A Study on the Impact of Cheerleading on the Psychological Health of Female College Students

This study investigates the effects of technical cheerleading and dance cheerleading on the psychological health of female college students by utilizing the Symptom Checklist-90(SCL-90),the Comprehensive Diagnostic Scale for Interpersonal Relationships,and the Social Adaptability Diagnostic Scale.The findings indicate the following:(1)Technical cheerleading has a highly significant impact on sensitivity in interpersonal relationships,paranoia,and psychoticism,and a significant effect on anxiety and hostility;dance cheerleading has a highly significant effect on paranoia;(2)Both technical and dance cheerleading have minimal impact on the overall score distribution of interpersonal relationships among female college students,but the dimensions of their effects differ;(3)The impact of technical cheerleading on the social adaptability of female college students is more pronounced than that of dance cheerleading.

The Relationship between Psychological Suzhi and Mental Health among Chinese College Students

Object: To explore the relationship between psychological suzhi and mental health among Chinese college students, and to gain psychological suzhi factors that are predictors for mental health. Method: By using stratified sampling method, an investigation was conducted among 734 subjects. They were assessed with the College Student Psychological Suzhi Scale (CSPS, including 3 subscales, 28 factors) and General Health Questionnaire-20 item (GHQ-20, including 3 subscales). Results: 1) Psychological suzhi score for Chinese college students had negative correlation with the score of GHQ-20, GHQ-depression and GHQ-anxiety (p < 0.001), and positive correlation with the score of GHQ-self-affirmation (p < 0.001);2) Psychological suzhi score for Chinese college students was predictor of the score for GHQ-20 and its subscales namely GHQ-self-affirmation, GHQ-depression, and GHQ-anxiety (β = ?0.448, 0.439, ?0.262, ?0.259, p < 0.001);the variance explained by the score of GHQ-20 and its subscales were 19.9%, 19.1%, 6.7%, 6.5%;3) There were 12 psychological suzhi factors that were predictors for GHQ-self-affirmation which was known as the positive indicator of mental health (p < 0.05);11 psychological suzhi factors were predictors for GHQ-depression and GHQ-anxiety which was known as the negative indicator of mental health (p < 0.05). Conclusion: There exists a correlation between psychological suzhi and mental health, particularly in positive mental health. Indeed, the psychological suzhi factors are able to enhance the pertinence of mental health education.

A Pilot Study of the Impact of Stimulant Pharmacotherapy in College Students with ADHD on Alexithymia and Psychological Mindedness

Objective: Alexithymia is increasingly recognized in a number of psychiatric disorders, but a possible relationship between alexithymia and adult attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) has not been studied. It is not known if psychostimulants decrease symptoms of both ADHD and alexithymia. This relationship is examined in a small naturalistic and longitudinal study. Participants: Ten consecutive stimulant-naive college students seek assessment and treatment for ADHD during the academic year. Method: Participants completed three self-report instruments quantifying ADHD symptomatology, alexithymia, and psychological mindedness prior to initiation of stimulant pharmacotherapy and after three and six months of medication treatment without formal psychotherapy. Results: ADHD symptoms decreased significantly from baseline to three months and remained low at six months. Decreases in alexithymia and increases in psychological mindedness changed more slowly, with significant differences occurring at six months compared to baseline. Conclusions: This study suggests that stimulant pharmacotherapy in college students with ADHD decreases ADHD symptoms and alexithymia while increasing psychological mindedness. These results have implications for untreated adult ADHD patients seeking psychotherapy.

Solutions to Rural College Students' Psychological Plight in Career Choice Based on Social Learning Theory:A Case Study of Northwest A&F University

The rural college students are facing psychological plight in their career choice.The social learning theory can use the triadic theory of learning to set reasonable career choice goals,the observational learning theory can be employed to establish a correct outlook on career choice,and the self-efficacy theory can be adopted to make up for the deficiencies in career choice.

