College students have better English foundations for them to develop English speaking abilities.However, most of them are not good at it compared with reading and listening.Therefore, teachers need to find out some me...College students have better English foundations for them to develop English speaking abilities.However, most of them are not good at it compared with reading and listening.Therefore, teachers need to find out some methods to develop students' ability of Group Cooperative Learning to know their errors in time and make sure that they can benefit from it so that students have the enthusiasm to improve their oral English.The thesis is mainly about all empirical study of Group Cooperative Leaning in college English oral course.The major experiment was done with some English majors at North University of China.Though many subjects supported Cooperative Learning and believed that it did effectively reduce some anxiety in students' English oral learning and enhanced their interests, the improvement of their English oral ability is far from satisfaction.This thesis employs questionnaire survey and contrastive analysis methods.This research paper means to investigate the Group Cooperative Learning of oral English learning for college students.The thesis includes five parts.The first part illustrates the purpose, significance of the research and the definition of Group Cooperative Learning. The second part shows the research background from abroad and home, and the factors of poor oral English.The third part presents the research design of the author.The fourth part states the results and discussions about the research.The conclusion part summarizes the major findings of research and also explains the limitations of the author's research and further study about Group Cooperative Learning in oral class for English Majors.展开更多

However, it ...The regular small-world network, which contains the properties of small-world network and regular network, has recently received substantial attention and has been applied in researches on 2-person games. However, it is a common phenomenon that cooperation always appears as a group behavior. In order to investigate the mechanism of group cooperation, we propose an evolutionary multi-person game model on a regular small-world network based on public goods game theory. Then, to make a comparison of frequency of cooperation among different networks, we carry out simulations on three kinds of networks with the same configuration of average degree: the square lattice, regular small-world network and random regular network. The results of simulation show that the group cooperation will emerge among these three networks when the enhancement factor r exceeds a threshold. Furthermore, time required for full cooperation on regular small-world network is slightly longer than the other networks, which indicates that the compact interactions and random interactions will promote cooperation, while the longer-range links are the obstacles in the emergence of cooperation. In addition, the cooperation would be promoted further by enhancing the random interactions on regular small-world network.展开更多

Studies in metacognition suggest that the ideal way to accomplish this is through metacognitive strategy training. Research also indicates that effective training programs depend on monitoring. To cultivate self-regulation or learner autonomy, it is necessary to exert external monitoring at the beginning, and gradually reduce external supervision as the students become more autonomous. The present study argues for cooperative group learning and regular evaluation as the main monitoring strategies. A semester long study indicates that cooperative group learning, besides being valuable in cultivating social relationship, and fostering cooperation and learner autonomy, can also serve as a good monitoring strategy in metacognitive strategy training. Regular evaluation, when it is progress- oriented and learner-centered, and conducted at proper times, will also provide valuable information for students to check, evaluate and adjust their learning. Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group(ECOG)performance status and Gleason score are commonly investigated factors for overall survival(OS)in men with castration-resistant prostate cancer(CRPC).However,there is a lack of ...Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group(ECOG)performance status and Gleason score are commonly investigated factors for overall survival(OS)in men with castration-resistant prostate cancer(CRPC).However,there is a lack of consistency regarding their prognostic or predictive value for OS.Therefore,we performed this meta-analysis to assess the associations of ECOG performance status and Gleason score with OS in CRPC patients and compare the two markers in patients under different treatment regimens or with different chemotherapy histories.A systematic literature review of monotherapy studies in CRPC patients was conducted in the PubMed database until May 2019.The data from 8247 patients in 34 studies,including clinical trials and real-world data,were included in our meta-analysis.Of these,twenty studies reported multivariate results and were included in our main analysis.CRPC patients with higher ECOG performance statuses(≥2)had a significantly increased mortality risk than those with lower ECOG performance statuses(<2),hazard ratio(HR):2.10,95%confidence interval(CI):1.68-2.62,and P<0.001.The synthesized HR of OS stratified by Gleason score was 1.01,with a 95%CI of 0.62-1.67(Gleason score≥8 vs<8).Subgroup analysis showed that there was no significant difference in pooled HRs for patients administered taxane chemotherapy(docetaxel and cabazitaxel)and androgen-targeting therapy(abiraterone acetate and enzalutamide)or for patients with different chemotherapy histories.ECOG performance status was identified as a significant prognostic factor in CRPC patients,while Gleason score showed a weak prognostic value for OS based on the available data in our meta-analysis.展开更多
