This article, based on archival documents, letters, collections of essays, and oral interviews, examines the historical experience of the development of Chinese Regulations for the Manufacture and Control of Live Poliovirus Vaccine. It contends that the emphasis on localization and the active engagement in international cooperation are critical factors in the swift introduction of Chinese Regulations for the Manufacture and Control of Live Poliovirus Vaccine. 展开更多

RBPjk-dependent Notch signaling regulates both the onset of chondrocyte hypertrophy and the progression to terminal chondrocyte maturation during endochondral ossification. It has been suggested that Notch signaling can regulate Sox9 transcription, although how this occurs at the molecular level in chondrocytes and whether this transcriptional regulation mediates Notch control of chondrocyte hypertrophy and cartilage development is unknown or controversial. Here we have provided conclusive genetic evidence linking RBPjk-dependent Notch signaling to the regulation of Sox9 expression and chondrocyte hypertrophy by examining tissuespecific Rbpjk mutant(Prx1Cre;Rbpjkf/f), Rbpjk mutant/Sox9 haploinsufficient(Prx1Cre;Rbpjkf/f;Sox9f/1),and control embryos for alterations in SOX9 expression and chondrocyte hypertrophy during cartilage development. These studies demonstrate that Notch signaling regulates the onset of chondrocyte maturation in a SOX9-dependent manner, while Notch-mediated regulation of terminal chondrocyte maturation likely functions independently of SOX9. Furthermore, our in vitro molecular analyses of the Sox9 promoter and Notch-mediated regulation of Sox9 gene expression in chondrogenic cells identified the ability of Notch to induce Sox9 expression directly in the acute setting, but suppresses Sox9 transcription with prolonged Notch signaling that requires protein synthesis of secondary effectors. 展开更多

Pressure Regulation for Earth Pressure Balance Control on Shield Tunneling Machine by Using Adaptive Robust Control 被引量:8

Most current studies about shield tunneling machine focus on the construction safety and tunnel structure stability during the excavation. Behaviors of the machine itself are also studied, like some tracking control of the machine. Yet, few works concern about the hydraulic components, especially the pressure and flow rate regulation components. This research focuses on pressure control strategies by using proportional pressure relief valve, which is widely applied on typical shield tunneling machines. Modeling of a commercial pressure relief valve is done. The modeling centers on the main valve, because the dynamic performance is determined by the main valve. To validate such modeling, a frequency-experiment result of the pressure relief valve, whose bandwidth is about 3 Hz, is presented as comparison. The modeling and the frequency experimental result show that it is reasonable to regard the pressure relief valve as a second-order system with two low corner frequencies. PID control, dead band compensation control and adaptive robust control(ARC) are proposed and simulation results are presented. For the ARC, implements by using first order approximation and second order approximation are presented. The simulation results show that the second order approximation implement with ARC can track 4 Hz sine signal very well, and the two ARC simulation errors are within 0.2 MPa. Finally, experiment results of dead band compensation control and adaptive robust control are given. The results show that dead band compensation had about 30° phase lag and about 20% off of the amplitude attenuation. ARC is tracking with little phase lag and almost no amplitude attenuation. In this research, ARC has been tested on a pressure relief valve. It is able to improve the valve's dynamic performances greatly, and it is capable of the pressure control of shield machine excavation. 展开更多

These include linear quadratic regulator(LQR), linear quadratic Gaussian control(LQG), H_2 control and H_∞ control. Here we have investigated i... How osteoblast cells are induced is a central question for understanding skeletal formation. Abnormal osteoblast differentiation leads to a broad range of devastating craniofacial diseases. Here we have investigated intramembranous ossification during cranial bone development in mouse models of skeletal genetic diseases that exhibit craniofacial bone defects. The GNAS gene encodes Gαs that transduces GPCR signaling. GNAS activation or loss-of-function mutations in humans cause fibrous dysplasia(FD) or progressive osseous heteroplasia(POH) that shows craniofacial hyperostosis or craniosynostosis, respectively. We find here that, while Hh ligand-dependent Hh signaling is essential for endochondral ossification, it is dispensable for intramembranous ossification, where Gαsregulates Hh signaling in a ligand-independent manner. We further show that Gαscontrols intramembranous ossification by regulating both Hh and Wnt/β-catenin signaling. In addition, Gαsactivation in the developing cranial bone leads to reduced ossification but increased cartilage presence due to reduced cartilage dissolution, not cell fate switch. Small molecule inhibitors of Hh and Wnt signaling can effectively ameliorate cranial bone phenotypes in mice caused by loss or gain of Gnas function mutations, respectively. Our work shows that studies of genetic diseases provide invaluable insights in both pathological bone defects and normal bone development, understanding both leads to better diagnosis and therapeutic treatment of bone diseases. 展开更多

