Dear Editor,Tracking control in networked environment is a very challenging problem due to the contradiction of rapid response to the time-varying signal and the inevitable delay introduced by networks. This letter has proposed several fuzzy-inverse-model-based network tracking control frameworks which are helpful in handling the system with nonlinear dynamics and uncertainties.

Japan is increasingly emphasizing its economic security strategy and has included shaping and maintaining economic rules and order in its newly revised national security strategy.It is carrying out economic diplomacy in Southeast Asia through maintaining the economic influence of the Japan-US alliance,weakening China’s economic influence,and shaping Japan’s strategic autonomy.However,there are notable difficulties reconciling some contradictions in Japan’s diplomatic drives,as its strategic capacity may be insufficient to maintain balanced relations among China,the United States and ASEAN.

How to Prove Riemann Conjecture by Riemann’s Four Theorems

Riemann (1859) had proved four theorems: analytic continuation ζ(s), functional equation ξ(z)=G(s)ζ(s)(s=1/2+iz, z=t−i(σ−1/2)), product expression ξ1(z)and Riemann-Siegel formula Z(z), and proposed Riemann conjecture (RC): All roots of ξ(z)are real. We have calculated ξand ζ, and found that ξ(z)is alternative oscillation, which intuitively implies RC, and the property of ζ(s)is not good. Therefore Riemann’s direction is correct, but he used the same notation ξ(t)=ξ1(t)to confuse two concepts. So the product expression only can be used in contraction. We find that if ξhas complex roots, then its structure is destroyed, so RC holds. In our proof, using Riemann’s four theorems is sufficient, needn’t cite other results. Hilbert (1900) proposed Riemann hypothesis (RH): The non-trivial roots of ζhave real part 1/2. Of course, RH also holds, but can not be proved directly by ζ(s).

A Study on the Structural Contradictions in the US-Turkey Alliance Relations

After the Cold War and especially since the Justice and Development Party administration led by Erdogan,the US-Turkey alliance relations have declined.The two countries have sharp structural contradictions on a series of issues.Due to the profound geopolitical landscape changes,the interdependence on security and defense between the United States and Turkey has been severely weakened,leading to significant divergence in threat definition and pursuit of interests.Turkey has continuously enhanced its diplomatic autonomy,seeking to change its weak position in the original alliance relations,and striving to become a regional leader.These structural contradictions inevitably trigger the hedging of policies and interests between the United States and Turkey.

Proof of Riemann Conjecture Based on Contradiction between Xi-Function and Its Product Expression

Riemann proved three results: analytically continue ζ(s) over the whole complex plane s =σ + it with a pole s =1;(Theorem A) functional equation ξ(t) = G(s0)ζ (s0), s0 =1/2 + it and (Theorem B) product expression ξ1(t) by all roots of ξ(t). He stated Riemann conjecture (RC): All roots of ξ (t) are real. We find a mistake of Riemann: he used the same notation ξ(t) in two theorems. Theorem B must contain complex roots;it conflicts with RC. Thus theorem B can only be used by contradiction. Our research can be completed on s0 =1/2 + it. Using all real roots rk and (true) complex roots zj = tj + iaj of ξ (z), define product expressions w(t), w(0) =ξ(0) and Q(t) > 0, Q(0) =1 respectively, so ξ1(t) = w(t)Q(t). Define infinite point-set L(ω) = {t : t ≥10 and |ζ(s0)| =ω} for small ω > 0. If ξ(t) has complex roots, then ω =ωQ(t) on L(ω). Finally in a large interval of the first module |z1|>>1, we can find many points t ∈ L(ω) to make Q(t) . This contraction proves RC. In addition, Riemann hypothesis (RH) ζ for also holds, but it cannot be proved by ζ.

Quantifying the difference between supply and demand of ecosystem services at different spatial-temporal scales:A case study of the Taihu Lake Basin

Understanding the relationship between the supply and demand for ecosystem services(ESs)is critical for ecological management and decision-making.However,it is unknown whether demand and supply for ESs vary in terms of time and space.In this study,the InVEST model was used to spatially quantify the supply and demand for ESs in the Taihu Lake Basin(TLB)between 2010 and 2020.We compared the difference in supply and demand for ESs at four spatial scales.We found that:(1)The high deficit areas are mainly located in densely populated towns in the eastern and central regions,while the high surplus areas are mainly located in forested areas in the southwest.From 2010 to 2020,the surplus area shrank while the deficit area expanded.(2)The comprehensive supply-demand ratio of ESs in the TLB decreased from−0.03 to−0.05,especially the contradiction between carbon sequestration service and heat regulation service.(3)The mismatch between supply and demand on a small scale will have an impact on the overall supply and demand,and expanding the scope can also help to alleviate the contradiction between supply and demand on a small scale.Therefore,we recommend that decision-makers and managers incorporate scale analysis into ecosystem management decisions,realize the balance between supply and demand through reasonable ecological protection and ecological restoration and strengthen the analysis of ecosystem service flows and stakeholders.

Environmental Risks in China and Their Countermeasures

The 13th Five-year Plan period （2016-2020） is a crucial period for environmental protection in China and represents the last chance for the achievement of the environmental objective under the goal of building a well-off society in an all-round manner. During this period of time, China＇ s environment is confronted with the following major risks： risks of environmental quality, human health, ecological security, balanced regional development and international influence. The overall conclusion is that the tendencies of changing eco-environment are complex, problems remain outstanding, and some risks have abated while others have intensified with possible improvements in the future. Future prospects mainly depend on the intensity of actions taken. It is suggested that environmental protection strategy of＂overall optimization＂ be adopted for the 13th Five-year Plan period, i.e. environmental protection requirements should be incorporated into political, economic, social and cultural spheres, so that these areas with major influence on the natural environment will improve and transform towards an environmentally friendly direction and ultimately help achieve the objective of improving eco-environment and people＇s welfare. In order to fundamentally reverse mainstream understanding on environmental protection, it is suggested to define the ＂contradiction between environmental pressures arising from growing economic development and China ＇ s limited and fragile environmental capacity＂ as a major contradiction of Chinese society.

