Exploring the Internal and External Factors that Influence Chinese EFL Students' Speaking Performance: A Case Study

This case study on one Chinese EFL learner examined both the internal and external factors that affect Chinese EFL learner's speaking performance. Three interviews and three tests have been conducted in the whole process, and the findings revealed:(1) interference from first language is the most influential factor that hinders speaking performance;(2) learner attitude significantly affects speaking performance;(3) learning strategies and practicing help improving performance.

Empirical Analysis on Factors Affecting Mobile Internet Users’ Purchase Intention for 3G Handsets

The research on consumers' purchase intention for 3G handsets has important theoretical and practical value. This research puts forward four key factors which influence consumers' purchase intention based on the cue utilization theory, situational theory and social impact theory, then it establishes the study model for consumers' purchase intention of 3G handsets. Based on the result of the questionnaire survey and empirical analysis, the study shows that social influence is the most prominent factor in purchase intention. Moreover, as different from results of previous studies, the situational influence factors have no significant impact on purchase intention in the 3G handsets market. The results of the model provides a forceful evidence for operators' and handset manufacturers' decision-making of 3G handsets design and marketing strategies, and it will improve their social impact.

Activity Concentrations and Associated Gamma Doses of 238U and 235U in Jordan

In this study, sixteen soil and vegetable samples from Tafila district were collected and analyzed from eight locations. Measurements of specific activity of natural gamma emitter radionuclides, 23SU and 235U, in these samples using gamma spectrometry, with the help of Genie 2000 software. Measurements were used to calculate the soil-vegetable transfer factor, and then the external radiation dose and internal radiation dose due to radioactivity of the ingested food. The specific activity of238U and 235U in soil were found to vary from （in Bq/kg）： 26-575 and 1.4-35.5, respectively. The specific activity of 238U and 235U in vegetables were found to vary from （in Bq/kg）： 0.019 to 0.632 and 0.0013-0.0375, respectively. The calculated transfer factor of Z3SU and Z35U range from 5.9 × 10^-4to 14.6 × 10^-4 for 238U and 4.9 × 10^-4 to 16.1 × 10^-4 for 235U. External absorbed dose rates were calculated to be in the range from 12.42 to 266.00 nGy/h. The annual effective dose was found to vary from 28.94 to 619.78 μSv/y. The annual internal effective dose due to 23SU and 23SU for fresh weights ofvegetablesl were found to vary from 0.9 × 10^-3 to 35.1 × 10^-3 μSv/y for 238U and 0.61 × 10^-4 to 17.62 × 10^-4 μSv/y for 235U.

In this paper,first the author provides a brief review of contemporary psychological views on motivation and motivation in SLL.The author then discusses Williams and Burden' s (1997) cognitive model of motivation,which suggests that both internal and external factors are significant in motivation.And next the author selects two internal factors (attitudes to language learning in general and attitudes to target language community and culture) and two external factors (parents and teachers),discussing their relevance to motivation in language learning.After that the author refers in her answer both to the wider literature on motivation and her own experience of motivation as a language teacher and learner.The author concludes the paper by drawing some practical implications from employing this model.

Prenatal risk factors for internalizing and externalizing problems in childhood

Background A growing body of research has documented the effects of prenatal risk factors on a wide spectrum of adverse offspring health outcomes.Childhood behavior problems,such as externalizing and internalizing problems,are no exception.This comprehensive literature review aims to summarize and synthesize current research about commonly experienced prenatal risk factors associated with internalizing and externalizing problems,with a focus on their impact during childhood and adolescence.Potential mechanisms as well as implications are also outlined.Data sources The EBSCO,Web of Science,PubMed,Google Scholar,and Scopus databases were searched for studies examining the association between prenatal risk factors and offspring internalizing/externalizing problems,using keywords“prenatal”or“perinatal”or“birth complications”in combination with“internalizing”or“externalizing”.Relevant articles,including experimental research,systematic reviews,meta-analyses,cross-sectional and longitudinal cohort studies,and theoretical literature,were reviewed and synthesized to form the basis of this integrative review.Results Prenatal risk factors that have been widely investigated with regards to offspring internalizing and externalizing problems encompass health-related risk factors,including maternal overweight/obesity,substance use/abuse,environmental toxicant exposure,maternal infection/inflammation,as well as psychosocial risk factors,including intimate partner violence,and anxiety/depression.Collectively,both epidemiological and experimental studies support the adverse associations between these prenatal factors and increased risk of emotional/behavioral problem development during childhood and beyond.Potential mechanisms of action underlying these associations include hormonal and immune system alterations.Implications include prenatal education,screening,and intervention strategies.Conclusions Prenatal risk factors are associated with a constellation of offspring internalizing and externalizing problems.Identifying these risk factors and understanding potential mechanisms will help to develop effective,evidence-based prevention,and intervention strategies.

A Study of Fossilization among Chinese Students in English Writing

This thesis investigates the causes of fossilization in English writing among two groups of English majors as well as the measures to deal with it. The experiment was conducted among 62 English majors from National University of Defense Technology, and both their questionnaires and written texts were collected as the source of data analyzed. With data collected from questionnaires and written texts, the study aimed to explore （a） the causal factors leading to fossilization in writing, （b） the strategies to deal with students＇ fossilization. Relevant information was elicited from the questionnaire, written texts. Quantitative data were treated with SPSS for descriptive analysis and correlation analysis. The results indicated that both external and internal factors can lead to fossilization in English writing. The external factors include input, instruction and environment in the learning, and the internal factors incorporate students＇ interest, learning strategy, motivation with their systematic knowledge. Based on the results of the experiment, the author attempts to discuss measures to deal with fossilization.

