How Emotion Nurtures Mentality:The Influencing Mechanism of Social-Emotional Competency on the Mental Health of University Students

Social-Emotional Competency(SEC),regarded as a critical psychological resource for individuals to adapt to social environments,is an effective protective factor for students’mental health,impacting their future success and well-being.Analyzing the impact of SEC on university students’mental health can offer valuable insights for nurturing talents with healthy psychological and physical development.Based on data from two large-scale surveys of Chinese university students,this study designed two comprehensive Multiple Mediation Models involving SEC,stress,coping strategies,and stress reaction to explore the pathway of emotion nurturing mentality.Study 1 utilized a parallel mediation model to examine the relationships between SEC,academic stress,interpersonal stress,and stress reactions.The results indicated that SEC negatively predicted academic stress,interpersonal stress,and stress reactions.Additionally,academic and interpersonal stress mediated the relationships between SEC and stress reactions in parallel.Extending these findings,Study 2 further investigated the role of coping strategies.By constructing a multiple-chain mediation model,it examined the predictive relationships among SEC,academic stress,interpersonal stress,three types of coping strategies,and stress reactions.The findings indicated that SEC negatively predicted stress,problemavoiding strategy,and stress reactions,while positively predicting problem-solving and assistant-seeking strategies.Furthermore,the two stress types and three coping strategies significantly mediated the relationship between SEC and stress reactions.This indicated that higher SEC was associated with reduced stress and more adaptive coping strategies and subsequently contributed to more favorable stress reactions.This research explored the impact of university students’SEC on mental health and its relational mechanisms,aiming to provide theoretical reference and practical insights for future efforts in cultivating SEC among university students to adjust academic and interpersonal stress,to enhance problem-solving and stress resistance capabilities,and to maintain their mental health.

A Study of Innovative College English Teaching Model for Global Competence

Against the backdrop of globalization and deepening international cooperation,countries are putting forward higher demands on the global competence of talents.In this context,college English teaching,as an important part of the higher education system,faces the challenge of cultivating globally competent talents.This study analyzes the core components of global competence through literature review,analyzes the deficiencies in existing college English teaching,and aims to explore and construct a college English teaching model that is compatible with the global competence framework.This study explores how to integrate global competency development into college English teaching from three aspects:curriculum content,teaching methodology,and assessment system.We expect that the proposed teaching model can effectively improve students’English application skills,intercultural communication skills,and critical thinking skills,so as to better meet the demand for global competence in the context of globalization.

Analysis of The Impact of The Healthcare Roundtable Model on the Major Disease Perceptions and Competencies of Cardiovascular Medicine Nursing Staff

Objective: To analyze the impact of the healthcare roundtable model on the major disease perceptions and competencies of cardiovascular nursing staff. Methods: Forty female nursing staff working in the hospital from April to June 2023 were selected and were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 20 in each group. For 60 days, the control group used the conventional learning and communication model and the observation group used the medical and nursing roundtable model. The cognitive scores of cardiovascular disease-related knowledge, competency scores, and satisfaction with the learning and communication model before and after the implementation of the model in both groups were compared. Results: After the implementation, the cognitive scores related to cardiovascular disease-related knowledge, competency scores, and satisfaction with the learning and communication model in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The healthcare roundtable model improved the knowledge and competence of cardiovascular internal medicine nursing staff in major diseases, and it is worth popularizing.

Teaching Reform Based on the Competency Model for Software Engineering-related Courses

This paper explores the reform and practice of software engineering-related courses based on the competency model of the Computing Curricula,and proposes some measures of teaching reform and talent cultivation in software engineering.The teaching reform emphasizes student-centered education,and focuses on the cultivation and enhancement of students’knowledge,skills,and dispositions.Based on the three elements of the competency model,specific measures of teaching reform are proposed for some professional courses in software engineering,to strengthen course relevance,improve knowledge systems,reform practical modes with a focus on skill development,and cultivate good dispositions through student-centered education.The teaching reform’s attempts and practice are conducted in some courses such as Advanced Web Technologies,Software Engineering,and Intelligent Terminal Systems and Application Development.Through the analysis and comparison of the implementation effects,significant improvements are observed in teaching effectiveness,students’mastery of knowledge and skills are noticeably improved,and the expected goals of the teaching reform are achieved.

