Vocational Identity and Agency of Chinese College Students: Effects of Filial Piety and Implications in Career Education

Balancing family obligations and personal aspirations is crucial for college students in making life decisions.This critical review examined empirical studies on the effects of filial piety on college students’vocational identity and agency.According to identity capital theory,college students need a sense of agency to construct identity consciously and adapt to adulthood.Filial piety may profoundly influence this process as the core value and internalized social structure for the role of being an adult child in a Chinese family.However,no studies have been conducted from the identity capital perspective.This review found that filial piety had direct effects on college students'vocational identity and also indirect effects by shaping specific agency competencies.The impact of filial piety on the agency was more likely to occur through providing normative guidance about adult roles,influencing how college students view family as a supportive resource,and perpetuating parenting experiences.Based on these findings,this article suggested further examining the mediating role of agency between filial piety and identity development,as well as the effects of filial piety on the psychological foundation of agency development.This review suggested enhancing the agency of college students and encouraging reflections on filial piety in career education.

Research on Career Planning Education for College Students

Career planning refers to the process in which an individual establishes career development goals,chooses a career,formulates corresponding education,training,and work plans,and takes necessary actions to achieve career goals while taking into account personal qualities and the external environment.This study analyzes the status quo and problems of career planning among college students and puts forward specific strategies to improve the career planning of college students.

Exploration and Analysis of the Improvement Path of College Students’Employment Ability Under the Concept of Career Planning

In the face of the fierce environment of employment,the employment of college students is a hot topic in all walks of life.The concept of career planning plays an important role in promoting the employability of college students.The career planning course for college students is a course generally offered by colleges and universities,which can help college students to better determine their employment goal and direction,and lay a solid foundation for the improvement of the employment rate of Chinese college students.This paper analyzes the reasons for the difficult employment of college graduates,puts forward the application value of career planning education in the improvement of college students’employability,points out the reasons for the difficulties of college students’employment,and makes targeted measures to improve the employability of college students under the concept of college students’career planning.

Group training on the improvement of college students'career decision-making self-efficacy

A group training was conducted on 17 college students to improve their career decision-making self-efficacy (CDMSE). The result showed that there was significant difference between the pre-test and the post-test for the experimental group (n = 17), whereas no significant difference was found between the pre-test and the post- test for the control group (n = 17). In the pre-test, there was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group, and obvious difference between the two groups was found in the post-test. This indicated that the group training was effective on improving the CDMSE of the college students whose scores of CDMSE were below 27% point of the total students.

Predicament of College Students with Economic Difficulties in Career Development and Assistance Strategies

College students with economic difficulties are the vulnerable groups who are easy to fall into the predicament of career development. They are mainly characterized as weak career awareness,unclear self-awareness,lack of social resources,and poor comprehensive quality. This paper comprehensively analyzed the predicament of college students and causes. On the basis of causes,it came up with strategies including establishing a perfect whole-process education mechanism,strengthening psychological health and ideological and political education,actively expanding social practice internship platform,and vigorously cultivating employment competitiveness,so as to help students with economic difficulties to get out of their predicament and realize sustainable and comprehensive career development.

Solutions to Rural College Students' Psychological Plight in Career Choice Based on Social Learning Theory:A Case Study of Northwest A&F University

The rural college students are facing psychological plight in their career choice.The social learning theory can use the triadic theory of learning to set reasonable career choice goals,the observational learning theory can be employed to establish a correct outlook on career choice,and the self-efficacy theory can be adopted to make up for the deficiencies in career choice.

Conducting the Task-based Approach With Context Aware Mobile Situated Learning on Learning English for College Students＇ Learning Performance

Learning English with specific purpose （ESP） initiatives domain knowledge and language ability with English learning to meet future job demands （Leroux ＆ Lafleur, 1995; Khan ＆ Khan, 2015）. In the information age, the innovative technologies of mobile devices make the dramatical changes in ways of teaching and learning （Atkinson, 2011; Bierstaker, Janvrin ＆ Lowe, 2014, Pittaway, 2012; Yang ＆ Che, 2015）. The focus of this study aims to examine ESP college students＇ English learning performance by using Context Aware Mobile Situated Learning （CAMSL） in Tourism and Hospitality Management field and other majors. The mixed research method is conducted for data collection and analysis. The quantitative data are collected by examining students＇ learning performance; the qualitative data are allowed to understand the students＇ perspective toward their role in using the CAMSL with Tourism related content. Eight-three students are randomly selected and divided into two groups： 42 students are assigned in the experimental group A （CAMSL）, and 41 students are assigned in control group. Two groups of students receive pretest and posttest to examine their English performance. Besides, twenty students from group A and B are selected for online survey. The survey is mailed directly to students＇ email account. Results represented by using CAMSL show the significant improvement on students＇ learning performance. In addition, the survey data indicate the benefits of using the CAMSL help students enhance their academic discourse, develop their learned knowledge to represent their profession, use English properly to speak themselves up, and provide the effectiveness of obtain domain knowledge in future workplace.

