Synchronization of N different coupled chaotic systems with ring and chain connections is investigated. The New system, the Chen system, the Lii system, the Lorenz system, and the Rossler system are used as examples in verifying effectiveness of the method. Based on the Lyapunov stability theory, the form of the controller is designed and the area of the coupling coefficients is determined. Simulations indicate that global synchronization of the N different chaotic systems can be realized by choosing appropriate coupling coefficients by using the controller. 展开更多

A new Zn(Ⅱ) coordination polymer, {[Zn(1,3-bip)(oba)]·0.5H2O}n(1),1,3-bip =1,3-bis(imidazole)propane, H2oba=4,4?-oxybis(benzoate)), have been synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, powder XRD, FTIR, TGA and elemental analysis techniques. The single-crystal X-ray diffraction reveals that complex 1 shows a 3D→3D twofold interpenetrating network that can be described as a 4-connected uninodal net with(65.8) topology. In addition, the photoluminescence property of complex 1 was also investigated at room temperature. 展开更多

Theory of polymer crystallization is listed as one of the top ten current challenges in polymer community.Clarifying the uniqueness of polymer crystallization should be the first step to search for the roadmap for targeting this challenge.Chain flexibility and connectivity are two peculiar characteristics of polymers,which differentiate their dynamics and structures from that of small molecules.The uniqueness of polymer crystallization must also stem from these two peculiar characteristics,which,however,has not been attracted significant attention.A local structure order may be essential in assisting the transformation of flexible chain to rigid segment with conformational ordering.The entanglement pressure and entanglement free energy may help to understand how entanglement affect nucleation in polymer network and why the interlamellar amorphous layer always accompany the formation of crystal layer.Some recommendations will be given for future study. 展开更多

Effective Algorithms to Detect Stepping-Stone Intrusion by Removing Outliers of Packet RTTs

An effective method to detect stepping-stone intrusion(SSI)is to estimate the length of a connection chain.This type of detection method is referred to as a network-based detection approach.Existing network-based SSI detection methods are either ineffective in the context of the Internet because of the presence of outliers in the packet round-trip times(RTTs)or inefficient,as many packets must be captured and processed.Because of the high fluctuation caused by the intermediate routers on the Internet,it is unavoidable that the RTTs of the captured packets contain outlier values.In this paper,we first propose an efficient algorithm to eliminate most of the possible RTT outliers of the packets captured in the Internet environment.We then develop an efficient SSI detection algorithm by mining network traffic using an improved version of k-Means clustering.Our proposed detection algorithm for SSI is accurate,effective,and efficient in the context of the Internet.Well-designed network experiments are conducted in the Internet environment to verify the effectiveness,correctness,and efficiency of our proposed algorithms.Our experiments show that the effective rate of our proposed SSI detection algorithm is higher than 85.7%in the context of the Internet. 展开更多