The Application of HTP Projection Test in the Psychological Survey of Tibetan and Han College Students

The projective test is not only helpful to find the potential psychological crisis,but also to overcome the language barrier and make up for the deficiency of the questionnaire test to a certain extent.In this study,403 college students(205 Tibetan students and 198 Han students)from a national college were selected to test their mental health with Symptom Checklist-90(SCL-90)and House-Tree-Person test(HTP).By comparing the results of questionnaire test and drawing projection test,it is found that SCL-90 and HTP test are significantly related to the positive screening results of four factors:Somatization,Depression,Anxiety and Phobic Anxiety.Both HTP test and SCL-90 test results show that the scores of Somatization,Depression,Anxiety and Phobic Anxiety of Tibetan and Han college students were significantly different;the scores of Anxiety and Phobic Anxiety of different gender college students were significantly different.Using HTP test as a supplementary test of questionnaire test can effectively improve the accuracy of screening.

Superficial Inquiry on the Mechanism of Psychological Health Education of College Students under the Background of Anti Epidemic

Psychological health education has been highly valued by the party and the state.During the fight against the COVID-19,colleges and universities have made a beneficial exploration in carrying out psychological health education.In older to further understand the impact of the epidemic on the psychological health of college students,a survey was carried out based on questionnaire survey,depth interview and expert consultation.The survey found that the epidemic increased the psychological pressure and posed new challenges to the psychological health education in colleges and universities.Based on the analysis of the causes from the four aspects of society,family,college and individual,this thesis put forwards some suggestions on how to effectively carry out the psychological health education of college students in the context of fighting against the epidemic.

A Brief Discussion on the Causes and Countermeasures of College Students'Psychological Confusion and Mental Health Problems

Prevention and Intervention Measures for Abnormal Psychology of Rural College Students: A Case Study of Northwest A&F University

Due to the negative influence of family's cultural and education level,economic development,and rural traditional culture,rural college students have such abnormal psychology as inferiority complex in learning and job selection,high psychological pressure,sensitive interpersonal relationship,high emotion fluctuation,confusion in love and sex,and high unknown risks. Therefore,through strengthening the effectiveness of abnormal psychological prevention and intervention,it is expected to prevent rural college students from becoming psychological weak.

Investigation and analysis of network psychology of college students

Based on basic situational research and analysis carried out on 638 college students using network, we found that as many as 20 percent of the students are not only largely dependent on internet, but also addicted to it. Further biography characteristics analyses for different individuals on the four dimensions of the network forced addiction, tolerance, and time management and interpersonal relationship and health, show that there are significant differences in grades, gender with different education levels of their parents. Further researches on discrepancy that addicted groups have in network entertainment addiction, network information, cyber porn, network relations and network transactions addictions also illustrate that significant discrepancies exist in gender, net age, different discipline and other factors. Finally we put forward some correlative measures to solve the problems of college students network psychology from individuals, schools, and society levels.

Psychological Impact of the 2022 Round COVID-19 Pandemic on China's College Students

In response to the new round of COVID-19 outbreaks since March 2022,universities with high outbreak rates around the country have taken quarantine measures to contain the epidemic.Evidence from previous coronavirus outbreaks has shown that people under quarantine are at risk for mental health disorders.To better understand the impacts of this round of COVID-19 quarantine on domestic college students and their responses,we conducted a systematic survey to assess the stress and anxiety,and to evaluate effective measurements in this population.We searched relevant documents and literature,and designed a questionnaire from six aspects,including psychological status,epidemic situation,study,daily life,sports,and interpersonal communication,with 51 items in total.We sent the questionnaire on the Wenjuanxing Web platform,from April 2 to 8,2022.We evaluated the mental status according to parts of the Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7(GAD-7)and Depression Anxiety Stress Scales-21(DASS-21),and investigated the influencing risk factors and countermeasures.Statistical analysis was performed by using the Chi-square test and multi-variable logistic regression.In total,508 college respondents were recruited in our survey,and the pooled prevalence of mild anxiety(GAD score≥5,or DASS-21 anxiety score≥8)or stress(DASS-21 pressure score≥14)caused by the new round of COVID-19 pandemic quarantine was 19.69%(100/508).The prevalence of the anxiety or stress in college students with COVID-19 quarantine between different genders,regions,and majors was not significantly different.Independent risk factors for the mild anxiety or stress of undergraduates by COVID-19 quarantine included learning efficiency or duration[OR=1.36,95%CI(1.14—1.62),P=0.001],based on the combined analysis of Chi-square test analysis with multi-variable logistic regression analysis.Interestingly,the mental well-beings before COVID-19 epidemic quarantine[OR=0.22,95%CI(0.130.36),P<0.0001],more low-intensity exercise[OR=0.36,95%CI(0.150.87),P=0.02,high-intensity exercise as reference],and good sleep quality[OR=0.14,95%CI(0.07-0.30),P<0.0001:OR=0.42,95%CI(0.300.59),P<0.0001]are protective factors for alleviating the quarantine-caused anxiety or stress in Chinese college students for this round of COVID-19 epidemic quarantine.During the round of COVID-19 epidemic quarantine in 2022,a small number of college students have mild anxiety,affected by decreased learning efficiency or duration,which could be mitigated with low-intensity exercise and good sleep quality.

