The presence of embedded convection in stratiform clouds strongly affects ice microphysical properties and precipitation formation.In situ aircraft measurements,including upward and downward spirals and horizontal pen...The presence of embedded convection in stratiform clouds strongly affects ice microphysical properties and precipitation formation.In situ aircraft measurements,including upward and downward spirals and horizontal penetrations,were performed within both embedded convective cells and stratiform regions of a mixedphase stratiform cloud system on 22 May 2017.Supercooled liquid water measurements,particle size distributions,and particle habits in different cloud regions were discussed with the intent of characterizing the riming process and determining how particle size distributions vary from convective to stratiform regions.Significant amounts of supercooled liquid water,with maxima up to 0.6 g m−3,were observed between−3℃ and−6℃ in the embedded convective cells while the peak liquid water content was generally less than 0.1 g m−3 in the stratiform regions.There are two distinct differences in particle size distributions between convective and stratiform regions.One difference is the significant shift toward larger particles from upper−15℃ to lower−10℃ in the convective region,with the maximum particle dimensions increasing from less than 6000μm to over 1 cm.The particles larger than 1 cm at−10℃ are composed of dendrites and their aggregates.The other difference is the large concentrations of small particles(25–205μm)at temperatures between−3℃ and−5℃ in the convective region,where rimed ice particles and needles coexist.Needle regions are observed from three of the five spirals,but only the cloud conditions within the convective region fit into the Hallett-Mossop criteria.展开更多

Two nondestructive examination methods, double crystals X-ray diffraction (DCXRD) and micro-Raman measurement, were introduced comparatively to determine x value in Si1-xGex layer, which show that while the two methods are consistent with each other when x is low, the results obtained from double crystals X-ray diffraction are not credible due to the large strain relaxation occurring in Si1-xGex layers when Ge content is higher than about 20%. The method is composed of two parts: one is Hertel sampling and the other is image testing. With the help of fiber mixer, a thin and even cotton net is obtained on which we can get Hertel sample by using a sliver clamp. The near micro optical mechanism consists of one large area CCD and one lens with long focus. This mechanism is able to measure every cotton fiber of the test beard accurately and makes it possible to measure accumulating fibers’ amounts. On this base we can calculate short fiber content of cotton, and the experiment results show that this method is efficient.展开更多

Direct method consists of measuring directly the volume of gas desorbed from coal in several steps, from solid then crushed coal. In mixed gas conditions the composition of the desorbed gas is also measured to account for contribution of various coal seam gas in the mix. The determination of gas content using the direct method is associated with errors of measurement of volume of gas but also the errors associated with measurement of composition of the desorbed gas. These errors lead to uncertainties in reporting the gas content and composition of in-situ seam gas. This paper discusses the current direct method practised in Australia and potential errors and uncertainty associated with this method. Generic methods of estimate of uncertainties are also developed and are to be included in reporting gas content of coal. A method of direct measurement of remaining gas in coal following the completion of standard gas content testing is also presented. The new method would allow the determination of volume of almost all gas in coal and therefore the value of total gas content. This method is being considered to be integrated into a new standard for gas content testing.展开更多

The results that measured by the probe method are well consistent with those of QTM-D_2. The soil thermal conductivity increases in different levels with the increase of the water content. Compared the soil thermal conductivity measured by the probe method in laboratory with in-situ experiment,it shows that the measuring gap gradually increases with the increase of the depth. The reason is that the in-situ measuring thermal conductivity can reflect the actual situation of the soil mass.展开更多

Based on the above equations, a rapid and reliable measurement system for hydrogen content in magnesium melt was set up with CPU controller and electric circuit. With this instrument, measurement experiments were carried out to determine hydrogen content in AZ91 melt. The results show that the actual hydrogen level of AZ91 melt under gas protection varies from 0.06 mL/g to 0.14 mL/g at the temperature range from 650℃to 750℃, and hydrogen content lineally increases with the increase of temperature.展开更多

The 266 nm laser radiation was utilized for laser ablation and plasma generation in air. The partial least square method and the dominant factor bused PLS method were used to improve the measurement accuracy of the carbon content of coal. The results showed that the PLS model could achieve good measurement accuracy, and the dominant factor based PLS model could further improve the measurement accuracy. The coefficient of determination and the root-mean-square error of prediction of the PLS model were 0.97 and 2.19%, respectively; and those values for the dominant factor based PLS model were 0.99 and 1.51%, respectively. The results demonstrated that the 266 nm wavelength could accurately measure the carbon content of bituminous coal.展开更多
To evaluate the potential of FT-NIR spectroscopy and the influence of the distance between the light source/detection probe and the fruit for measuring the sugar content (SC) of Fuji apples, diffuse reflectance spectr...To evaluate the potential of FT-NIR spectroscopy and the influence of the distance between the light source/detection probe and the fruit for measuring the sugar content (SC) of Fuji apples, diffuse reflectance spectra were measured in the spectral range from 12500 to 4000 cm^-1 at 0 mm, 2 mm, 4 mm and 6 mm distances. Four calibration models at four distances were established between diffused reflectance spectra and sugar content by partial least squares (PLS) analysis. The correlation coefficients (R) of calibrations ranged from 0.982 to 0.997 with SEC values from 0.138 to 0.453 and the SECV values from 0.74 to 1.58. The best model of original spectra at 0 mm distance yielded high correlation determination of 0.918, a SEC of 0.092, and a SEP of 0.773. The results showed that different light/detection probe-fruit distances influence the apple reflective spectra and SC predictions.展开更多