Inference for accelerated bivariate dependent competing risks model based on Archimedean copulas under progressive censoring

Dependent competing risks model is a practical model in the analysis of lifetime and failure modes.The dependence can be captured using a statistical tool to explore the re-lationship among failure causes.In this paper,an Archimedean copula is chosen to describe the dependence in a constant-stress accelerated life test.We study the Archimedean copula based dependent competing risks model using parametric and nonparametric methods.The parametric likelihood inference is presented by deriving the general expression of likelihood function based on assumed survival Archimedean copula associated with the model parameter estimation.Combining the nonparametric estimation with progressive censoring and the non-parametric copula estimation,we introduce a nonparametric reliability estimation method given competing risks data.A simulation study and a real data analysis are conducted to show the performance of the estimation methods.

中国对东盟货物贸易出口波动的影响因素研究——基于改进的CMS模型实证分析

推动外贸稳规模、优结构,对推动高质量发展具有重要支撑作用。为了能够更好地研究贸易结构变化对中国出口的影响,文章对CMS模型进口需求结构效应和出口结构效应及两者细分效应的算法进行了调整,并运用改进的CMS模型对中国出口波动的影响因素进行实证分析。同时为了研究各影响因素在重要时期对中国出口的影响,文章将研究周期设定为2008—2022年,包括了全球金融危机和新冠疫情等重大事件。研究发现:(1)中国对东盟商品出口规模大幅增长,主要得益于进口需求规模扩大、出口整体竞争力提升,以及两者交互作用的整体交互效应。在结构上表现为进口需求结构效应显著促进出口,出口结构效应抑制出口的特征。(2)出口结构效应抑制出口主要是因为我国出口集中在出口效应较低的国家和商品上。(3)在东盟面临危机时,需求驱动的增长模式和本来就抑制出口的出口结构,对中国出口的负面影响更加明显。因此,为了促进中国对东盟出口平稳增长,需要推动传统产业转型升级和大力发展战略性新兴产业,来提高中国商品出口竞争力;充分利用好RCEP减税和原产地累积等规则挖掘商机;积极推进中国—东盟自由贸易区3.0版谈判,全面提升中国—东盟经贸制度型开放水平,在数字经济和绿色能源经济等领域加强与东盟的合作,培育双边贸易新的增长点。

中国内地对台湾地区出口的影响因素分析——基于CMS模型

本文选取联合国贸易2002-2022年中国内地对台湾地区水产品出口贸易数据,运用CMS模型对中国内地水产品出口到台湾地区的影响因素进行两个层次的分析。结果表明:1.2002-2022年期间,中国内地对台湾地区水产品的出口呈现“缓增-激增-跌落”三个阶段,对台主要出口甲壳软体制品、鲜冷甲壳及软体类、生鲜冷冻鱼和鱼制品四类水产品。2.在2002-2022年期间的三个阶段中,竞争力效应和第二层次分解的综合竞争力效应是影响中国内地对台湾地区水产品出口的主导因素。3.在2018-2022年阶段台湾地区水产品进口规模扩大,但是中国内地水产品在台湾地区市场上的市场份额却降低。再此基础上,提出促进两岸水产品贸易相应的对策建议。

The Impact of Street Interviews on Chinese EFL Undergraduates’Intercultural Communicative Competence

The study adopts Byram’s Intercultural Communicative Competence(ICC)model as the theoretical framework,and structured interviews were conducted to explore the impact of street interviews on the participants’ICC.Analysis results revealed street interviews help students acquire knowledge in intercultural attitudes,intercultural knowledge,skills of discovery and interaction,and critical cultural awareness,aligning with the four components of Byram’s ICC model.Meanwhile,they have positive perceptions of street interviews.Therefore,street interviews have a positive effect on the development of participants’ICC.