An Analysis on Mental Health Education of College Students with Financial Difficulties

With the enrollment expansion of college and continuous reform of college education system and college charging system,the number of college students with financial difficulties is increasing. The college students with family financial difficulties not only bear the huge economic burden,but also bear the huge pressure of learning and mental stress,and they have many kinds of psychological problems including psychological distress of tension and anxiety,psychological conflict of self-respect and self-abasement,conflict of desire for interpersonal interaction and self-containment and strong vanity and dependence mentality. This paper puts forward the corresponding recommendations to solve these problems.

心理资本对大学生压力知觉的影响:认知重评的中介效应和表达抑制的遮掩效应

目的:考察心理资本对大学生压力知觉的影响以及认知重评的中介效应和表达抑制的遮掩效应。方法:利用心理资本问卷、情绪调节量表和压力知觉量表对1502名大学生进行问卷调查,采用SPSS 24.0进行描述性统计分析,采用PROCESS进行中介效应分析。结果:1压力知觉与心理资本(r=-0.67,P<0.001)、认知重评(r=-0.48,P<0.001)和表达抑制(r=-0.08,P<0.01)显著负相关,心理资本与认知重评(r=0.65,P<0.001)、表达抑制(r=0.18,P<0.001)显著正相关,认知重评与表达抑制(r=0.37,P<0.001)显著正相关;2中介效应结果表明,控制性别后,认知重评在心理资本对大学生压力知觉的影响间具有中介效应,表达抑制在心理资本对大学生压力知觉的影响间具有遮掩效应。结论:通过提升大学生的心理资本、增加大学生对认知重评策略的使用频率和减少对表达抑制策略的使用频率来降低其感知的压力。

父母教养方式对大学生心理危机的影响:感知校园氛围与自尊的链式中介作用

目的:基于生态系统理论,探究父母教养方式(积极教养方式和消极教养方式)对大学生心理危机的影响以及感知校园氛围与自尊的中介作用。方法:采用便利抽样法,于2023年9-12月选取黑龙江省某大学650名在校大学生为研究对象。采用简式父母养育方式问卷、感知校园氛围量表、自尊量表、大学生心理危机筛查量表进行问卷调查。采用Pearson相关分析探讨各量表得分的相关性。采用AMOS 24.0进行链式中介模型的构建,采用Bootstrap方法进行中介效应检验。结果:积极教养方式对心理危机的总效应显著[β=-0.509,95%CI(-0.573,-0.442),P<0.001];积极教养方式对心理危机的间接效应,即感知校园氛围、自尊的中介效应显著[β=-0.258,95%CI(-0.323,-0.199),P<0.001];积极教养方式对心理危机的直接效应显著[β=-0.252,95%CI(-0.336,-0.161),P<0.001]。消极教养方式对心理危机的总效应显著[β=0.475,95%CI(0.409,0.538),P<0.001];消极教养方式对心理危机的间接效应,即感知校园氛围、自尊的中介效应显著[β=0.252,95%CI(0.196,0.312),P<0.001];消极教养方式对心理危机的直接效应显著[β=0.223,95%CI(0.135,0.309),P<0.001]。两个链式中介模型均属于部分中介模型。结论:感知校园氛围与自尊在父母教养方式与大学生心理危机之间起链式中介作用。学校及精神卫生服务部门可对大学生心理危机影响因素进行及时干预,以减少和预防大学生心理危机的发生。