Study On Career Planning and Employment Guidance of the College Students

The employment situation of college students become increasingly serious, the society demands for profound knowledge, skills and comprehensive qualities of college students grow more and more strict. In order to successfully get employed, the college students not only need to do their college career planning in college, but also to master all kinds of skills which are useful while looking for a job. Research Status of Career Identity of Chinese College Students in 2010-2018

This paper sorts out the research on the current college students＇ career identity in China. From the analysis of the number, the object and the content of the researches, expound the significance, the role, the existing problems and the solutions of the college students＇ career idenlity. It is pointed out that there are some problems of college students in China. such as the number of studies are few. the research direction is single, more empirical research and less qualitative research, fewer enforceable schemes etc. Further research can effectively improve the number and qualily ofemploynment of college students, and will also effeciively provide protection for social development.

Application of Experience-based Teaching to College Students＇ Career Planning Course

It is common in China that the employment consciousness of the college students is weak, the professional orientation is not clear and vocational skills are deficient. The gradates lack of cognition about career, and there are many students changing other jobs frequently, which not only influences personal development, but also is a waste for the company and the country, Under the situation, the colleges should strengthen the college students to understand career planning and plan the lifetime rationally. The paper tries to find out the breakthrough point from the teaching ways and methods of career planning course for college students, proposes experience-based-based-based teaching, blends the second-classroom teaching model in it, and combines the qualities of science and engineering students in western universities, for solving the problems of the existing classroom teaching.

Research progress on career anxiety and influencing factors of nursing college students under the background of COVID-19

As the social environment keeps changing college students'employment anxiety increases rather than decreases,the mental health of college students during the new crown epidemic has attracted the attention of the state and universities.Through literature review,we analyzed the concept,measurement tools,and influencing factors of employment anxiety in the context of the new crown epidemic,aiming to propose measures and theoretical basis for improving career planning of nursing college students in the future,improving the quality of nursing talent training and alleviating employment anxiety of nursing college students in colleges and universities.

Survey and Thought on Graduates' Repayment Awareness of Student Loan in Agricultural Universities and Colleges

To find out graduates' repayment awareness of student loan,we conducted a questionnaire survey for those graduates who applied for student loan in Zhongkai University of Agriculture and Engineering.The survey has following results.First,the national student loan plays an important role in assisting poor students in finishing their study.Second,graduates value social function of personal credit.Third,trustworthiness education activities carried out by colleges and universities are effective.Fourth,economic income is a major factor of graduates repaying capital with interest.Fifth,bank's student loan management system is not perfect.Sixth,the national student loan system remains to be improved.In line with these results,we put forward five countermeasures and suggestions:strengthen the trustworthiness education of students;standardize the credit investigation management of students' personal credit;establish student information management mechanism;standardize banks' payment reminder administration behavior;and perfect national student loan system.

Study on the Ecological Ethics of Agricultural College Students

From the perspective of environmental sociology,a questionnaire survey was conducted on the environmental awareness and behaviors of undergraduates from nearly all fields of majors in Sichuan Agricultural University. According to the investigation results,there are los of problems,for example,the college students generally do not have adequate knowledge about environment and are unclear about the existing na- tional ecological law system; their attitude towards environment is often influenced by their majors; their evaluation of environment is far from the reality; their environmental behaviors are weakly restrained and conserved. According to these problems,related suggestions were proposed.

父母职业观念对大学生职业发展的影响

为了解父母职业观念对大学生职业发展的影响,自编职业观调查问卷开展调研,采用相关性分析、回归分析等方法考察其影响作用。结果显示,大学生职业观整体发展状况良好,大学生父母职业观各维度与其子女职业观各维度的相关性显著,父母职业观维度可有效预测子女职业认知39.6%,职业道德36.3%,职业情感36.9%,职业评价39.7%与职业理想29.4%的变异率。父母应树立正确的家庭教育理念,引导子女建立正确的职业观,对子女抱以理性的职业期望。此外,学校、社区等也应共同努力,实现家庭教育与学校教育的融合发展,营造良好的社区教育环境,共同为大学生职业发展提供正向引导。

大学生自主在线学习意识及在线学习效果的实证研究

在新冠疫情背景下在线学习的常态化发展,大学生的自主在线学习意识和学习效果已然成为评价学习质量和教育质量的观察指标。该研究旨在通过对336名大学生进行自主在线学习意识、学习效果及两者关系的研究分析,为在线学习意识和效果的提高提出相关建议。采用曼-惠特尼U检验和Kruskal-Wallis检验分析进行在线学习意识、学习效果的现状及差异性分析;采用多因素线性回归分析在线学习意识和学习效果的影响因素;在线学习意识和学习效果的相关性检验采用Spearman相关性分析。研究发现影响大学生自主在线学习意识和学习效果的因素包括专业、年级、学习时间、学习频率及网络环境。建议学校针对不同专业、年级学生合理有计划地安排自主在线学习时间和频率,优化在线学习网络环境和在线学习资源,进而提高自主在线学习意愿和学习效果。

大学生网络责任意识培育探析

大学生网络责任意识培育面临培育主体单一化、内容空泛化、方式模糊化、环境不健全的困境,主要原因在于大学生个人网络责任意识缺乏、家庭培育不重视、高校培育不科学以及网络环境负面影响等。为此,需要通过增强多元主体联合发力的核心作用、促进理论和实践相结合的支撑作用、发挥良好网络环境的载体作用、完善相关制度的保障作用等措施,全面加强和落实对大学生网络责任意识的培育,维护网络空间的平稳运行和网络社会的健康发展。
