To evaluate the efficacy of online learning and explore the impact of long-term use of electronic products on facial skin as well as eyes.A cross-sectional survey was conducted to 180 sophomores in Xi′an Jiaotong University by cluster random sampling from September to October 2021.The questionnaire covering study condition, skin lesion and Ocular Surface Disease Index.χ_(2) test was used to compare the facial skin condition among different groups, and spearman correlation test was used to test the correlation of rank data.During online education, students′learning pressure is reduced, their autonomy is improved, and the learning efficiency is reduced. There were differences in the incidence of facial itching and papules among different groups.Duration of use of electronic products was positively correlated with the facial itching, with an r value of 0.231(P<0.05);the proportion of pigmentation in non-blue light protection groups(12.8%)was higher than that in blue light protection groups(1.7%),the difference was statistically significant(χ_(2)=8.384,P<0.05).The prevalence of dry eye among college students is 66.7%,and the proportion of moderate to severe dry eye is 34.5%.The study autonomy has been improved during online teaching.Long-term use of electronic products and no blue light protection have an impact on facial skin.Students should enhance the knowledge of skin-care and eye-care and develop better habits. 展开更多

Motivation to language learning is a complex set of variables including effort, desire to achieve goals, as well as attitudes toward the learning of the language. Individuals' motivation to second-language learning also includes their motivation orientations, interest in the second language, attitudes toward the second-language group, attitudes toward the second-language learning situations and second-language anxiety. Based on the basic theories and approaches, teaching activities are part of motivation in English classes. The teacher of language should have a good influence on students and develop students' keen interest in study in order to strengthen their intrinsic motivation, and set up some new goals for students to pursue and give the feedback to reinforce their inner drive and confidence. Thus, students will become major conductors, make full use of their potentials and enhance their study results. 展开更多

Nowadays, the competitiveness of college student recruitment and the increasing challenge of college fund-raisinghave made students' quality of life (QoL) a priority in many universities, in addition to their pursuit of high qualityeducation. This study investigates the effect of QoL on college learning among the Chinese university students atthe National Quemoy University, Taiwan, using a questionnaire and interview techniques. The quantitative datacollected reveals that the 311 randomly selected college participants perceived a 70.5% influence of QoL on theirlearning and academic growth on a scale of 0 to 100. Furthermore, the qualitative data collected shows that thestudents perceived QoL as crucial to their learning and academic achievements, and that multiple life facets--suchas quality of sleep or diet, peer relationships, or time management--interacted in influencing their learning. It isthus suggested that educational programs, resources, and relevant decisions are made to further advance thewell-being of said college students. This study has significant implications for classroom teaching practice andhigher education administration. 展开更多

With the advent of the big data era, personalized self-adaptive learning is implemented for college students, which promotes the balanced development of all aspects of their abilities and leads to changes in their learning styles. Quality assurance and personalized education of online education have become an important direction for the further development of distance education. At present, in the online education platform, learners' participation in learning activities is not high, and educational managers and teachers do not have in-depth understanding of learners' learning status. Based on this, the article explores the connotation and components of online learning based on the background of big data, and studies the online learning process control of college students from the aspects of information retrieval power, network self-control and practice transformation. The purpose is to explore the application of big data in learning process control, establish a learning process control strategy model based on big data, and verify the effectiveness of the strategy model and control strategy by designing a variety of different control experiments to provide ideas for controlling experiments. 展开更多

Listening is very important for the learning of a language. We must ensure that there are language standardization and foundation of practice while learning any languages.By improving listening, the language communication ability can be improved.Learning other languages requires listening as the foundation of learning. In college English teaching, listening also takes very important position. However, due to the current situation of Chinese education and the characteristics of students’learning,Chinese students generally have a lower level of listening skills, and usually, most of them score very low in the listening part in level 4 or level 6 of the College English Tests. The root cause of this phenomenon is that listening test in some underdeveloped areas of China is not included as part of the test results of the middle and high school entrance examinations, and very often, listening was neglected in English lessons. As a result, many students end up with poor listening performance result. However,in college, the teaching of listening still follows the traditional education model of the past, and there are many lessons allocated to this aspect of English learning. In addition, there is almost no strategic guidance in the learning process, making students unable to begin on listening practice.Although both teachers and students tried to improve their listening skills, the results were unsatisfactory. Therefore,it is imperative to solve the problem of poor English listening level of students.Experts such as Huang Zidong and Wang Yu believe that strengthening strategic training is currently a very important method to improve students’English listening skills. 展开更多

Language learning strategies play an important role in language learning. Students in vocational technical colleges have been regarded as low English proficiency learners due to their weak foundation in learning English. To explore the solution, the present study employed a specific survey of language learning strategy use and tried to conduct a one-semester language learning strategy training, aiming to investigate the effects of integrating language learning strategy into EFL instruction for non-English major students in vocational technical colleges. We found after the instruction, the difference in the frequency of overall strategy use between the experimental group and the control group was significant indicating that the students could be trained with language learning strategies to enhance the frequency of their strategy use. After language learning strategy instruction, the experimental group didn't perform significantly better than the control group in terms of their English language proficiency. However, the results of this present study still supported this viewpoint that the strategy instruction had positive impacts to some extent if properly conducted, for it had positive effects on enhancing students' language learning strategy use. 展开更多