[Method] Magnolol was qualitatively id- entified by coloration method and thin layer chromatography, and magnolol content in Magnolia officinalia leaves was measured by high performance liquid chromatog- raphy (HPLC). The HPLC was conducted with C18 as the stationary phase while different mobile phases were selected. The measurement wavelength, flow velocity and sample size adopted in the HPLC were 294 nm, 1 ml/min and 20 μl, respec- tively. [Result] Magnolol content in Magnolia officinalia leaves was 0.75%. When methyl alcohol and water with a volume ratio of 78:22 was used as the mobile phase, the retention time of magnolol was 4.528 min and the separation effect was good. In addition, it was easy to operate with good reproducibility and sensitivity. [Conclusion] This method is suitable for the measurement of magnolol content in Maonolia officinalia leaves.展开更多
Dry rubber content(DRC)is an important factor to be considered in evaluating the quality of cup lump rubber.The DRC analysis requires prolonged laboratory validation.To develop fast and effective DRC determination met...Dry rubber content(DRC)is an important factor to be considered in evaluating the quality of cup lump rubber.The DRC analysis requires prolonged laboratory validation.To develop fast and effective DRC determination methods,this study proposed methods to evaluate the DRC of cup lump rubber using different spectroscopic measurement approaches.This involved a complete fundamental analysis leading to an efficient measurement method based on either point-based measurement using NIR reflectance spectrometer or area-based measurement using hyperspectral imaging.A dataset was prepared that 120 samples were randomly divided into a calibration set of 90 samples and a validation set of 30 samples.To obtain an average spectrum to represent a cup lump rubber sample,the spectral data were collected by locating and scanning for point-based and area-based measurement,respectively.The spectral data were calibrated using partial least squares regression(PLSR)and the least-squares support vector machine(LS-SVM)methods against the reference values.The experiments showed that the area-based measurement approach with both algorithms performed outstandingly in predicting the DRC of cup lump rubber and was clearly better than the point-based measurement approach.The best predictions of PLSR represented by the coefficient of determination(R2),the root mean square error of prediction(RMSEP)and the residual predictive deviation(RPD)were 0.99,0.72%and 15.17,while the best prediction of LS-SVM were 0.99,0.64%and 16.83,respectively.In summary,the area-based measurement based on the LS-SVM prediction model provided a highly accurate estimate of the DRC of cup lump rubber.展开更多

The ...Ontologies have been used for several years in life sciences to formally represent concepts and reason about knowledge bases in domains such as the semantic web, information retrieval and artificial intelligence. The exploration of these domains for the correspondence of semantic content requires calculation of the measure of semantic similarity between concepts. Semantic similarity is a measure on a set of documents, based on the similarity of their meanings, which refers to the similarity between two concepts belonging to one or more ontologies. The similarity between concepts is also a quantitative measure of information, calculated based on the properties of concepts and their relationships. This study proposes a method for finding similarity between concepts in two different ontologies based on feature, information content and structure. More specifically, this means proposing a hybrid method using two existing measures to find the similarity between two concepts from different ontologies based on information content and the set of common superconcepts, which represents the set of common parent concepts. We simulated our method on datasets. The results show that our measure provides similarity values that are better than those reported in the literature.展开更多

In order to further improve the accuracy and rapidity of the system, a new approach to describe the relationship between the measurement error and the temperature was proposed. The error band could be obtained and divided into several parts(based on the range of temperature) to indicate the error value that should compensate the grain moisture content for the changes in temperature. By calculating the error band at the maximum and the minimum operating temperatures, as well as by determining the error compensation value from the error band based on the measurement moisture content, the final effective result was derived.展开更多

文摘The carbon content of bituminous coal samples was analyzed by laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy. The 266 nm laser radiation was utilized for laser ablation and plasma generation in air. The partial least square method and the dominant factor bused PLS method were used to improve the measurement accuracy of the carbon content of coal. The results showed that the PLS model could achieve good measurement accuracy, and the dominant factor based PLS model could further improve the measurement accuracy. The coefficient of determination and the root-mean-square error of prediction of the PLS model were 0.97 and 2.19%, respectively; and those values for the dominant factor based PLS model were 0.99 and 1.51%, respectively. The results demonstrated that the 266 nm wavelength could accurately measure the carbon content of bituminous coal.