中国进口中东欧国家农产品影响因素研究——基于CMS模型的因素分解及测算

为探索中国进口中东欧国家农产品贸易波动的影响因素,扩大中国自中东欧国家农产品进口,本研究基于2012—2021年联合国商品贸易统计数据库(UN Comtrade)数据,运用修正的恒定市场份额(CMS)模型,从结构效应、竞争力效应和交叉效应3个方面对中国进口中东欧双方农产品贸易的影响因素进行分解。CMS模型为评估中国进口中东欧国家农产品市场份额的变化、揭示中东欧国家在中国进口市场中的竞争地位变化提供了一个研究框架。本研究深入探讨了中国进口中东欧国家商品和服务结构的调整,审视了从中东欧国家进口的产品和服务类型的演变。结果显示:增长效应是影响中东欧国家对中国出口农产品的首要因素,表明中国农产品需求扩张是中国进口中东欧农产品增长的重要推力;中国进口中东国家农产品结构效应在逐步降低,综合竞争力效应则在稳步上升;中东欧的出口结构稳定性较强,但交叉效应呈现负相关关系,克服交叉效应的阻碍作用是应对中东欧对中国出口份额减少的有效方法。最后,从拓展市场增长点、优化产品结构、提高产品市场竞争力、推进多边合作等方面提出了促进中国和中东欧国家农产品贸易的对策建议。

为探索中国与中东欧国家高技术产品贸易的波动影响因素,深化中国与中东欧国家贸易合作,文章基于2012-2021年九大类高技术产品贸易数据,运用恒定市场模型(CMS)分析方法,对中国与中东欧国家高技术产品贸易波动影响因素进行分解和测算。结果显示:中东欧国家对高技术产品市场需求是促进中国对中东欧国家高技术产品出口的首要因素,而中国的高技术产品出口结构与中东欧国家进口结构互补性较低。中东欧国家高技术产品的竞争力促进了中国从中东欧国家进口,但随着时间迁移,中东欧国家高技术产品在中国市场竞争力在减弱。中国进口需求结构与中东欧国家出口结构互补性较低,但自2012年中国与中东欧国家合作机制建立以后,互补性有所提升。

Analysis of Factors Influencing the Growth of Export of Agricultural Products in Yunnan Province: An Empirical Study Based on CMS Model

Yunnan Province is the bridgehead for the opening of the southwest region in China,and the economic frontier of China-ASEAN economic cooperation,where the export of agricultural products plays an important role in promoting the openness of the southwest region and strengthening China-ASEAN economic cooperation.In this paper,we use CMS model to analyze causes of the increase in the exports of agricultural products in Yunnan Province during the period 2001-2010.It is found that the expanded import scale of agricultural products in the world,improvement in the export competitiveness of products and the adaption of product export structure to the changes in the structure of world import demand,are the main factors responsible for increase in the exports of agricultural products in Yunnan Province.In recent years, the improvement of competitiveness of the export of agricultural products becomes a key factor for the growth of the export of agricultural products in Yunnan Province.In terms of the products classified,strong export competitiveness has promoted the export of plant products,such as beverages and tobacco,while weak export competitiveness and unreasonable export structure has impeded the export of animal products,plant and animal oil and fat products.

Statistical inference for dependence competing risks model under middle censoring

Middle censoring is an important censoring scheme,in which the actual failure data of an observation becomes unobservable if it falls into a random interval. This paper considers the statistical analysis of the dependent competing risks model by using the Marshall-Olkin bivariate Weibull(MOBW) distribution.The maximum likelihood estimations(MLEs), midpoint approximation(MPA) estimations and approximate confidence intervals(ACIs) of the unknown parameters are obtained. In addition, the Bayes approach is also considered based on the Gamma-Dirichlet prior of the scale parameters, with the given shape parameter.The acceptance-rejection sampling method is used to obtain the Bayes estimations and construct credible intervals(CIs). Finally,two numerical examples are used to show the performance of the proposed methods.

Subcutaneous Model for the Study of Dengue Virus Infection in Immune Competent Mice

Various mouse models to study dengue have been described by different authors, some of them using immunodeficient or some using humanized mice. Our group reported previously a deadly murine model, which used the intracranial inoculum of highly virulent Dengue virus (DENV) in immune competent mouse. Here we present a model of immune competent mouse (C57BL/6), infected subcutaneously by the same highly virulent DENV (DENV3 genotype I). In this immunocompetent systemic mice model, the cytokine levels and hematological parameters such as total and differential leukocyte and platelets counts, together with weight loss, were considered important monitoring parameters, allowing a better understanding of the systemic human disease. Mice were inoculated subcutaneously and evaluated by the percentage weight variation as well as the clinical signs. Hematological parameters and cytokines levels were measured and viral titration in brain tissue or serum neutralization was performed to confirm mice infection. The subcutaneously DENV inoculated mice showed weight loss after infection, but they did not show any other clinical signs. The leukocytes and platelets decreased after subcutaneous inoculation. The cytokines TNF alpha and IFN gamma increased after infection in mice. The subcutaneous model provided scope for improved understanding of the dengue pathogenesis, as well as possible mechanism for protection to subsequent mouse infected by intracranial route in mice. This model could be used to study the vertebrate immune response and evaluation of drugs or vaccine against dengue virus.

