However, its low yield stress greatly limits its application. This study aims to improve the yield stress of cold-rolled enameling steel under the premise of meeting formability and enameling properties by strengthening the ferrite matrix via solid strengthening of Mn. The grain size of ferrite before and after enameling, mechanical properties of annealed steel, and precipitation behavior of second-phase precipitates are obtained through studying the microstructure and properties of enameling steel at different stages. The microstructure of the steel investigated at room temperature is found to contain equiaxial ferrite and bunchy cementite particles;the ferrite grains have grown to some extent after enameling. The fine dispersed TiC particles and cementite particles contained in the annealed steel are the main factors improving the hydrogen storage capability. Finally, the result of a falling-ball impact test shows that the steel has achieved excellent adherence.展开更多

The microstructure and mechanical properties before and after enameling were contrastively investigated, and the precipitates in the samples were analyzed using transmission electron microscope and energy dispersive spectrometer. The results show the ferrite grain size of the steel plate after high-temperature enamel firing to be fine, with a large number of TiC and Ti;C;S;precipitates dispersed throughout the ferrite matrix. After two rounds of enamel firing at a temperature range of 800-890 ℃,its yield strength can still reach342 MPa. The results of a hydrogen permeation test show that the hydrogen storage properties of the steel plate are much better than those of ordinary structural carbon steel. A better bubble structure in the enamel layer can be obtained by this steel plate, with no fish-scale defects on the enameled steel-plate surface.展开更多

The grades of martensitic steel sheets are classified based on their tensile strength, which ranges from 980 to 1 700 MPa. The main applications include a series of structural parts of uniform cross-section or simple shape, such as bumper beams, door beams and door sills, etc. The study and development of cold-rolled martensitic steel sheets date back to 2007 in Baosteel, and some grades became commercially available in 2009. By 2015,Baosteel had commercially supplied thousands of tons of these steel sheets with tensile strength up to 1 400 MPa. Currently,1 500 MPa martensitic steel sheet is commercially available and 1 700 MPa martensitic steel sheet has been successfully produced. The process technology and application guides of Basoteel 's cold-rolled martensitic steels are summarized and analyzed in order to assist ongoing research and ensure correct applications of these ultra-high strength steel sheets.展开更多

Fatigue specimens were fabricated by laminating a supportive layer of 20-μm polyimide film to one side of the foil and patterning 242 crack initiation features by photolithographic process. Progression of fatigue damage was determined through electrical resistance measurement. The fatigue response was demonstrated to be largely affected by anisotropy existing between the rolling direction and the off-axis orientations. Fatigue cracks that traveled in a direction parallel to the elongated grains (cyclic loads applied at 90-degree orientation to foil rolling direction) had the most fatigue response (undesirable characteristic). The construction of the specimens with thin foil supported by a film backing contributed to high fatigue threshold.展开更多

It was found that the Ti(C,N) particles in hot-strip coarsened with increasing coiling temperature, whereas after cold-rolling and annealing, the size difference of Ti(C,N) particles was lessened. The hot-strip coiling temperature has a significant impact on the recrystallized texture in the subsequent cold-rolled and annealed sheet. Hot-strip using high temperature(700 ℃) coiling leads to strong {111} recrystallized texture in annealed sheet, with peak intensity 9.2. On the contrary, in annealed sheets using hot-strip coiling at 650 ℃, their {111} recrystallized textures were weaker, which was also reflected in their rmvalues. Even though the hydrogen diffusion coefficient is slightly lower(7.76×10^(-5) mm^2/s) in annealed sheet using low temperature coiling(600 ℃), appropriately higher coiling temperature is more suitable for DC06 EK enamel steel combining both good drawability and fish-scale resistance.展开更多

No adverse impact happens to the blast furnace operation when sludge pellets account for 10% of the blast furnace raw materials. Therefore, the technical route applied in this paper is proved simple, feasible and environmentally friendly for cold-rolling sludge treatment.展开更多

Thus, the parameters of set-up and manipulating are more difficult. With the aid of FE code MSC. MARC, the tension leveling process of thin strip steel was numerically simulated. Concentrating on the influence of the roll intermeshes in 2# anti-cambering on the distribution and magnitude of residual stresses in leveled strip steel, several experiments were clone with the tension leveler based on the results from the simulation. It was found from the simulation that the magnitude of longitudinal residual stresses in the cross-section of the leveled strip steel regularly presents obvious interdependence with the roll intermeshes in 2# anti-cambering. In addition, there is a steady zone as the longitudinal residual stresses of the surface layers in leveled strip steel vary with the roll intermeshes of 2# anticambering, which is of importance in the manipulation of tension levelers. It was also found that the distribution of strains and stresses across the width of strip steel is uneven during leveling or after removing the tension loaded upon the strip, from which it was found that 3D simulation could not be replaced by 2D analysis because 2D analysis in this case cannot represent the physical behavior of strip steel deformation during tension leveling.展开更多