文摘To evaluate the potential of FT-NIR spectroscopy and the influence of the distance between the light source/detection probe and the fruit for measuring the sugar content (SC) of Fuji apples, diffuse reflectance spectra were measured in the spectral range from 12500 to 4000 cm^-1 at 0 mm, 2 mm, 4 mm and 6 mm distances. Four calibration models at four distances were established between diffused reflectance spectra and sugar content by partial least squares (PLS) analysis. The correlation coefficients (R) of calibrations ranged from 0.982 to 0.997 with SEC values from 0.138 to 0.453 and the SECV values from 0.74 to 1.58. The best model of original spectra at 0 mm distance yielded high correlation determination of 0.918, a SEC of 0.092, and a SEP of 0.773. The results showed that different light/detection probe-fruit distances influence the apple reflective spectra and SC predictions.
文摘维生素E(Ve)是大豆油中一种天然抗氧化剂,是评价大豆油营养价值的重要指标。本研究利用含有264份的大豆自然群体在2021年和2022年测定了籽粒中α-、γ-和δ-生育酚含量,并进行全基因组关联分析(Genome-wide association study,GWAS)。本研究共检测到199个与大豆Ve含量显著关联的SNP位点,其中9个可在2个环境或者2个性状被重复检测到,分别位于3号、7号、11号、12号、13号、15号、17号和18号染色体上。其中位于7号染色体上的显著关联信号是控制α-生育酚含量的主效位点,可在2年环境中被检测到,表型变异解释率为9.83%。对该位点候选基因进行筛选,获得一个编码myb转录因子的基因Glyma.07G054000,可能是这个位点的效应基因。另外,在12号染色体上得到2个编码γ-生育酚甲基转移酶的基因Glyma.12G014200和Glyma.12G014300,有可能是影响Ve含量的重要基因。本研究结果有助于解析大豆籽粒Ve含量的遗传基础及其调控机制,为大豆品质遗传改良奠定了基础。

文摘[Objective] This study aimed to extract magnolol from wild Magnolia offici- nalia leaves by ultrasonic-assisted extraction. [Method] Magnolol was qualitatively id- entified by coloration method and thin layer chromatography, and magnolol content in Magnolia officinalia leaves was measured by high performance liquid chromatog- raphy (HPLC). The HPLC was conducted with C18 as the stationary phase while different mobile phases were selected. The measurement wavelength, flow velocity and sample size adopted in the HPLC were 294 nm, 1 ml/min and 20 μl, respec- tively. [Result] Magnolol content in Magnolia officinalia leaves was 0.75%. When methyl alcohol and water with a volume ratio of 78:22 was used as the mobile phase, the retention time of magnolol was 4.528 min and the separation effect was good. In addition, it was easy to operate with good reproducibility and sensitivity. [Conclusion] This method is suitable for the measurement of magnolol content in Maonolia officinalia leaves.

文摘Dry rubber content(DRC)is an important factor to be considered in evaluating the quality of cup lump rubber.The DRC analysis requires prolonged laboratory validation.To develop fast and effective DRC determination methods,this study proposed methods to evaluate the DRC of cup lump rubber using different spectroscopic measurement approaches.This involved a complete fundamental analysis leading to an efficient measurement method based on either point-based measurement using NIR reflectance spectrometer or area-based measurement using hyperspectral imaging.A dataset was prepared that 120 samples were randomly divided into a calibration set of 90 samples and a validation set of 30 samples.To obtain an average spectrum to represent a cup lump rubber sample,the spectral data were collected by locating and scanning for point-based and area-based measurement,respectively.The spectral data were calibrated using partial least squares regression(PLSR)and the least-squares support vector machine(LS-SVM)methods against the reference values.The experiments showed that the area-based measurement approach with both algorithms performed outstandingly in predicting the DRC of cup lump rubber and was clearly better than the point-based measurement approach.The best predictions of PLSR represented by the coefficient of determination(R2),the root mean square error of prediction(RMSEP)and the residual predictive deviation(RPD)were 0.99,0.72%and 15.17,while the best prediction of LS-SVM were 0.99,0.64%and 16.83,respectively.In summary,the area-based measurement based on the LS-SVM prediction model provided a highly accurate estimate of the DRC of cup lump rubber.
文摘Ontologies have been used for several years in life sciences to formally represent concepts and reason about knowledge bases in domains such as the semantic web, information retrieval and artificial intelligence. The exploration of these domains for the correspondence of semantic content requires calculation of the measure of semantic similarity between concepts. Semantic similarity is a measure on a set of documents, based on the similarity of their meanings, which refers to the similarity between two concepts belonging to one or more ontologies. The similarity between concepts is also a quantitative measure of information, calculated based on the properties of concepts and their relationships. This study proposes a method for finding similarity between concepts in two different ontologies based on feature, information content and structure. More specifically, this means proposing a hybrid method using two existing measures to find the similarity between two concepts from different ontologies based on information content and the set of common superconcepts, which represents the set of common parent concepts. We simulated our method on datasets. The results show that our measure provides similarity values that are better than those reported in the literature.

文摘According to the existing method including testing the frequency and establishing the relationship between moisture content and frequency, a corresponding instrument was designed. In order to further improve the accuracy and rapidity of the system, a new approach to describe the relationship between the measurement error and the temperature was proposed. The error band could be obtained and divided into several parts(based on the range of temperature) to indicate the error value that should compensate the grain moisture content for the changes in temperature. By calculating the error band at the maximum and the minimum operating temperatures, as well as by determining the error compensation value from the error band based on the measurement moisture content, the final effective result was derived.
