Landscape Renovation Design of Changle Commercial Pedestrian Mall in Yangling District

Taking Changle Pedestrian Mall in Yangling District for example,design of infrastructure and relevant factors of pedestrian mall were elaborated according to the contents and principles of pedestrian mall landscape design.In view of problems in the landscape construction of Changle Pedestrian Mall,suggestions were given as the reference for landscape design of commercial pedestrian mall.

Contribution of mixed commercial starter cultures to the quality improvement of fish-chili paste,a Chinese traditional fermented condiment

This study evaluated the effects of commercial starter cultures on the microbial counts,protein degradation,biogenic amines and volatile compounds in fermented fish-chili paste.Four inoculated groups with different starter cultures and one group without inoculation were investigated.The results revealed that the application of mixed starter cultures promoted the growth of lactic acid bacteria and yeast,while effectively inhibited the Enterbacteriaceae counts compared with the spontaneously fermented group.The inoculation with mixed starter cultures resulted in higher levels of umami-tasting free amino acids(FAAs)in all inoculated groups.Highest content of sweet-tasting FAAs was found in group HS(Pichia anomala+Staphylococcus xylosus+Staphylococcus carnosus+Pediococcus pentosaceus+Pediococcus acidilactici),and much lower bitter-tasting components were presented in group HW(Pichia anomala+Staphylococcus xylosus+Staphylococcus carnosus),HS and HV(Pichia anomala+Lactobacillus plantarum).In addition,total levels of biogenic amines detected in all inoculated samples were significantly lower compared with control,especially the content of tyramine(P<0.05).For the volatile compounds,more esters as well as less undesirable odor substances such as aldehydes,were exhibited in four inoculated groups.

Presenting an Artificial Dilemma for the Working Class： On the Narrative Strategy of The Road as a =National Epic＂

A new trend has emerged in Chinese film over the past two decades in which the story of the working class has been narrated aimed at an authentic representation of the nation＇s socialist past, against the general demonization of the Maoist era. Still, there are a number of problems existed in this cinematic ＂new wave.＂ This paper analyzes a recent example of this tide, The Road （Fangxiang zhi lii, 2006）, and its implications. A careful examination of the film＇s narrative strategy reveals that it is oftentimes entrenched in the bourgeois ideology of ＂human nature,＂ which circumscribes its intended agenda of making a genuine reflection on the past and present of Chinese workers. On the surface, this film offers a positive image of the Maoist period by presenting a vivacious revolutionary work ethic in the female protagonist and her master. However, on a deeper level, the film only gives an impression of pity for this wretched workwoman who has completely wasted her life. Her ＂human nature＂ has been distorted by her socialist work ethic that had been inscribed with imprints of Maoism. In the mean time, the movie＇s repetition of political clich6s against revolutionary discourse, and an artificial binarity between socialism and commercial culture, bring out the real effect that rather than departing from stereotypes, it in effect merely perpetuates the popular narrative that has come to stigmatize the Maoist era. By this strategy, the film also evades the responsibility of accounting for the real reason for the gigantic social-political transformation.
