The substrate treatment with seeding promoter can promote the two-dimensional material lateral growth in chemical vapor deposition (CVD) process. Herein, graphene quantum dots (GQDs) as a novel seeding promoter were used to obtain uniform large-area MoS2 monolayer. The obtained monolayer MoS2 films were confirmed by optical microscope, scanning electron microscope, Raman and photoluminescence spectra. Raman mapping revealed that the MoS2 monolayer was largely homogeneous. 展开更多

Objective:To explore the influence of applying educational animated film as continuous post-discharge rehabilitation guidance for patients after total hip arthroplasty(THA).Methods:Sixty patients discharged after THA were randomly divided into two groups.Traditional methods,such as distributing manuals of rehabilitation guidance on THA and phone call follow-ups,were adopted in the control group,whereas educational animated film was used as continuous rehabilitation guidance after discharge in the experimental group.Differences in recovery of hip joint function,accuracy of functional exercise,mastery of rehabilitation knowledge and quality of life between the two groups were compared.Results:The experimental group had superior performance on all indicators compared to the control group(P〈0.05).Conclusions:The use of educational animated film as continuous post-discharge rehabilitation guidance in patients after THA achieved better effects than traditional education methods. 展开更多

Nacre is a lightweight, strong, stiff, and tough material, which makes it a mimicking object for material design. Many attempts to mimic nacre by various methods resulted in the synthesis of artificial nacre with excellent properties. However, the fabrication procedure was very laborious and time-consuming due to the sequential steps, and only limited-sized materials could be obtained. Hence, a novel design enabling scalable production of high-performance artificial nacre with uniform layered structures is urgently needed. We developed a novel wet-spinning assembly technique to rapidly manufacture continuous nacre- mimic graphene oxide (GO, brick)-sodium alginate (SA, mortar) films and fibers with excellent mechanical properties. At high concentrations, the GO-SA mixtures spontaneously produced liquid crystals (LCs) due to the template effect of GO, and continuous, 6 m long nacre-like GO-SA films were wet-spun from the obtained GO-SA liquid crystalline (LC) dope with a speed of up to 1.5 m/min. The assembled macroscopic GO-SA composites inherited the alignment of the GO sheets from the LC phase, and their mechanical properties were investigated by a joint experimental-computational study. The tensile tests revealed that the maximum strength (0) and Young's modulus (E) of the obtained films reached 239.6 MPa and 22.4 GPa, while the maximum values of o and E for the fibers were 784.9 MPa and 58 GPa, respectively. The described wet-spinning assembly method is applicable for a large-scale and fast production of high-performance continuous artificial nacre. 展开更多

As an alternative to short fibers,non-woven fabrics(NWFs)were made using different types of long fibers to optimize the performance of paper-based friction materials and their technology.In this investigation,the fillers and resin were impregnated into these NWFs to prepare three kinds of wet friction material.The tribological,mechanical,and thermal properties of the new wet friction material were studied.The results indicate that the dynamic friction coefficient of the new friction material is approximately 0.12 and the static friction coefficient is approximately 0.15;the better wear rate is 0.81334×10^(-14)m^(3)·(N·m)^(-1).In addition,the temperature for 10%mass loss yielded 100°C enhancement and the tensile strength was improved by 200%,compared to previously reported values.Most importantly,the advantages include a simple preparation flow,low cost,and resource conservation.This is a promising approach for the future development of paper-based friction materials. 展开更多
