Four main errors of round inductosyn,i.e. the first-order long-period (360°) harmonic error, the second-order long-period harmonic error, the first-order short-period harmonic error and the second-order short-period harmonic error, are described, and the orthogonality of these four kinds of errors is studied. An error separating technology is proposed to separate these four kinds of errors, and in the process of separating the short-period harmonic errors, the arrangement in the order of decimal part of the angle pitch number can be omitted. The effectiveness of the technology proposed is proved through measuring and adjusting the angular errors.展开更多

Two arc functions are employed for controlling the internal and external angles. The separation process in the cyclone tube is calculated by using two-fluid model based on the Eulerian-Eulerian method. The results show that the structure with the internal outlet angle smaller than the external one is more beneficial to the separation performance. It is found that the small internal angle can help increase the swirl number, while the small external angle can help increase the friction coefficient. Several groups of numerical simulations are conducted for the air intake unit of the gas turbine in practice. When the internal outlet angle is 35° and the external outlet angle is 40°,the blade has sufficient cyclone strength and the separation rate of particles with diameters of 10—100 μm is between70%—98%. The small blade angle is more conducive to the separation of fine particles, leading to violent collision of large particles on the outer wall and reduction of separation efficiency. In addition, reducing the external angle is conducive to the discharge of large particles.展开更多

A simple expression for buoyancy coefficient was proposed. The governing equations of turbulent buoyant jet with variable density were closed by introducing the expression of β and the relation between density and concentration. Numerical results for the jet axis with density difference agree well with experimental ones. By finite volume method, the 2 - D vertical jet's flow field with different jet angles was studied. The analysis of the relation among the vortex center, the position of separation point and jet angles shows that the circumfluenee field is the largest when the jet angle is 90°. The area turbulent kinetic energy ka is proposed and the relationship between mixing intensity and jet angles is analyzed based on it. Results show that the jet angle of is the optimum condition for jet water mixing with environment water;and the reduced rate of difference between the centerline density of jet and the density of ambient water is the largest at the jet angle of 90°.展开更多

The data from rotor/stator and stator/rotor configurations show that the unsteady flow response in axial stator passage is caused only by one rotor. The results from the rotor/stator/rotor configuration revealed the superimposed characteristic of influences from upstream and downstream the rotor. The impact of the superimposed characteristic was studied by analyzing the virtual relative flow angle at the stator exit. The results show that the axial velocity in the passage of axial stator can be influenced by wake from upstream axial rotor and potential field of downstream radial rotor. While they are coupled to have an effect on the unsteady flow in axial statot passage, the excitation or suppression phenomena appear and lead to different levels of deterministic fluctuation kinetic energy. Their locations are determined by the frequencies of the involved influences. In addition, the variability of superimposed characteristic ( excitation and suppression) at the stator exit modulates the inlet flow angle for downstream rotor.展开更多
