Enantiomeric separation of α-phenylethylamine and its derivatives by series coupled open tubular columns

A series coupled fused-silica open tubular columns of a chiral and an achiral stationary phase were used to achieve the enantiomeric separation of a-phenylethylamine, o,m,p-methyl-and o,m,p-methoxy-a-phenylethylamine.... A series coupled fused-silica open tubular columns of a chiral and an achiral stationary phase were used to achieve the enantiomeric separation of a-phenylethylamine, o,m,p-methyl-and o,m,p-methoxy-a-phenylethylamine. A simplified equation describing the retention values of series coupled columns was derived, which relates the capacity factors of series coupled columns to the capacity factor of individual columns, their lengths, inlet and outlet pressure. Very good agreement was obtained both between calculated values by this equation and those by Krupcik's equation and between values measured experimentally and calculated theoretically. By means of this simplified equation a computer program was developed in locating the operating range of optimum amin, enantiomeric separation of all a-phenylethylamine and its derivatives were achieved in a single run. 展开更多

Based on the importance of fractured rock mass seepage research, in order to analyze seepage flow characteristics of collapse column under the influence of mining, a method by embedding fractured rock mass flow solid coupling relationship into FLAC3D internal flow models is presented according to fluid-solid coupling theory and strength criterion. A calculation model of numerical analysis was established, and the influences of mining pressure and plastic damage to pore water pressure and seepage vector change rule were studied. The results show that collapse column is the main channel of confined water seepage upward. The impact is not big when the workface is away from the collapse column. But when the workface is nearing a collapse column, there will be a seepage channel on a side near the workface, in which seepage vector and head are comparatively large. With workface pushing through collapse column, the seepage channel transfers to the other side of the column. In addition, when the plastic damage area within the collapse column breaks through, a "pipeline flow" will be formed within the column, and seepage field will change remarkably and the possibility of water bursting will be greater. 展开更多

On the basis of apparent elasticity method, we derived the equivalent circuit of coupling vibration of a short column and discussed its frequency equation and the effects of the load impedance on the resonant frequency of the short column. By the equivalent circuit, we calculated the input mechanical impedance of the longitudinally-excited short column and the curves of the apparent vibration velocity ratio versus the geometrical dimensions of the column. It shows that the equivalent circuit method is a simple and convenient one to analyze and calculate the coupling vibration of the short column. 展开更多
