In the fiber winding process,strong disturbance,uncertainty,strong coupling,and fiber friction complicate the winding constant tension control.In order to effectively reduce the influence of these problems on the tension output,this paper proposed a tension fluctuation rejection strategy based on feedforward compensation.In addition to the bias harmonic curve of the unknown state,the tension fluctuation also contains the influence of bounded noise.A tension fluctuation observer(TFO)is designed to cancel the uncertain periodic signal,in which the frequency generator is used to estimate the critical parameter information.Then,the fluctuation signal is reconstructed by a third-order auxiliary filter.The estimated signal feedforward compensates for the actual tension fluctuation.Furthermore,a time-varying parameters fractional-order PID controller(TPFOPID)is realized to attenuate the bounded noise in the fluctuation.Finally,TPFOPID is enhanced by TFO and applied to control a tension control system considering multi-source disturbances.The stability of the method is analyzed by using the Lyapunov theorem.Finally,numerical simulations verify that the proposed scheme improves the tracking ability and robustness of the system in response to tension fluctuations. 展开更多

Aiming at solving the problems of response lag and lack of precision and stability in constant grinding force control of industrial robot belts,a constant force control strategy combining fuzzy control and proportion integration differentiation(PID)was proposed by analyzing the signal transmission process and the dynamic characteristics of the grinding mechanism.The simulation results showed that compared with the classical PID control strategy,the system adjustment time was shortened by 98.7%,the overshoot was reduced by 5.1%,and the control error was 0.2%-0.5%when the system was stabilized.The optimized fuzzy control system had fast adjustment speeds,precise force control and stability.The experimental analysis of the surface morphology of the machined blade was carried out by the industrial robot abrasive grinding mechanism,and the correctness of the theoretical analysis and the effectiveness of the control strategy were verified. 展开更多

The increasing demands on safety, emission and fuel consumption require more accurate control models of micro internal combustion swing engine (MICSE). The objective of this paper is to investigate the constant speed control models of four-stroke MICSE The operation principle of the four-stroke MICSE is presented based on the description of MICSE prototype. A two-level Petri net based hybrid mode/ is proposed to mode/ the four-stroke MICSE engine cycle. The Petri net subsystem at the upper level controls and synchronizes the four Petri net subsystems at the lower level. The continuous sub-models, including breathing dynamics of intake manifold, thermodynamics of the chamber and dynamics of the torque generation, are investigated and integrated with the discrete model in MATLAB Simulink. Through the comparison of experimental data and simulated DC voltage output, it is demonstrated that the hybrid model is valid for the four-stroke MICSE system. A nonlinear model is obtained from the cycle average data via the regression method, and it is linearized around a given nominal equilibrium point for the controller design. The feedback controller of the spark timing and valve duration timing is designed with a sequential loop closing design approach. The simulation of the sequential loop closure control design applied to the hybrid model is implemented in MATLAB. The simulation results show that the system is able to reach its desired operating point within 0.2 s, and the designed controller shows good MICSE engine performance with a constant speed. This paper presents the constant speed control models of four-stroke MICSE and carries out the simulation tests, the models and the simulation results can be used for further study on the precision control of four-stroke MICSE. 展开更多

The alternative energy resources, like solar, are always complementary due to environmental changes. Energy generation with the sources such as solar and wind is gaining importance and of that photovoltaic conversion is the main focus of researches due to its promising potential as the electrical source. This paper presents the constant voltage method of control where the output of the converter is maintained constant irrespective of the variations in the irradiance with the high step-up isolated efficient single switch DC-DC converter for the solar PV systems. Constant voltage method of control uses the array of photovoltaic systems as its energy source. The output of the Solar PV systems is nonlinear and has its dependency on temperature and irradiance by which the panel voltage and current varies with the variation in irradiance. Constant voltage control method always operates in such a way that the converter voltage is tried to be maintained constantly to the reference voltage which is set by the user. The system used here utilizes high step single switch isolated DC-DC converter and monitors the voltage continuously by varying the duty cycle to maintain the converter voltage always constant. As a way of improving the performance, both the open and closed loop analysis is done where the closed loop analysis uses the PI controller for its performance. The model is implemented in MATLAB and it accepts the irradiance as the input and outputs the constant voltage from the converter and the feasibility of the proposed converter topology is confirmed with experimental results of the prototype model. 展开更多

In order to overcome the shortcomings of the traditional sling suspension method,such as complex structure of suspension truss,large running resistance,and low precision of position servo system,a gravity compensation method of lunar rover based on the combination of active suspension and active position following of magnetic levitation is proposed,and the overall design is carried out.The dynamic model of the suspension module of microgravity compensation system was established,and the decoupling control between the constant force component and the position servo component was analyzed and verified.The constant tension control was achieved by using hybrid force/position control.The position following control was realized by using fuzzy adaptive PID(proportional⁃integral⁃differential)control.The stable suspension control was realized based on the principle of force balance.The simulation results show that the compensation accuracy of constant tension could reach more than 95%,the position deviation was less than 5 mm,the position deviation angle was less than 0.025°,and the air gap recovered stability within 0.1 s.The gravity compensation system has excellent dynamic performance and can meet the requirements of microgravity simulation experiment of lunar rover. 展开更多