Observed communication between oncologists and patients:A causal model of communication competence

AIM: To investigate and test a causal model derived from previous meta-analytic data of health provider behaviors and patient satisfaction.METHODS: A literature search was conducted for relevant manuscripts that met the following criteria: Reported an analysis of provider-patient interaction in the context of an oncology interview; the study had to measure at least two of the variables of interest to the model(provider activity,provider patient-centered communication,provider facilitative communication,patient activity,patient involvement,and patient satisfaction or reduced anxiety); and the information had to be reported in a manner that permitted the calculation of a zero-order correlation between at least two of the variables under consideration.Data were transformed into correlation coefficients and compiled to produce the correlation matrix used for data analysis.The test of the causal model is a comparison of the expected correlation matrix generated using an Ordinary Least Squares method of estimation.The expected matrix iscompared to the actual matrix of zero order correlation coefficients.A model is considered a possible fit if the level of deviation is less than expected due to random sampling error as measured by a chi-square statistic.The significance of the path coefficients was tested using a z test.Lastly,the Sobel test provides a test of the level of mediation provided by a variable and provides an estimate of the level of mediation for each connection.Such a test is warranted in models with multiple paths.RESULTS: A test of the original model indicated a lack of fit with the summary data.The largest discrepancy in the model was between the patient satisfaction and the provider patient-centered utterances.The observed correlation was far larger than expected given a mediated relationship.The test of a modified model was undertaken to determine possible fit.The corrected model provides a fit to within tolerance as evaluated by the test statistic,χ2(8,average n = 342) = 10.22.Each of the path coefficients for the model reveals that each one can be considered significant,P < 0.05.The Sobel test examining the impact of the mediating variables demonstrated that patient involvement is a significant mediator in the model,Sobel statistic = 3.56,P < 0.05.Patient active was also demonstrated to be a significant mediator in the model,Sobel statistic = 4.21,P < 0.05.The statistics indicate that patient behavior mediates the relationship between provider behavior and patient satisfaction with the interaction.CONCLUSION: The results demonstrate empirical support for the importance of patient-centered care and satisfy the need for empirical casual support of provider-patient behaviors on health outcomes.

Dependence Model Selection for Semi-Competing Risks Data

We consider the model selection problem of the dependency between the?terminal event and the non-terminal event under semi-competing risks data. When the relationship between the two events is unspecified, the inference on the non-terminal event is not identifiable. We cannot make inference on the non-terminal event without extra assumptions. Thus, an association model for?semi-competing risks data is necessary, and it is important to select an appropriate dependence model for a data set. We construct the likelihood function for semi-competing risks data to select an appropriate dependence model. From?simulation studies, it shows the performance of the proposed approach is well. Finally, we apply our method to a bone marrow transplant data set.

Competency Driven Resource Evaluation Method for Business Process Intelligence

Enterprises are continuously aiming at improving the execution of processes to achieve a competitive edge.One of the established ways of improving process performance is to assign the most appropriate resources to each task of the process.However,evaluations of business process improvement approaches have established that a method that can guide decision-makers to identify the most appropriate resources for a task of process improvement in a structured way,is missing.It is because the relationship between resources and tasks is less understood and advancement in business process intelligence is also ignored.To address this problem an integrated resource classification framework is presenting that identifies competence,suitability,and preference as the relationship of task with resources.But,only the competence relationship of human resources with a task is presented in this research as a resource competence model.Furthermore,the competency calculation method is presented as a user guider layer for business process intelligencebased resource competence evaluation.The computed capabilities serve as a basic input for choosing the most appropriate resources for each task of the process.Applicability of method is illustrated through a heathcare case study.
