One of them is thought to be the concept of “family caring” aimed at families. This study attempts to clarify family caring and develop Family Care/ Caring Theory (FCCT), with the aim of implementing it in conjunction with an existing family nursing theory, the Concentric Sphere Family Environment Theory (CSFET). In Japan and in Hong Kong, family ethnography (including formal interviews) was conducted. As a result, the item “family health care nurses and their colleagues” was added to the family external environment of the CSFET. In the family environment, evidence was obtained to the effect that the family system unit is cared for by the nursing professional, and conversely the family system unit cares for the nursing professional, in a circular transaction. Observing the two-dimensional plane formed by the structural distance and functional distance, family caring assumes a structure of concentric circles, and according to transactions, the structural distance and functional distance between the nursing professional and family system unit are gradually approached, and through deepening of mutual trust maintain an appropriate distance. Moreover observing the three-dimensional space-time continuum which is created through addition of the temporal distance, family caring forms a helical structure. As transactions are repeated along the temporal axis, the family system unit’s self-actualization of other individuals and the self-actualization of the nursing professional are realized. Through these processes, a family care/caring relationship is reinforced and established. This is the concept of FCCT. Through future utilization in clinical settings this will be empirically substantiated, and it will be necessary to continue making creative corrections and revisions.展开更多

With tensor analysis, the problem is reduced to an energy functional isoperimetric problem when neglecting the effects of the dissipative energy caused by viscosity. We derive the associated Euler-Lagrangian equation, which is a nonlinear elliptic boundary value problem of the second order. Moreover, by considering the effects of the dissipative energy, we propose another total energy functional to characterize the geometric shape of the interface, and obtain the corresponding Euler-Lagrangian equation, which is also a nonlinear elliptic boundary value problem of the second order. Thus, the problem of the geometric shape is converted into a nonlinear boundary value problem of the second order in both cases.展开更多

Characteristic appearance can be seen as "bulb eye" or "onion bulb". The initial terminology for this neurological disorder was leukoencephalitis periaxialis concentrica; this is defined as a disease in which the white matter of the brain is destroyed in concentric layers in such a way as to leave the axial cylinders intact. This report presents a case of BCS with spontaneous healing of the patient and a mass lesion with concentric rings adjacent to the left lateral ventricle and the posterior portion of the corpus callosum with peripheral vasogenic edema. The neurological lesion of the patient was similar to the magnetic resonance imaging and clinical findings of the BCS.展开更多

It is a malignanttumor of the head and neck. Concentric tube robot (CTR), as it can form a complicated shape and access hardto-reach lesions, is often used in minimally invasive surgeries. However, some CTRs are bulky because of theirtransmission design. In this paper, a light CTR based on double-threaded helical gear tube is proposed. Sucha CTR is less cumbersome than the traditional CTR as its actuation unit is compact and miniaturized. Themapping relationship between the gear tube attitude and motor output angle is obtained by kinematic analysis. The precision, stability, and repeatability of the driving mechanism are tested. The experimental results showthat the positioning error in the translation test is less than 0.3 mm, the rolling angle error in the stability testis less than 0.6◦, and the error in the translation repeatability test is less than 0.005 mm. Finally, a tip-targetingtest is performed using the new CTR, which verifies the feasibility of the CTR for surgeries.展开更多

The numerical results show a good agreement with the experimental data in regard to the axial velocity of the flow. This study focuses on the flow structure and the hydrodynamic characteristics based on the velocity distribution, the pressure distribution, streamlines and vectors under I-D, 2-D and 3-D condi- tions. Meanwhile, some global parameters including the pressure coefficient, the drag coefficient and the lift coefficient are analyzed. Numerical results show that the high velocity region and the reverse wake zone with low velocity exist in some spaces due to the disturbance of the cylindrical body. Negative pressures appear in some regions. Neither a wide area vortex nor the vortex shedding appears in the wall-bounded domain. The drag along the axial direction is the main force acting on the cylindrical body in the pipe domain. The annulus flow around the cylindrical body is analyzed to reveal the hydrodynamic characteristics of the complex turbule- nt concentric annulus flow field due to the multi-effects in the pipeline.展开更多

Numerical results show that a reversing zone, appearing as a tongue zone with nested velocities higher than the surrounding area, exists behind the cylindrical body. The annulus space is a region of high velocity and low pressure. The zero velocity, of combined the X- velocity and the Y- velocity, exists in the cross sections and no vortex shedding is formed behind the attaching cylinders. Among all investigated effecting factors, the diameters of the attaching and the main cylinders affect the wake feature behind the cylindrical body while the main cylinder length does not affect the distribution tendency of the flow field. The diameters of the main cylinder and the pipe affect the pressure values and the distribution tendencies on the main cylinder surface. Obviously, the increase of the pipe diameter reduces the drag coefficient of the cylindrical body and the increase of the diameter of the main cylinder increases the drag coefficient greatly. The numerical investigation of the concentric annulus flow provides foundations for further improvements of the intricate flow studies.展开更多

