The N + 2 transversal network method is applied to study a coupled resonator filter. This method allowed us to determine the polynomials of the reflection and transmission coefficients. A study is made for a 4 poles filter with 2 transmission zeros between the N + 2 transversal network method and the one found in the literature. A MATLAB code was designed for the numerical simulation of these coefficients for the 6, 8, and 10 pole filter with 4 transmission zeros.展开更多

The method presented in this work is applicable to any type of coupling while for numerical calculations we have assumed the arbitrary coupling as Gaussian coupling. This arbitrary coupling is expressed as a collection of Dirac delta functions and by the use of the transfer matrix technique the transition probability from one diabatic potential to another diabatic potential is calculated. We examine our approach by considering the case of two constant potentials coupled by Gaussian coupling as an arbitrary coupling.展开更多

The iterative method uses a negative gradient as steepest direction and seeks for an optimal step size to minimize the residual norm of next iterate. It is shown that the iterative sequence converges unconditionally to the exact solution for any initial guess and that the norm of the residual matrix and error matrix decrease monotonically. Numerical tests are presented to show the efficiency of the proposed method and confirm the theoretical results.展开更多

Firstly, the vibration frequency and mode of blade and runner in air and water are calculated. Secondly, the influences to runner frequency domain by large flow, small flow and design flow working conditions are compared. Finally the influences to runner modes by centrifugal forces under three rotating speeds of 400 r/rain, 500 r/min and 600 r/rain are compared. The centrifugal force and small flow working condition have greatly influence on the vibration of small runner. With the increase of centrifugal force, the vibration frequency of the runner is sharply increased. Some order frequencies are even close to the runner natural frequency in the air. Because the low frequency vibration will severely damage the stability of the turbine, low frequency vibration of units should be avoided as soon as possible.展开更多

This has impacted significantly upon the performance required from the microwave equipment that comprises these systems. In the case of microwave filters, greater in-band linearity to avoid signal distortion and out-of-band isolation to suppress interference are routinely specified, which can only be satisfied by advanced filtering characteristics. This article presents the coupling matrix approach to the synthesis of prototype filter networks, enabling the realization of the hardware embodying the enhanced performance needed by today’s high capacity systems.展开更多

It was found that the effects on synchronizing ability of the two different structures by cutting a link are completely opposite. The synchronizing ability will decrease if the change is from bidirectional ring to bidirectional chain. Moreover, the change on synchronizing ability will be four times if the number of N is large enough. However, it will increase obviously from unidirectional ring to unidirectional chain. It will be N^2/(π^2) times if the number of N is large enough. The numerical simulations confirm the conclusion in quality. This paper also discusses the effects on synchronization by adding one link with different length d to these two different structures. It can be seen that the effects are different. Theoretical results are accordant to numerical simulations. Synchronization is an essential physics problem. These results proposed in this paper have some important reference meanings on the real world networks, such as the bioecological system networks, the designing of the circuit, etc.展开更多

On the other hand, realistic modelling of many large networks with nonlocal interaction inevitably requires connection delays to be taken into account, since they naturally arise as a consequence of finite information transmission and processing speeds among the units.
