From Traditional Agriculture to Landscape Agriculture——About the Aesthetics in the Construction of New Socialist Countryside

Characteristics of traditional agriculture were analyzed from the perspective of history and culture,by comparing modern agriculture and traditional culture,it was proposed that modern agriculture focuses more on landscape,the main contents and era features of landscape agriculture were elaborated as well as the significance of constructing new socialist countryside,and relevant suggestions were proposed for building new land-scape countryside.

Research on Beautiful Countryside Planning in Underdeveloped Areas from Perspective of Traditional and Modern Integration——a Case Study of Jiangjia Village, Jishui County, Jiangxi Province

In context of building beautiful countryside nationwide, underdeveloped areas are confronted by many problems, such as monotonous industry structure, simi- lar rural landscape and loss of characteristics. With a case of Jiangjia Village, Jishui County, Jiangxi Province, the research explored rural pattern, cultural characteristics, building style, development value and potential and analyzed regional cooperation, urban-rural integration, and planning first, from the perspectives of economy, culture and building in order to protect traditional economy and highlight local characteristics.

Treatment of Domestic Sewage by Channels Constructed Wetland in New Countryside

[Objection] The aim was to study application of channels constructed wetland in treatment of domestic sewages in new countryside. [Method] Supported by construction of new rural areas project in China, we surveyed on new rural areas in Gannan, Jiangxi Province, summarized source, characteristics and treatment of domestic sewage in countryside, and designed channels constructed wetland for sewage treatment. [Result] The technique is proven effective in sewage treatment. After the technique was conducted for a trial run for four months, removal rates of COD, TP and TN averaged 73.07%, 73.25% and 72.36%, respectively. After contin- uous sampling for six times, effluent COD was analyzed 20-35 mg/L, TP was 0.60- 1.19 mg/L and TN was 6.88-11.21 mg/L, better than that of Standard 1B ruled by Discharge Standard of Pollutants for Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant. [Conclusion] Thanks for low investment, channels constructed wetland can be built by trans- formation of bottom land, proving a good way for treatment of diffuse pollution source and control of water non-point pollution.

With the construction of new socialist countryside as the background, theories of constructing new countryside were discussed in this study, and approaches to construct new socialist countryside with Chinese countryside landscape images were explored.

Investigation and Treatment of the New Countryside Environment in Suburban Areas

Based on the environment improvement of the "Early Spring in Meiwu",one of the new top ten views of the West Lake,this study investigated the environment of neighboring villages,such as Meijiawu,Fancun and Xiaoyawu.It turned out that these villages had intensive buildings,crowded illegal constructions,less and unitary public spaces,invaded village roads with disorderly parking by roadside,mixed and disorderly construction structures,colors and materials,as well as difficult facade improvement.Environment status of the countryside in the outskirt of city was summarized.Besides,environment improvement project of the "Early Spring in Meiwu" was analyzed,and its outstanding characteristics were proposed,such as high-profile,involving more professions,relying on excellent communication and coordination,demanding ratification of engineering quantity.Corresponding improvement strategies were given from the aspects of construction facade,landscaping,road and bridge,drain outlet network and so on,and it was highlighted that this project stressed proper implementation and timely completion,engineering ratified by cost engineer,smooth communication among involved parties,and properly dealing with emergences.

The Study on Landscape Factors,Pattern and Design in New Countryside Construction in Mountainous Areas of China

With the vigorous development of China urbanization and increase of people's environmental consciousness,landscape design had received more and more attentions in urban construction and planning.However,the planning for mountainous new countryside construction and landscape design had not been emphasized.Hence,how to make use of natural and cultural landscape factors in mountainous areas to conduct landscape design in new countryside construction was an issue needed to be highlighted.According to the field study of natural villages and residences of Longnan City in Gansu Province,the paper had discussed the composition of mountainous settlements and residences,the composition of mountainous rural landscape factors and landscape planning principles,hoping to provide reference for rural landscape design and new countryside construction.

The Strategies of Rainfall Accumulation and Utilization in New Countryside

The research explored rainwater accumulation and utilization in new coun- tryside construction on basis of rainwater utilization in rural areas in China and pro- posed concrete measures, laying foundation for rational use of constructions in new rural areas.