Although concentric needle (CN) electrodes have been used to assess jitter in myasthenia gravis patients and healthy controls, there are few reports using CN electrodes to assess motor unit instability and denervation in neurogenic diseases. The aim of this study was to determine whether quantitative changes in jitter and spike number using CN electrodes could be used for ALS studies. Methods: Twenty-seven healthy controls and 23 ALS patients were studied using both CN and single-fiber needle (SFN) electrodes on the extensor digitorum communis muscle with an SFEMG program. The SFN-jitter and SFN-fiber density data were measured using SFN electrodes. The CN-jitter and spike number were measured using CN electrodes. Results: The mean CN-j itter was significantly increased in ALS patients (47.3 ±17.0 μs) than in healthy controls (27.4 ± 3.3 las) (P 〈 0.001 ). Besides, the mean spike number was significantly increased in ALS patients (2.5 ± 0.5) than in healthy controls (1.7 ± 0.3) (P 〈 0.001). The sensitivity and specificity in the diagnosis of ALS were 82.6% and 92.6% for CN-jitter (cut-offvalue: 32 gs), and 91.3% and 96.3% for the spike number (cut-off value: 2.0), respectively. There was no significant difference between the SFN-jitter and CN-jitter in ALS patients; meanwhile, there was no significant difference between the SFN-jitter and CN-jitter in healthy controls. Conclusion: CN-jitter and spike number could be used to quantitatively evaluate changes due to denervation-reinnervation in ALS.展开更多

The formulas can be used to analyse the behavior of unsteady flow of viscoelastic fluid in annular pipe, especially to analyse the flow character of double-gap concentric cylinder rheometer. It is found by computation that when the outer cylinder is in simple periodic motion, there are step junctions along the history curve of Maxwell fluid’s velocity and shear stress, and at step junctions both amplitude and phase of oscillatory wave vary sharply; when the outer cylinder makes uniform rotation, the velocity and shear stress of Maxwell fluid exhibit rhombic wave oscillation, and its period is in close parabolic relation with material constant H.展开更多

文摘High pressure is an important development orientation in pneumatic field, since it can not only improve dynamic characteristics of pneumatic system but also decrease the size of components and mounting space.Due to the advantages of high energy density and high instant expansibility, high pressure gas has been widely used in many applications. However, systematic researches are lacked especially in pressure characteristics which are very important in pneumatic system at present. In a high pressure pneumatic system, the pressure of a fixed cavity with annular clearance needs to be controlled within a wide range,so a single stage proportional slide valve is proposed to satisfy the requirements of high pressure and low flow rate.First, working principle and structure of the pressure assembly and the slide valve are introduced. Then mathematical model of the high pressure pneumatic system is built up;controllable pressure range is simulated, and influence of uncertain factors, such as fit clearance of the pressure valve and the cavity on controllable pressure,is discussed. Finally,a test bench of the pressure assembly is built up,and the controllable pressure and step response experiments are carried out. Both simulation and experimental results show that the designed slide valve can satisfy the requirements well. The proposed clearance presumption method based on simulation and experimental results is valuable for indirect measurement of processing tolerance.

文摘In order to reduce the randomness of the occurrence of cracks and shorten the long cracking time in the traditional concentric ring tests, the elliptical ring test, the square-eccentric ring test, and the eccentric ring test have been gradually developed. In this paper,we reported experiments on the eccentric ring test and concentric ring test that were carried out to compare the differences between the two methods. It is found that an increase in the water-cement ratio and the amount of aggregate will increase the cracking time. However,a more obvious cracking tendency of cement-based materials can be seen in the eccentric ring test. The correlation between humidity and strain was established by the use of the Kelvin equation and the Laplace equation so that the coupling analysis of humidity and strain during the drying process of cement-based materials could be determined. The experimental results show that the external surface humidity will decrease rapidly in the early stage of drying, while the interior areas of the cement-based materials decrease more slowly. The closer to the inner circle will decrease the humidity slowly.

文摘In this paper, the shape problem of interface of bicomponent flows between two concentric rotating cylinders is investigated. Thus, the problem of the geometric shape is converted into a nonlinear boundary value problem of the second order in both cases.