The distributed AC microgrid(MG) voltage restoration problem has been extensively studied. Still, many existing secondary voltage control strategies neglect the co-regulation of the voltage at the point of common coupling(PCC) in the AC multi-MG system(MMS). When an MMS consists of sub-MGs connected in series, power flow between the sub-MGs is not possible if the PCC voltage regulation relies on traditional consensus control objectives. In addition, communication faults and sensor faults are inevitable in the MMS. Therefore, a resilient voltage regulation strategy based on containment control is proposed.First, the feedback linearization technique allows us to deal with the nonlinear distributed generation(DG) dynamics, where the PCC regulation problem of an AC MG is transformed into an output feedback tracking problem for a linear multi-agent system(MAS) containing nonlinear dynamics. This process is an indispensable pre-processing in control algorithm design. Moreover, considering the unavailability of full-state measurements and the potential faults present in the sensors, a novel follower observer is designed to handle communication faults. Based on this, a controller based on containment control is designed to achieve voltage regulation. In regulating multiple PCC voltages to a reasonable upper and lower limit, a voltage difference exists between sub-MGs to achieve power flow. In addition, the secondary control algorithm avoids using global information of directed communication network and fault boundaries for communication link and sensor faults. Finally, the simulation results verify the performance of the proposed strategy. 展开更多

The durability of three-way catalyst (TWC) and corresponding close-coupled catalyst (CCC) for Euro Ⅳ stage regulation was investigated through Vehicle Road Running Mode tests, whereas emissions of regulated pollutants of three car fleet were investigated at every 100,000 km miles. The results showed that HC, NOx, and CO emission values could meet Euro Ⅳ regulation limits at every point. The redox properties of TWC and CCC were measured by CO reduction during each isothermal. It was obvious that both aged TWC and aged CCC behaved a good redox property at 673 and 773 K. Based on XRD and BET measurement results, TWC and CCC washcoat were characterized with good thermal stability. 展开更多

Discharge plasmas in air can be accompanied by ultraviolet(UV) radiation and electron impact,which can produce large numbers of reactive species such as hydroxyl radical(OH·),oxygen radical(O·),ozone(O3),and nitrogen oxides(NOx),etc.The composition and dosage of reactive species usually play an important role in the case of volatile organic compounds(VOCs) treatment with the discharge plasmas.In this paper,we propose a volume discharge setup used to purify formaldehyde in air,which is configured by a plate-to-plate dielectric barrier discharge(DBD) channel and excited by an AC high voltage source.The results show that the relative spectral-intensity from DBD cell without formaldehyde is stronger than the case with formaldehyde.The energy efficiency ratios(EERs) of both oxides yield and formaldehyde removal can be regulated by the gas flow velocity in DBD channel,and the most desirable processing effect is the gas flow velocity within the range from2.50 to 3.33 m s^-1.Moreover,the EERs of both the generated dosages of oxides(O3 and NO2) and the amount of removed formaldehyde can also be regulated by both of the applied voltage and power density loaded on the DBD cell.Additionally,the EERs of both oxides generation and formaldehyde removal present as a function of normal distribution with increasing the applied power density,and the peak of the function is appeared in the range from 273.5 to 400.0 W l-1.This work clearly demonstrates the regulation characteristic of both the formaldehyde removal and oxides yield by using volume DBD,and it is helpful in the applications of VOCs removal by using discharge plasma. 展开更多

After environmental regulation tools are divided into market incentive and command control types,based on the provincial-level data of 30 provinces( cities and regions) in China from 2004 to 2016,the impact of environmental regulation on industrial upgrading and its transmission paths are empirically tested through an intermediary effect model. Technological innovation,FDI and capital market development all meet intermediary conditions,and the market incentive type is more dependent on technological innovation,while the command control type is more dependent on FDI and capital market development.The impact of the two environmental regulation tools on industrial upgrading is further studied. The results show that there is an " inverted U-shaped" relationship between the command control type and industrial upgrading,while there is a " U-shaped" relationship between the market incentive type and industrial upgrading,and there are also certain regional differences in the impact of environmental regulation on industrial upgrading. 展开更多

The resumption of production after the“suspension”caused by the COVID-19 has emerged as an urgent problem for many enterprises and the government.The resumption of production is actually a dynamic evolution problem from 0 to 1(100%).This paper constructs a general game model and a dynamic replication system for the resumption of production and government support,and gives theorems for the construction of the model.It analyzes the evolution mechanism and scenario conditions for the convergence of enterprise strategies to the“resumption of production”strategy,takes the resumption of production of hog farmers as an example to carry out a study on the regulation of countermeasures to resume hog production,and explores systemic countermeasures and suggestions for the rapid convergence of farmers’strategies to the“resumption of work and production”strategy.The study found that the production resuming behavior system dynamics evolution game regulation model provides a systematic model and method for the study of resumption countermeasures,a general regulation model for the resumption ratio from 0 to 1(100%),and a systematic idea,method and model for exploring the“precise strategy”system to promote the rapid resumption of production. 展开更多