Means, Advantages and Limits of Merging Biology with Technology

The natural world spent billions of years in solution-finding during evolution, which could benefit Technology. How do we put that in a nutshell? Biological systems are more complex than the most complex current technology. Any given function and effect are simultaneously coordinated and linked with others at many levels of biological organisation-from cell organelle to organism, to population and ecosystem. Technology does not have tools to deal with the complexity and “goal-intendedness” of living systems. But limits for interaction exist on both sides-Biological science itself is also too empirical and not mature enough to provide a solid base for correlating living with technical systems. Moving towards a synthesis, where engineers can utilize the vast amount of available biological data, we suggest using a tool called “Theory of Inventive Problem Solving” (TRIZ) and clarifying some important methodological issues, which have not previously been recognised in bionic engineering: 1) Requirement for more appropriate definitions of “system”, “effect”, “function”,“law” and “rule”. 2) Requirement for understanding or even measuring the degree of contradiction or analogy between functions in biological and artificial and/or non-living engineering system-there is no simple direct correlation between what engineers find useful and what biology does.

Coupling trade-offs and supply-demand of ecosystem services(ES):A new opportunity for ES management

The trade-offs and supply-demand relations of ecosystem services(ES)are at the frontier of geographical and ecological studies.However,previous studies have focused on either trade-offs or the supply-demand aspects,while ES conflicts and supply/demand contradictions have not been comprehensively examined.The relation-ship between ES trade-offs and supply-demand is logically valid and studying the coupling of both can provide approaches for simultaneously alleviating ES conflicts and supply-demand contradictions.This study,based on a review of previous analyses of ES trade-offs and supply-demand dynamics,proposes a new analytic framework to couple them.First,we define two types of trade-offs based on the directions of growth or decline of the two ser-vices.We also define the supply-demand balance area and the supply-demand risk area according to the ES flow characteristics.Second,the mechanisms driving ES trade-offs are clarified,and land-use scenarios are set based on the mechanisms.Third,the supply-demand spatial characteristics of ES are analyzed,and supply-demand risk areas are identified.Finally,scenario iterations are performed to minimize the supply-demand risk area at an acceptable trade-offintensity to identify an optimal land use plan,which simultaneously alleviates ES conflicts and supply-demand contradictions.This analytic framework offers new opportunities for improving sustainable ecosystem management.

Spatial Characteristics and Influencing Factors of Urban Resilience from the Perspective of Daily Activity:A Case Study of Nanjing,China

Based on the connotation of urban resilience and the main contradictions of China's urbanization,urban resilience is placed within the main daily activities contradictory scene of the urban man-land system to build a theoretical framework of urban activity resilience.Relying on geographic big data,this study identifies the spatial characteristics of activity resilience,reveals the impact of activity environment on activity resilience in Nanjing,and proposes countermeasures.The main conclusions are as follows.1)Activity resilience presents a composite spatial structure of circles and clusters,and most areas are resilient but at a low level.2)There are significantly positive and negative global autocorrelation between activity resilience and activity scale,and activity stability.Simultaneously,there also exists a local spatial autocorrelation with the opposite positive and negative trends.3)Activity environment has a significant effect on activity resilience,and the degree and direction of influence among different dimensions and regions are heterogeneous.4)For activity resilience,it is necessary to increase the matching degree between the scale and stability of activities,and reduce the excessive concentration and flow of activities.For the activity environment,it is necessary to improve the accessibility of the ecological environment,strengthen the high-quality supply of the infrastructure environment,optimize the balance of the location environment,and promote the inclusiveness of the social environment.

Countermeasures for Stressing Industry but Disregarding Agriculture in Resource-based Counties: A Case Study of Fugu County in Shaanxi Province

Industry re-feeding agriculture is an important strategy to boost agricultural modernization[1]. As to resource-based regions, the key thing is the way to implement the strategy of resource-based industry re-feeding agriculture. In fact, as a typical resource-based county, Fugu County realizes its quick economic development mainly depending on the local resources and industrial development. And the agricultural development is relatively lagging in the county, more people are beginning to denote themselves to industrial development due to high return brought by resource exploitation, which results that the contradiction between industry and agriculture is gradually prominent in the county. Therefore, it is necessary to seek for a new way to develop industry and agriculture in resource-based counties. This article mainly introduces the mode and method of "industry re-feeding agriculture" in Fugu County, analyzes and summarizes the implementation effects and achievements of modes as well as discusses the problems produced in the course of policy implementation and tries to find countermeasures to coordinate the contradiction between industry and agriculture, then further discuss the development perspective of industry and agriculture in Fugu County.

A Discussion on the Formula Construction of the BISQ Model

The formula construction of the unified model with the squirt and the Biot mechanism,i.e.the BISQ model[Geophysics 58(1993)524],is discussed.The inconsistent formula construction caused by the self-contradictions of key assumptions is pointed out and demonstrated.Once the deformation of the solid skeleton is assumed to be in the uniaxial mode,the deformation of pore fluid is not able to be non-uniaxial at all,but must be uniaxial.Therefore,the expected results in the BISQ model's paper are doubtful and this model needs to be improved.A combination of the two mechanisms simultaneously in theory is significant and still needs more research.