文摘A concentric gravity wave event was captured by a photographer in NagarzêCounty(90.28°N,28.33°E)between 02:00 and 04:00(local time)on May 11,2019.This concentric gravity wave event was also observed by the Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership satellite and the all-sky airglow imager at Yangbajing station(90.5°E,30.1°N).The temporal and spatial information on gravity waves from the photographs provided a rare opportunity to study the propagation of gravity waves over the Tibetan Plateau.According to wind and temperature data from the MERRA-2 reanalysis(Modern-Era Retrospective analysis for Research and Applications,Version 2)and empirical models(NRLMSISE-00[Naval Research Laboratory Mass Spectrometer and Incoherent Scatter Radar Exosphere]and HWM[horizontal wind model]),we inversely derived the propagation trajectory from the observed wave pattern to the source region by using the ray-tracing method. The source of the concentric gravity wave was identified as deep convection in Bangladesh(90.6°E,25.0°N).The maximum background wind speed in the propagation direction(31.05 m/s)was less than the phase speed of 53 m/s,which is consistent with the wind-filtering theory.
文摘Balo's concentric sclerosis(BCS) is a rare monophasic demyelinating disease known as multiple sclerosis subtype and seen as a round lesion with variable hyper and hypodetoxification layers. The neurological lesion of the patient was similar to the magnetic resonance imaging and clinical findings of the BCS.

文摘Nasopharyngeal carcinoma is a malignant tumor originating from the nasal mucosa. Finally, a tip-targetingtest is performed using the new CTR, which verifies the feasibility of the CTR for surgeries.

文摘This study investigates the effect of the initial tropical cyclone(TC)vortex structure on the intensity change during the eyewall replacement cycle(ERC)of TCs based on two idealized simulations using the Weather Research and Forecasting(WRF)model. Results show that an initially smaller TC with weaker outer winds experienced a much more drastic intensity change during the ERC than an initially larger TC with stronger outer winds. It is found that an initially larger TC vortex with stronger outer winds favored the development of more active spiral rainbands outside the outer eyewall, which slowed down the contraction and intensification of the outer eyewall and thus prolonged the duration of the concentric eyewall and slow intensity evolution. In contrast, the initially smaller TC with weaker outer winds corresponded to higher inertial stability in the inner core and weaker inertial stability but stronger filamentation outside the outer eyewall. These led to stronger boundary layer inflow, stronger updraft and convection in the outer eyewall, and suppressed convective activity outside the outer eyewall. These resulted in the rapid weakening during the formation of the outer eyewall, followed by a rapid re-intensification of the TC during the ERC.Our study demonstrates that accurate initialization of the TC structure in numerical models is crucial for predicting changes in TC intensity during the ERC.Additionally, monitoring the activity of spiral rainbands outside the outer eyewall can help to improve short-term intensity forecasts for TCs experiencing ERCs.

文摘Concentric annulus flow around a combinational cylindrical body with a special array of cylinders at five high Reynolds numbers is investigated numerically using Fluent 6.3.26 in this paper. The annulus flow around the cylindrical body is analyzed to reveal the hydrodynamic characteristics of the complex turbule- nt concentric annulus flow field due to the multi-effects in the pipeline.

文摘This paper studies the wall-bounded flow around a cylindrical at a high Reynolds numbers body in a determined computational domain, with simulations of the 3-D, turbulent concentric annulus flow in a straight pipe. The numerical investigation of the concentric annulus flow provides foundations for further improvements of the intricate flow studies.
文摘Background: Single-fiber electromyography (SFEMG) has been suggested as a quantitative method for supporting chronic partial denervation in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) by the revised El Escorial criteria. Conclusion: CN-jitter and spike number could be used to quantitatively evaluate changes due to denervation-reinnervation in ALS.
文摘An analytical solution to annular pipe flow of the second fluid and Maxwell fluid is given using Weber integral transform. The formulas can be used to analyse the behavior of unsteady flow of viscoelastic fluid in annular pipe, especially to analyse the flow character of double-gap concentric cylinder rheometer. It is found by computation that when the outer cylinder is in simple periodic motion, there are step junctions along the history curve of Maxwell fluid’s velocity and shear stress, and at step junctions both amplitude and phase of oscillatory wave vary sharply; when the outer cylinder makes uniform rotation, the velocity and shear stress of Maxwell fluid exhibit rhombic wave oscillation, and its period is in close parabolic relation with material constant H.

文摘Compared with changing the structure of a motor that has been manufactured, changing the type of stator winding is an economical and time-saving method to reduce the vibration and noise. Thus,a concentric single-double-layer star-delta(CSDLSD)winding for an induction motor is described in this paper with the aim of reducing the noise of the motor.By planning the turns relationship between the two parts of the winding, the harmonic component of the air-gap magnetic field can be decreased.Besides this, through adjusting the turns ratio in each slot of concentric winding per phase respectively, the waveform of the air-gap magnetic field becomes closer to a sinusoidal type.Three motors equipped with the CSDLSD winding and another two types of stator winding were analyzed. The theoretical analysis and the two-dimensional finite element method(2D-FEM)were combined to study the relationship between the harmonics of the air-gap magnetic field and the stator winding. Finally,a 2D fast Fourier transformation(2D-FFT)method was used to obtain the time-frequency spectrum of the air-gap flux density and electromagnetic excitation force, and compared with a natural vibration wave. The noise distribution was obtained using the harmonic response. The results of the theoretical analysis,2D-FEM,2D-FFT,and harmonic response corroborate each other such that the motor applying CSDLSD winding could reduce both the vibration and noise.
