The i...MXenes are a family of two-dimensional (2D) transition metal carbides, carbonitrides/nitrides with superior physical and chemical properties, which have attracted extensive attention since the discovery in 2011. The impressive electrochemical activity of MXene makes it one of the most potential electrode materials in rechargeable batteries and supercapacitors. However, single-component MXene electrodes are difficult to achieve high specific capacity, efficient ion/electron transport, and high stability compatibility in an electrochemical environment. Studies have shown that it is an effective method to introduce nanomaterials between MXene layers to construct heterostructures and to improve the electrochemical performance through the synergistic effect among the components in the heterostructures. The introduction of nanomaterials can effectively suppress the restacking of MXene nanosheets, shorten the diffusion path of ions and promote the electrolyte transport, which is beneficial to enhance the rate performance of MXene;moreover, the excellent mechanical flexibility of MXene can reduce the volume expansion of nanomaterials during charge/discharge, thereby effectively protecting the integrity of the electrode structure and improving the cycling stability. Therefore, in this review, combined with theoretical calculations, we summarize the recent advances of MXene heterostructures in terms of synthesis strategies and energy storage applications, including supercapacitors, metal-ions batteries (Li, Na, K, Mg, Zn, Al) and metal anode protection. Furthermore, potential challenges and application perspectives for MXene heterostructures are also outlined.展开更多

This is especially true in the Northern Shaanxi area where has harsh natural environmental conditions. Here, a number of mountain temples reflect the constructional wisdom of the ancient monks and conform to the Chinese classical garden. The space environment of Buddhist temples, Taoist temples and the celebrity temples tiiat are both in good condition and located in the mountainous envitonment are taken as the object of this research. In addition to the analysis of examples, a systematic review of the distribution, site selection and space construction of mountain temples in Northern Shaanxi is performed, to provide references for the space environment construction of modem temples or gardens.展开更多

By means of ZM-1 tissue microarrayer, biopsy needles are used to punch the donor tissue specimens respectively. All the needles with the punched specimen cylinders are arrayed into the array-board, with an array of small holes dug to fit the needles. All the specimen cylinders arraying and the TMA paraffin block shaping are finished in only one step so that the specimen cylinders and the paraffin of the TMA block can very easily be incorporated and the recipient paraffin blocks need not be made in advance, and the paraffin used is the same as that for conventional pathology purpose. ZM-1 tissue microarrayer is easy to be manufactured, does not need any precision location system, and so is much cheaper than the currently used instrument. Our method’s relatively cheap and simple ZM-1 tissue microarrayer technique of constructing TMA paraffin block may facilitate popularization of the TMA technology.展开更多

Many clay brick manufacturing workshops and numerous brick masters have emerged. Diyarbakir currently has two clay brick workshops that face the problem of being closed down. Therefore, manufacturing of clay brick by traditional methods may be forgotten in Diyarbakir. This study investigates the manufacturing phases of traditional clay bricks in Diyarbakir's local workshops, which have not been documented. The manufacturin8 phases of the clay bricks in Diyarbaklr were examined for the first time based on in-situ observations, investigations, and interviews. The research indicated the general phases of clay brick manufacturing. Raw materials are first prepared, formed, and dried. The firing of clay bricks is then performed through hacking, heating, burning, coolins, and de-hacking. The clay bricks are finally packaged and dispatched. The traditional manufacturing of clay brick methods in Diyarbaklr is similar in many regions of the world. The clay bricks are currently and extensfvely used in the restoration of historic structures. Therefore, their production must be continuous.展开更多
