Simplified vector control, which has simple control structure, is utilized as the permanent magnet synchronous motor control algorithm and genetic algorithm is used to tune three PI controllers used in simplified vector control. The control performance is obtained from simulation and investigated to verify the feasibility of the algorithm to be applied in the real application. Simulation results show that the speed and torque responses of the system in both continuous time and discrete time can achieve good performances. Furthermore, simplified vector control combined with genetic algorithm has a similar perfofmance with conventional field oriented control algorithm and possible to be realized into the real simple application in the future.展开更多
Since the aerodynamic center moving backward sharply in hypersonic flight,the stability margin of the hypersonic vehicle increases largely while the maneuverability decreases.We proposed a novel method to solve this c...Since the aerodynamic center moving backward sharply in hypersonic flight,the stability margin of the hypersonic vehicle increases largely while the maneuverability decreases.We proposed a novel method to solve this contradiction.We used relaxed static stability(RSS)to improve the maneuverability in hypersonic flight,and designed the stability augmentation system(SAS)to ensure the stability in subsonic flight.Therefore,the relationship between static stability and maneuverability was quantitatively analyzed in the first step,and the numerical value of RSS was obtained on the premise of good maneuverability.Secondly,the relationship between static stability and aerodynamic parameters was quantitatively analyzed.We properly adjusted aerodynamic parameters based on the quantitative relationship to achieve the specific static stability set in the first step,and therefore provided the engineering realization methods.The vehicle will be statically unstable in subsonic flight with the specific static stability.Lastly,SAS was needed to ensure the stability of the vehicle in subsonic flight.Simulation studies were conducted by comparing the linear SAS to the nonlinear SAS,and the results showed that the nonlinear dynamicinversion controller can synthesize with proportional-integrall-derivative(PID)controller robustly and stabilize the hypersonic vehicle.展开更多
As a nonlinear,strong coupling and multi-variable system,the drive performance of bearingless switched reluctance motor(BLSRM)is always limited by its complicated electromagnetic properties.Generally,conventional PID ...As a nonlinear,strong coupling and multi-variable system,the drive performance of bearingless switched reluctance motor(BLSRM)is always limited by its complicated electromagnetic properties.Generally,conventional PID methods are used to achieve the basic control requirement in wide industrial applications,however its inherent operating principle limits its use on suspending control of BLSRM.In this paper,the suspending force system,which is separately controlled from torque system,is built based on an adaptive fuzzy PID controller to limit the rotor eccentric displacement with proper generation of radial force.When compared with a system adopted using conventional PID method for suspending force control,the proposed adaptive fuzzy PID method has superior performance in shortening the response time,reducing the maximum eccentric displacement error and higher speed range of operation due to its online self-turning of controller parameters.Both in simulation and experimental cases,comparison of results of the above two methods validates the effectiveness of the adaptive fuzzy PID controller for BLSRM drive system.展开更多

The proposed switched fractional controller (SFC) consists of a conventional PI controller, a fractiona...A novel controller is proposed to regulate the DC-link voltage of a single phase active power filter (SPAPF). The proposed switched fractional controller (SFC) consists of a conventional PI controller, a fractional order PI (FO-PI) controller and a decision maker that switches between them. Commonly, the conventional PI controller is used in regulation loops due to its advantages in steady-state but it is limited in transient state. On the other hand, the FO-PI controller overcomes these draw- backs but it causes dramatic degradation in control performances in steady-state because of the fractional calculus theory and the approximation method used to implement this kind of controller. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to switch to the PI controller in steady-state to obtain the best power quality and to switch to the FO-PI controller when external disturbances are detected to guarantee a fast transient state. To investigate the efficiency and accuracy of the SFC considering all robustness tests, an experimental setup has been established. The results of the SFC fulfill the requirements, confirm its high performances in steady and transient states and demon- strate its feasibility and effectiveness. The experiment results have satisfied the limit specified by the IEEE harmonic standard 519.展开更多