Countermeasures and Suggestions for Consolidation of Human Settlements in the Construction of New Countryside

With the acceleration of urbanization and industrialization,the conflict between human and land is getting more serious,so it brooks no delay to protect farmland,economize and utilize construction land.In view of present layout problems existed in rural human settlements,this paper deeply discussed the necessity of human settlements consolidation in the construction of new countryside,implementation models,management rules and measures,and 6 guarantee measures for the concentration and union of villages were proposed as follows:① Carefully make projects planning and rationally plan all types of lands;② Make rural planning scientifically and rationally;③ Clarify management procedure and strengthen management methods;④ Guarantee the rational utilization of land after villagers moving out;⑤ Strictly carry out the management rules of land use and the planning of project areas;⑥ Ensure production and life of residents in relocation areas.

Analysis on the Status of Farmers, Agriculture and Countryside, and Development Strategies and Measures in Tibet Autonomous Region

Coordinated and sustainable development of farmers, agriculture and countryside (FAC) is key to realize the national objective of comprehensively developed well-off society. Since the peaceful liberation of Tibet, outstanding achievements have been made in FAC work. However, compared with East and Middle China, there still exists a big gap. The farmers’ net income per capita in 2001 was 1,404 yuan, 962 yuan lower than the nation’s average. In late 90’s the farmers’ income growth slowed down. Agricultural industrialization is at low level, technologies play a small role in agricultural development, rural infrastructure is weak, the rural grass root organization is much underdeveloped, and construction of towns is behind the other regions of China. Based on the problems of FAC development there, this paper proposes FAC development strategies and measures for accelerating rural development in Tibet.

Current Situation of College Students’ Entrepreneurship and Employment in the Countryside in the Context of Rural Revitalization

Focusing on the talent training in the strategy of revitalizing the countryside, this paper uses questionnaire survey, field survey, descriptive statistics, chi-square test and other methods to study the willingness of college students to "go to the countryside" to contribute to rural development after graduation, as well as the influencing factors. The results show that the willingness of college students to "go to the countryside" is negative after graduation, and engaging in rural education and returning to their hometown to start a business is the mainstream will of college students to "go to the countryside". The one-sidedness of the understanding of rural areas, less employment opportunities, low wages, poor infrastructure conditions and the views of the older generation are the important reasons that hinder college students from "going to the countryside". The good environment in rural areas and the guidance of policies are the biggest promoting factors for "going to the countryside". The willingness of rural college students to "go to the countryside" is significantly higher than that of urban college students. The freshman s willingness to "go to the countryside" is the most positive, and the graduate students willingness to "go to the countryside" is the most negative. The college students majoring in agriculture are most willing to support the development of rural areas, while the students of "medicine","literature" and "art" are most unwilling to "go to the countryside". Whether or not to participate in the "volunteer activities for the country people" has no impact on the willingness to "go to the countryside".

Recommendations and Countermeasures for Building Beautiful Countryside in Jiangsu Province in the New Period

This paper firstly introduced overall condition of agricultural and rural economic development in Jiangsu Province,and analyzed restrictive factors and bottleneck in the process of new socialist countryside construction from policy,fund and understanding. There are many problems in the process of new socialist countryside construction,including no supply and management system for rural public service products,no agricultural ecological compensation mechanism,increasingly prominent rural hollowing and decline of passing on economic culture,lack of funds and technologies for new socialist countryside construction,and inadequate understanding of new socialist countryside construction. In line with these problems,it came up with recommendations and countermeasures for beautiful countryside construction in Jiangsu Province in the new period from government guidance,plan leading,industrial support,environmental improvement,innovation management and cultural cultivation.

Implications of NIE Project to Development of Newspapers about Agriculture,Countryside and Farmers

Through analyzing current situations of newspapers about agriculture,countryside and farmers and problems impairing development of these newspapers,this paper presents constructive recommendations for combination with NIE project at operational level.In China,NIE project should not copy foreign experience,but should proceed from rural realities,expend its intension and enrich its extension,and extend coverage of newspaper to all levels in rural areas.In addition,it is recommended to explore new approaches and find a new development road of newspapers about agriculture,countryside and farmers through transforming the publishing mode.

Experience of Overseas Countryside Development and Construction of “Beautiful Countryside” in Zhejiang

Countryside development paths and phase characters of typical developed countries and regions were analyzed,such as the East Asian Model(Japan and South Korea),and Western European Model(Germany and the Netherlands).The former is based on the big gap between urban and rural development,and the latter is based on the balanced development of urban and rural areas,both of them achieved the world’s leading level of countryside construction.In Zhejiang Province,"China’s Beautiful Countryside"represented by Anji,and"Zhejiang Green Agricultural Product Base"represented by Xianju emerged in the county level.Motivation mechanisms for countryside development in China and abroad were analyzed,including industrial system,infrastructure,ecological environment,and local culture.
