The representative models was analyzed, and got some useful conclusions, in which some models are unbiased, some have deviations that can be corrected, some can only be used to compute strain in a uniform medium and can not be extended, and some can be used in the calculation and analysis of continuous strain field as well. Meanwhile, the correction relationship for spherical difference movement (displacement) computed from strain results was given, and the meaning of the non - differential term in spherical strain model was demonstrated. 展开更多

The design of hydro-bulge molds,able to provide hollow parts with special-shaped cross-sections,is still a pretty complicated task(especially for what concerns the design of the related hydraulic system and its“synchronization”).In the present work,this task is addressed through the introduction of a new type of overhead cylinder hydraulic synchronization system,able to correct automatically any deviation from the optimal process.Using the AMESim software,the displacement synchronization curve of the piston rods of the two cylinders is obtained and it is verified that the system is able to implement an automatic deviation correction function by adjusting the bidirectional servo valve.A mathematical model for the synchronization system is presented,and the transfer function of the closed-loop control system is determined accordingly.The results show that the system response is generated at about 0.1∼0.2 s with the system reaching an equilibrium state at about 0.2 s. 展开更多

The control system presently used in shield posture rectification is based on driver experience,which is marginally reliable.The study of the related theory is flawed.Therefore,a decision-making approach for the deviation correction trajectory and posture rectification load for an earth pressure balance(EPB)shield is proposed.A calculation model of posture rectification load of an EPB shield is developed by considering the interactions among the cutter head,shield shell,and ground.The additional position change during the shield attitude correction is highlighted.The posture rectification loads and shield behaviors results can be solved by the proposed method.The influences of the stratum distribution(i.e.,bedrock height in the upper-soft and lower-hard strata)on shield behaviors and posture rectification loads are analyzed.Results indicated that the increase of pitch angle in the upper-soft and lower-hard strata causes a sharp rise in vertical displacement.The bedrock height increases the magnitudes of the required posture rectification moments when hr/D>0.5.For a tunnel with hr/D≤0.5,the variation of hr/D has little effect on the posture rectification moments.Finally,the posture rectifying curves based on the theoretical model are compared with the target ones based on the double circular arc interpolation method.The required results can be obtained regardless of the soil–rock compound stratum distribution.The maximum rectification moment in the rock layer is almost 12.6 times that in the soil layer.Overall,this study provides a valuable reference for moment determination and the trajectory prediction of posture rectification in compound strata. 展开更多

We employ the in-site automated observation radiometric calibration(AORC) approach to perform vicarious calibration, which does not require the manual efforts of a field team to measure the surface conditions. By using an automated test-site radiometer(ATR), the surface radiance at any moment in time can be obtained. This Letter describes the AORC approach and makes use of data to compute top-of-atmosphere radiance and compare it to measurements from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer. The result shows that the relative deviation is less than 5% and the uncertainty is less than 6.2%, which indicates that the in-site AORC maintains an accuracy level on par with traditional calibration. 展开更多

A symmetrical heterodyne grating interferometer with both a short period and high signal-to-noise ratio is proposed. It possesses good immunity to environmental disturbances and can simultaneously achieve high resolution and stability. The experimental results show that the standard deviation of 24.67 nm can be realized for the long range of 10 mm. The measurement resolution of better than 2 nm is achieved with the theoretical resolution of 12 pm. Additionally, system stability at less than 1.5 nm is obtained in just over 10 min. The measurement errors, including cosine error, nonlinear error and non-common path error, are discussed as well. 展开更多

The water Cherenkov detector array(WCDA) for the Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory(LHAASO) will employ more than 3600 hemisphere 8-inch photomultiplier tubes(PMTs). Good time performance of the PMT, especially the transit time spread(TTS), is required for the WCDA. In order to meet the demand of the WCDA experiment, an accurate measurement of PMT TTS based on the photoelectron spectrum is studied. The method is appropriate for multi-photoelectrons and makes it possible to measure the TTS of different photoelectrons simultaneously. The TTS of different photoelectrons for a Hamamatsu R5912 PMT is tested with a specially designed divider circuit. The relationship between TTS and number of photoelectrons is also presented in this paper. 展开更多
