Some human diseases are recognized through of each type of White Blood Cell(WBC)count,so detecting and classifying each type is important for human healthcare.The main aim of this paper is to propose a computer-aided ...Some human diseases are recognized through of each type of White Blood Cell(WBC)count,so detecting and classifying each type is important for human healthcare.The main aim of this paper is to propose a computer-aided WBCs utility analysis tool designed,developed,and evaluated to classify WBCs into five types namely neutrophils,eosinophils,lymphocytes,monocytes,and basophils.Using a computer-artificial model reduces resource and time consumption.Various pre-trained deep learning models have been used to extract features,including AlexNet,Visual Geometry Group(VGG),Residual Network(ResNet),which belong to different taxonomy types of deep learning architectures.Also,Binary Border Collie Optimization(BBCO)is introduced as an updated version of Border Collie Optimization(BCO)for feature reduction based on maximizing classification accuracy.The proposed computer aid diagnosis tool merges transfer deep learning ResNet101,BBCO feature reduction,and Support Vector Machine(SVM)classifier to forma hybridmodelResNet101-BBCO-SVM an accurate and fast model for classifying WBCs.As a result,the ResNet101-BBCO-SVM scores the best accuracy at 99.21%,compared to recent studies in the benchmark.The model showed that the addition of the BBCO algorithm increased the detection accuracy,and at the same time,decreased the classification time consumption.The effectiveness of the ResNet101-BBCO-SVM model has been demonstrated and beaten in reasonable ratios in recent literary studies and end-to-end transfer learning of pre-trained models.展开更多
BACKGROUND Longus colli tendinitis(LCT)with dyspnea is a relatively less-reported condition in the literature,and physicians should be aware of its existence.Misdiagnosis of this condition may cause unnecessary treatm...BACKGROUND Longus colli tendinitis(LCT)with dyspnea is a relatively less-reported condition in the literature,and physicians should be aware of its existence.Misdiagnosis of this condition may cause unnecessary treatment for dyspnea.CASE SUMMARY Herein,we report the case of a 40-year-old man with acute neck tendonitis.The patient presented to the pneumology department clinic with a complaint of acute neck tendonitis with dyspnea.An emergency cervical magnetic resonance examination was performed,and the preliminary diagnosis was“acute longus cervicalis tendinitis.”After aggressive medical treatment,the symptoms obviously improved.CONCLUSION LCT is a self-limiting disease that usually improves after three to seven days of conservative treatment following a definite diagnosis.However,owing to its insidious onset and complex clinical manifestations,most relevant personnel are not fully understood.The definite diagnosis of LCT is based on a comprehensive understanding of the triad,rare symptoms,and the clear identification of cervical 1 and 2 levels calcification and prevertebral edema by medical imaging examination,especially magnetic resonance imaging and computed tomography.展开更多

We aimed to measure th...Anterior cervical surgery is commonly used for cervical vertebral body lesions. However, the structure of blood vessels and nerve tissues along the route of anterior cervical surgery is complex. We aimed to measure the data of the longus colli, the sympathetic trunk and the cervical sympathetic trunk （CST） ganglia in Chinese cadaver speci- mens. A total of 32 adult cadavers were studied. We delineated the surgical anatomy of the CST. The superior and inferior/cervicothoracic ganglia of the sympathetic trunk consistently appeared. The middle ganglion was observed in 28.1% of the specimens and there were 2 cases of unilateral double middle cervical ganglia. The inferior ganglion was observed in 25.0% of the specimens and the cervicothoracic ganglion was observed in the remaining speci- mens. The distance between the CST gradually decreased from the top to the bottom, and the distance between the medial edges of the longus colli gradually broadened from the top down. The average angle between the bilat- eral CST and the midline of the vertebra was 11.2°± 1.8° on the left side and 10.3°± 1.4° on the right side. The average angle between the medial margins of longus colli of both sides was 11.1°± 1.9°. The CST is at high risk when LC muscle is cut transversely or is dragged heavily, especially at the levels of C6 and C7. Awareness of the regional anatomy of the CST could help surgeons to identify and preserve it during anterior cervical surgeries.展开更多

This lesion is fibrous involving the sternocleidomastoid muscle, discovered after a few weeks of life in a patient who had known or unknown perinatal trauma. Rarely bilateral, it evolves spontaneously favorably in a few weeks or months in the vast majority of cases. Objectives: The purpose of this work is to bring the interest in ultrasound in the management of fibromatosis colli. Material and Methods: This is a descriptive cross-sectional study covering a period of 21 months from December 2019 to December 2021 in the medical imaging department of the medical clinic “Marie Cuire” in Bamako. The variables analyzed were age, sex and ultrasound results. The ultrasound system used was General Electric (GE). Data analysis was performed using Excel software. Results: During the 21-month study period, 1260 infants were seen in our service, including 0.95% for cervical swelling. We had a male predominance with 8 cases out of 12 cases and the age of the patients was mainly between 21 days and 30 days. The diagnosis was made by ultrasound, which revealed within the Sterno-cleido-mastoid muscle (MSCM) a hypo-isoechoic or heterogeneous oblong mass or thickening without any other associated anomaly. Conclusion: Cervical ultrasound is a significant examination in the management of fibromatosis colli for diagnostic confirmation and therapeutic follow-up.展开更多
