In this paper, global synchronization of general delayed complex networks with stochastic disturbances, which is a zero-mean real scalar Wiener process, is investigated. The networks under consideration are continuous-time networks with time-varying delay. Based on the stochastic Lyapunov stability theory, Ito's differential rule and the linear matrix inequality (LMI) optimization technique, several delay-dependent synchronous criteria are established, which guarantee the asymptotical mean-square synchronization of drive networks and response networks with stochastic disturbances. The criteria are expressed in terms of LMI, which can be easily solved using the Matlab LMI Control Toolbox. Finally, two examples show the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed synchronous conditions. 展开更多

Synergistic effects of tropical cyclones on forest ecosystems:a global synthesis 被引量:2

Tropical cyclones are large-scale strong wind disturbance events that occur frequently in tropical and subtropical coastal regions and often bring catastrophic physical destruction to ecosystems and economic disruption to societies along their paths. Major tropical cyclones can infrequently move into the midaltitudes and inland areas. Ecologically, tropical cyclones have profound impacts on diversity, structure, succession and function of forest ecosystems. The ecological effects are both dramatic and subtle. The dramatic effects can be visible, noticeable and to some extent predictable over the short-term and relatively well documented in the literature. However, the subtle effects are often invisible, complex and at smaller scale relatively unpredictable in the long-term. Many factors, meteorologic, topographic and biologic, simultaneously interact to influence the complexity of patterns of damage and dynamics of recovery. I present a global synthesis on the effects of tropical cyclones on forest ecosystems and the complexity of forest responses, with particular attention on the response to large hurricanes in the neotropics and the temperate North America, and strong typhoons on the subtropical and temperate forests in the East and Southeast Asia. Four major aspects provide on organizational framework for this synthesis:(1) consistent damage patterns,(2) factors that influence response patterns and predict damage risks,(3) complexity of forest responses and recovery, and(4) the long-term effects. This review reveals highly variable and complex effects of tropical cyclones on forest ecosystems. A deep understanding of the synergistic effects of tropical cyclones is essential for effective forest management and biodiversity conservation. 展开更多

The Safety of The Intended Functionality(SOTIF)challenge represents the triggering condition by elements of a specific scenario and exposes the function limitation of an autonomous vehicle(AV),which leads to hazards.As for operationcontent-related features,the scenario is similar to AVs’SOTIF research and development.Therefore,scenario generation is a significant topic for SOTIF verification and validation procedure,especially in the simulation testing of AVs.Thus,in this paper,a well-designed scenario architecture is first defined,with comprehensive scenario elements,to present SOTIF trigger conditions.Then,considering complex traffic disturbance as trigger conditions,a novel SOTIF scenario generation method is developed.An indicator,also known as Scenario Potential Risk,is defined as the combination of the safety control intensity and the prior collision probability.This indicator helps identify critical scenarios in the proposed method.In addition,the corresponding vehicle motion models are established for general straight roads,curved roads,and safety assessment areas.As for the traffic participants’motion model,it is designed to construct the key dynamic events.To efficiently search for critical scenarios with the trigger of complex traffic flow,this scenario is encoded as genes and it is regenerated through selection,mutation,and crossover iteration processes,known as the Genetic Algorithm(GA).Experimental results show that the GA-based method could efficiently construct diverse and critical traffic scenarios,contributing to the construction of the SOTIF scenario library. 展开更多

The network under consideration contains unknown but bounded nonlinear coupling functions, time-varying delay, external distur- bances, and lt6-type stochastic disturbances, which is a zero-mean real scalar Wiener process. Based on the stochastic Lyapunov stability theory, Ito's differential rule, and linear matrix inequality (LMI) optimization technique, some delay-dependent H∞ synchro- nization schemes are established, which guarantee robust stochas- tically mean square asymptotically synchronization for drive net- work and noise-perturbed response network as well as achieving a prescribed stochastic robust H∞ performance level. Finally, de- tailed and satisfactory numerical results have validated the feasi- bility and the correctness of the proposed techniques. 展开更多