This paper proposes a new robust chaotic system of three-dimensional quadratic autonomous ordinary differential equations by introducing an exponential quadratic term. This system can display a double-scroll chaotic attractor with only two equilibria, and can be found to be robust chaotic in a very wide parameter domain with positive maximum Lyapunov exponent. Some basic dynamical properties and chaotic behaviour of novel attractor are studied. By numerical simulation, this paper verifies that the three-dimensional system can also evolve into periodic and chaotic behaviours by a constant controller. 展开更多

Neural network prediction of the shunt current in resistance spot welding

An error back propagation (BP) neural network prediction model was established for the shunt current compensation in series resistance spot welding. The input variables for the neural network consist of the resistivity of the material, the thickness of workpiece and the spot spacing, and the shunt rate is outputted. A simplified calculation for the shunt rate was presented based on the feature of the constant-current resistance spot welding and the variation of the resistance in resistance spot welding process, and then the data generated by simplified calculation were used to train and adjust the neural network model. The neural network model proposed was used to predict the shunt rate in the spot welding of 20# mlid steel (in Chinese classification) (in 2. 0 mm thickness) and 10# mild steel (in 1.5 mm and 1.0 mm thickness). The maximum relative prediction errors are, respectively, 2. 83%, 1.77% and 3.67%. Shunt current compensation experiments were peoCormed based on the neural network prediction model proposed to check the diameter difference of nuggets. Experimental results show that maximum nugget diameter deviation is less than 4% for both 10# and 20# mlid steels with spot spacing of 30 mm and 50 mm. 展开更多

For offshore hydraulic drive wind turbines,the problems of unsatisfactory speed control and low efficiency at low wind speeds are targeted.A low-speed high-torque radial piston pump is designed to replace the traditional fixed pump with a particular focus on its low-speed performance.The pump is characterized by small internal leakage at low wind speeds and high volumetric efficiency,which is beneficial to improve the power generation efficiency of the system.A new linear control method based on the PID algorithm and feedforward compensation was proposed to obtain the constant speed output control of variable motor at low wind speed.With the model for wind turbine and fixed pump-variable motor main drive system,the system was simulated and experimentally proved to verify the feasibility and anti-interference performance of the system control method at low wind speeds.A promising outcome was obtained on the response characteristics of system power and efficiency at low wind speeds.This can be a powerful technical support for the normal ustility of hydraulic drive wind turbines. 展开更多

Real time control (RTC) of urban drainage systems (UDSs) is an important measure to reduce combined sewer overflow (CSO) and urban flooding, helping achieve the aims of "Sponge City'. Application of RTC requires three main steps: strategy design, simulation-based evaluation and field test. But many of published RTC studies are system-specific, lacking discussions on how to design a strategy step by step. In addition, the existing studies are prone to use hydrologic model to evaluated strategics, but a more precise and dynamic insight into strategy performance is needed. To fill these knowledge gaps, based on a case UDS in Kunming city, a studio on RTC strategy design and Management Model (SWMM) - uncier four typical rainfall events characterized by different return periods (1-year or 0.5 year) and different spatial distributions (uniform or uneven). The equal filling strategy outperformss other two strategies and it can achieve 10% more CSO reduction and 5% more flooding reduction relative to the no-tank case. 展开更多

This paper proposes a robust bang-bang controller(RBC)based on the high-gain nonlinear observer for a nonlinear system with intermittent disturbances.The intermittent distur-bances are able to model the system faults and sudden changes of operating conditions of practical nonlinear systems.A bang-bang constant funnel controller(BCFC)is employed,and the largest control capabilities of the control system is explored to stabi-lize the nonlinear system against the disturbances.The BCFC functions with the estimates of tracking error of control target and its derivatives estimated with a high-gain state observer,which eliminates the requirement on the derivative calculations of the system output tracking error.The error convergence of the observer is verified.The closed-loop stability of the RBC is proved in a bounded-input bounded-state sense.Simulation studies are undertaken with a single-machine infinite-bus(SMIB)power system to test the performance of the RBC. 展开更多

The goal of this paper is to propose a unique control method that permits the evolution of both timed continuous Petri net (TCPN) and T-timed discrete Petri net (T-TDPN) from an initial state to a desired one. Model predictive control (MPC) is a robust control scheme against perturbation and a consistent real-time constraints method. Hence, the proposed approach is studied using the MPC. However, the computational complexity may prevent the use of the MPC for large systems and for large prediction horizons. Then, the proposed approach provides some new techniques in order to reduce the high computational complexity; among them one is taking constant control actions during the prediction. 展开更多

This paper provides a systematic analysis of the large scale PMsG(permanent magnet synchronous generator)-based WECS(wind energy conversion system)torsional vibration problem under MPPT(maximum power point tracking)control and constant power control.This is from the perspective of SSo(sub-synchronous oscillation),SSH(sub-syn-chronous harmonics)and forced torsional vibration.The cause of SsO is the negative total system damping,weak-ened by the constant power control.The system is susceptible to inducing SSH in the grid current and voltage in the under-damped condition.To effectively suppress the torsional vibration of PMSG-based WECS,a stiffness compensa-tion control strategy based on adaptive damping is proposed.The results show that SSo,SSH and the forced torsional vibration can be suppressed at the source using the proposed suppression strategy. 展开更多