Factors Influencing Foreign Language Learning

For many years, scholars have been studying the factors that influence foreign language learning. Generally speaking,the factors that influence foreign language learning can be divided into internal and external factors. Whether internal or external factors, they are interconnected in playing their different roles in learners' process of acquiring a foreign language. Internal factors are things like learners' age, intelligence, language aptitude, attitude, personality, etc while design of curriculum, teachers' instruction, the status of target language culture, and access to native speakers can be categorized into external factors influencing learners' foreign language learning.

Through four Chapters'analysis,I analyze the relationship between mother tongue and English,the effects of internal factors like age of learners,intellegence and external Factors such as attitudes,and integrative and instrumental motivation on English Learning in order to tell the readers what the aspects are to affect English learning.At the meaning time,the positive and negative roles of Mother Tongue in English Learning are emphasized so as to conclude the importance of mother tomgue learning on English learning.In the end,by having experienced 20 years'English learning and several years'working as an English translator or interpreter,I present my personal ideas about the effects of mother tongue's learning on English learning and also suggest some ways or methods for the English learning beginners during the learning process.

基于外部和内部因素评价矩阵的圣彼得堡中医中心发展策略研究

目的:研究圣彼得堡中医中心发展中存在的问题,分析制约和影响其发展的内外部因素,为中医中心在俄罗斯的进一步良好发展提供一定的策略和建议。方法:通过环境因素评价矩阵的方法,分别使用外部因素评价(EFE)矩阵和内部因素评价(IFE)矩阵对影响圣彼得堡中医中心发展的重要制约因素进行定量评价分析,对海外中医中心的未来发展进行科学而系统的研究,利用SWOT模型并由此判断中医中心发展所处的阶段,从而选择适宜的发展策略。结果:利用EFE和IFE矩阵中计算出的力度值,通过SWOT模型运算可得,重心P坐标是(0.2,0.41),可知P位于第一象限,位于机会型策略区。结论:目前适合圣彼得堡中医中心发展的应选择开拓型策略中的机会型,进而提出相应对策与建议,以保障发展策略落实,推进中医中心在俄罗斯的健康长远发展。

组合式外固定器与内固定技术在复杂四肢骨折患者中的对比效果

目的:对比组合式外固定器与内固定技术在复杂四肢骨折患者中的效果。方法:选取2021年4月—2023年4月漳州市中医院收治的88例复杂四肢骨折患者作为研究对象,依据治疗方案不同分为研究组与对照组,每组各44例。研究组行组合式外固定器治疗,对照组行内固定技术治疗,比较两组手术效果、并发症状况以及围术期疼痛度、创伤应激情况。结果:研究组手术总有效率高于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05);研究组术后1 d、3 d、7 d的视觉模拟量表(VAS)评分均低于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05);研究组术后6个月上肢与下肢Fugel-Meyer运动功能评定(FMA)评分均高于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05);研究组术后3 d血清肾上腺素(E)、去甲肾上腺素(NE)、皮质醇(Cor)水平均低于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05);研究组并发症发生率低于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论:组合式外固定器应用于复杂四肢骨折患者中,可有效改善手术效果,缓解术后疼痛度,有助于肢体功能恢复,抑制创伤应激,并保障其安全性。

儿童腺样体肥大中医病因病机及治疗进展探讨

腺样体肥大(adenoid hypertrophy,AH)是常见的儿童五官科疾病,多因过敏、反复感染等导致,久而失治可导致睡眠呼吸障碍、生长发育等问题。阐明AH的病因病机对提高中医临证辨治至关重要。该文系统总结近年来AH相关中医研究,在古代医家脾虚、痰湿、风热论治的基础上,将其病因病机进一步总结为脏腑虚损兼夹外邪、肺脾肾不足、痰湿阻窍、痰瘀互结等;总体而言,以虚为本、痰瘀为标。治疗上,以补虚泻实为主,或分期而治,或运脾补肺、清热化痰,化痰散瘀通窍贯穿始终,配合推拿、中药雾化、灼烙、熏鼻、雷火灸、点刺刮痧等特色外治,以期综合调理本虚标实之机。通过系统综述AH相关中医病因病机及治疗现状,旨在加深中医治疗AH的认识与思考,为AH的中医综合治疗提供理论依据。

影响植物蛋白溶解性内外因素研究现状

植物蛋白具有资源丰富、营养价值优良、价格低廉、环境污染小的优点,是十分优质的食品加工原辅料。但大部分植物蛋白水溶性较差,应用于水基食品中常存在产品稳定性差、易沉淀、口感不佳的缺陷,在实际生产加工中应用受限。植物蛋白精深加工产业发展不足,大量蛋白质资源仅用作饲料或肥料,不仅资源浪费极大且污染环境。目前,随着植物基产品的不断发展,关于植物蛋白溶解度及增溶技术的相关研究逐渐成为热点,并取得一定进展,但相关内容及研究结果的综合论述较少。因此,该文旨在综述影响植物蛋白溶解性的内外因素,并整理提高溶解度的相关技术,以期为植物蛋白增溶技术发展及植物蛋白产品研发提供理论参考。
