Results showed that, as the coke content increased from 3.2% to 4.4%, the liquid phase and combustion zone thickness increased while the vertical sintering rate and ratio of sintered product decreased. In addition, the combustion ratio of exhaust gas also increased with increasing the coke content, indicating that combustion zone temperature also increased, and the excessive the coke content in the sintering process of vanadiumtitanium magnetite is harmful. As the coke content increased, the magnetite, silicates, and perovskite contents of the sintered ore increased while the contents of hematite and calcium ferrite of sintered ore decreased; drum strength decreased, and reduction degradation properties increased while reduction ability decreased. We found that the appropriate coke content for the sintering process is 3.6 wt%.展开更多

The results show that the distance between cleavage planes is enlarged and the π electrons are re distributed because of the insertion of cations/molecules of ZC 1 into the cleavage planes of carbon , resulting in the weakening of C-C bond, improving the adsorption of oxygen and lowering the activation energy of gasification of carbon from 25.8 kJ/mol to 18.9 kJ/mol , and the burning rate being increased and combustion residual reduced, all of which can lead to lower solid fuel consumption . Compared with the sintering test without addition of additives , the solid fuel consumption is reduced by 16.0%, meanwhile, the rate of finished sinter, the output of finished sinter and the tumbling index are increased by 2.03%, 7.0% and 3.71% , respectively, with incorporating 0.2% of additive ZC 1 in the sintering mixture, which is in agreement with the catalyzing mechanism of ZC 1.展开更多

The effects of modified coke breeze and recycled flue gas on NOx reduction were investigated by sinter pot tests. The results show that the NOx reduction rate is over 10wt% in the sintering of modified coke breeze, the effects of the additives on NOx reduction are: CeO2〉CaO〉K2CO3. The NOx reduction rate increases with the amount of recycled flue gas, and is 22.35wt% in the sintering with recycling 30vol% of the flue gas. When 30vol% of the flue gas is recycled into the sintering of CeO2, CaO, and K2CO3 modified coke breeze, the NOx reduction rates are 36.10wt%, 32.56wt%, and 32.17wt%, respectively.展开更多

The swirl-jet-absorbing wet limestone-gypsum sintering FGD technology was developed for sintering flue gas desulfurization, and this process produces volumes of wastewater with various contaminants that requires treatment before disposal or reuse. In this study, the wastewater quality from three different sintering FGD systems at Baosteel Group was investigated and compared with wastewater from power plant FGD. A treatment process was proposed which is suitable for sintering FGD wastewater. After treatment with a neutralization, coagulation and sedimentation process, heavy metals in the sintering FGD wastewater were reduced to a level meeting the relevant emission standards ,but the pH and ammonia concentration were too high, and a further treatment process was needed. Due to certain similarities and complementarities between sintering FGD wastewater and coking wastewater, it is entirely feasible to mix the pretreated sintering FGD wastewater into a biological coking wastewater treatment system. This study indicates that it is entirely feasible to mix pretreated sintering FGD wastewater into the biological treatment systems used for coking wastewater from the iron and steel industries.展开更多