Since the first demonstrations of radio-frequency(RF)circuits,the physics of the electromagnetic(EM)field and its regulation and control with codesigned circuits,have become essential competencies of RF circuit designers.Leveraging advanced regulation or control methods,numerous high-performance circuits have been developed at RF and millimeter-wave(mm-wave)frequencies.Three main methods of electromagnetic regulation have been widely utilized,namely,the separation of electric and magnetic coupling paths,the manipulation of electromagnetic energy through the coupling of multiple tanks or multiple resonators,and the regulation of electromagnetic fields in air cavities or meta-substrates.The separated coupling paths of electric and magnetic fields provide guidance for designing a high-performance filter topology with a quasielliptical response through additional zeros.The manipulation of the EM field through electrical and magnetic intercouplings of multitanks or multiresonators,such as are used in oscillators,power amplifiers(PAs),etc.,results in remarkable power efficiency,size reduction,and wide bandwidth.The regulation of electromagnetism through an air cavity,patterned substrate,or metasubstrate reduces dielectric losses and size,especially when using a substrate integrated suspended line(SISL)platform.Many excellent circuits have been reported based on SISL with low loss,high integration,and self-packaging.Here,we present state-of-the-art cases that demonstrate the benefits of EM field regulation and control. 展开更多

As a new favorite in the field of smart materials,smart windows,with visual stimulus sensing functions,have attracted extensive attention for their high transparency,sensitive response to environmental stimulus,and reversible changes in light transmittance.In this paper,the PVA-coPE nanofiber film,which was completely opaque like paper,was used as filling phase and reacted with water-soluble N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone(NVP)by photopolymerization to produce a flexible transparency polyvinyl pyrrolidone/spraying PVA-co-PE nanofiber films(PVP/SPNFs)composite film.Among them,the small size effect of PVA-coPE nanofibers played a pivotal role in improving the film's transparency.Nevertheless,the PVP's reversible adsorption-desorption behavior of water molecules made its refractive index change dynamically and reversibly,which led to the visual transition of composite film from transparent to opaque just like that of electronic smart windows.Additionally,the reversible transition rate of film's transparency can be effectively regulated by the nanofiber stack structure.This new design of transparency visualization transforms composite film in response to humidity,innovates the electrically controlled smart windows on energy and realizes the effective utilization of natural resources such as water and humidity,which has a great application prospect in the field of flexible optoelectronic devices,intelligent buildings,and smart writing. 展开更多

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to study a new method to improve the performance of the magnet power supply in the experimental ring of HIRFL-CSR.Methods A hybrid genetic particle swarm optimization algorithm is introduced,and the algorithm is applied to the optimal design of the LQR controller of pulse width modulated power supply.The fitness function of hybrid genetic particle swarm optimization is a multi-objective function,which combined the current and voltage,so that the dynamic performance of the closed-loop system can be better.The hybrid genetic particle swarm algorithm is applied to determine LQR controlling matrices Q and R.Results The simulation results show that adoption of this method leads to good transient responses,and the computational time is shorter than in the traditional trial and error methods.Conclusions The results presented in this paper show that the proposed method is robust,efficient and feasible,and the dynamic and static performance of the accelerator PWM power supply has been considerably improved. 展开更多

This paper investigates the boost phase's longitudinal autopilot of a ballistic missile equipped with thrust vector control. The existing longitudinal autopilot employs time-invariant passive resistor-inductor-capacitor (RLC) network compensator as a control strategy, which does not take into account the time-varying missile dynamics. This may cause the closed-loop system instability in the presence of large disturbance and dynamics uncertainty. Therefore, the existing controller should be redesigned to achieve more stable vehicle response. In this paper, based on gain-scheduling adaptive control strategy, two different types of optimal controllers are proposed. The first controller is gain-scheduled optimal tuning-proportional-integral-derivative (PID) with actuator constraints, which supplies better response but requires a priori knowledge of the system dynamics. Moreover, the controller has oscillatory response in the presence of dynamic uncertainty. Taking this into account, gain-scheduled optimal linear quadratic (LQ) in conjunction with optimal tuning-compensator offers the greatest scope for controller improvement in the presence of dynamic uncertainty and large disturbance. The latter controller is tested through various scenarios for the validated nonlinear dynamic flight model of the real ballistic missile system with autopilot exposed to external disturbances. 展开更多
