has been studied. It is concluded that attention should be paid to the additional tectonic stress induced hydrostatic pressure in the study of UHPM zones.
文摘In central Inner Mongolia, five gold bearing formations (Xiajining, Dongwufenzi, Wulashan, Baiyunebo and Bainaimiao Groups) belong either to volcano sedimentation or clasolite sedimentation. During the development of Archean to Proterozoic gold bearing formations, gold migrated from the mantle to the crust, then through the crust, finally deposited at the earth’s surface.
文摘The study on the beneficiation of titanium oxides from Panzhihua ilmenites by reduction of coal bearing pellets was carried out. The iron oxides in pellets were efficiently reduced to metal iron, and titanium oxide slag beneficiated was separated from metal iron. The effect of temperature, flux and coal blending ratio on the reduction and separation was investigated, and rational parameters were determined. A new process for the beneficiation of titanium oxides by rotary hearth furnace (RHF) was proposed.

文摘Coal measure source rocks, located in the Xihu Sag of the East China Sea Shelf Basin, were analyzed to define the hydrocarbon generation potential, organic geochemistry/petrology characteristics, and coal preservation conditions. Fluctuating water levels and intermittent flooding during the deposition of peat resulted in the inter-layering of coal, shale and sandstone, which potentially providing favorable preservation conditions for coal measure gas.
文摘The early diagenetic characteristics of pyrite formation processes in a Miocene freshwater sequence of mixed sediments (coal fragments in clays, sandstones or shales) alternating with continuous brown coal layers was investigated. The oxidation degree of organic matter was probably also a consequence of the differing activity of the humic electron-acceptors.

文摘The formation mechanism of methane (CH4) during coal evolution has been investigated by density functional theory (DFT) of quantum chemistry. In addition, the calculated results also reveal that the positions on which H radical attacks and to which intramolecular H migrates have effects on methyl cleavage.

文摘Groundwater of Luohe Formation is the main water source for industrial and agricultural and residential use in Binchang mining area, which is one of the key elements to water conservation coal mining. However, few studies are available to document the enrichment characteristics and influence of underground coal mining on groundwater for the Luohe Formation. This study evaluates the changes of groundwater levels and spring flow caused by mining activities to explore the influence mechanism of coal mining on groundwater by comparatively analysing existing mining data and survey data combined with a series of mapping methods. The results show that the aquifer of Luohe Formation are gradually thinning south-eastwards,disappeared at the mining boundary. In the vertical direction, the lithological structure is distinct, due to alternative sedimentation of meandering river facies and braided river facies.According to the yielding property, the aquifer is divided into three sections, namely, strong water-rich section, medium water-rich section, and weak water-rich section, which are located in northwest and central part, southwest, and the rest part of the mining area, respectively.Mining of Tingnan Coal Mine since 2004 has caused a 3.16 to 194.87 meters drop in groundwater level of Luohe Formation.Until 2015,70.10%of the mining area undergoes a groundwater level drop larger than 10.00 meters.Another influence of underground mining is that the total flow from 34 springs in 8 southern coal mines of the area has decreased by 286.48 L/s with a rate of decrease at 46.95%from 2007 to 2017.The areas that groundwater level falls or spring flow declines are manly located in the mine gob areas. Results also indicate that the ratio of the height of water conducted fracture zone to the mining height in Binchang mining area is between 16.85 and 27.92.This may increase ground water flow in vertical direction, causing a water level in the aquifer system to drop and ultimately decreasing the flow from the springs. The research results will provide data and theoretical support for the protection of groundwater resources and water conservation coal mining of Luohe Formation in Binchang mining area.

文摘The stress and gas pressure in deep coal seams are very high, and instability and failure rapidly and intensely occur. It is important to study the infrared precursor characteristics of gas-bearing coal instability and failure. In this paper,a self-developed stress-gas coupling failure infrared experimental system was used to analyse the infrared radiation temperature(IRT)and infrared thermal image precursor characteristics of gas-free coal and gas-bearing coal. The changes in the areas of the infrared temperature anomalous precursor regions and the effect of the gas on the infrared precursors were examined. The results show that high-temperature anomalous precursors arise mainly when the gas-free coal fails under loading, whereas the gas-bearing coal has high-temperature and low-temperature anomalous precursors. The area of the high-temperature anomalous precursor is approximately 30%–40%under gasbearing coal unstable failure, which is lower than the 60%–70%of the gas-free coal. The area of the low-temperature abnormal precursor is approximately 3%–6%,which is higher than the 1%–2%of the gas-free coal. With increasing gas pressure, the area of the high-temperature anomalous precursor gradually decreases, and the area of the low-temperature anomalous precursor gradually increases. The highand low-temperature anomalous precursors of gas-bearing coal are mainly caused by gas desorption, volume expansion, and thermal friction. The presence of gas inhibits the increase in IRT on the coal surface and increases the difficulty of infrared radiation(IR)monitoring and early warning for gas-bearing coal.
