In response to the national strategy of“vigorously cultivating interdisciplinary talents and actively promoting interdisciplinary integration,”this article focuses on the nationally recognized Environmental Design program at Hezhou University’s College of Design,leveraging local industry advantages to engage in interdisciplinary integration through educational practices.Using the“Construction of the Panoramic Virtual Nature Museum of the Guizhou Crocodile Lizard at Mount Dagui”as a case study,we aim to establish a professional and interdisciplinary learning community,incorporate student-centered interactive teaching methods,boost student motivation,enhance teaching quality,nurture forward-thinking versatile innovative talents,and provide a guideline for interdisciplinary educational reform.

Exploration and Practice of Student Engineering Competency Training in University-Industry Collaboration Model

Engineering competency is a basic and important quality of being an engineer,but it is one of the weak points in today’s higher engineering education.Taking industrial development needs as the goal of personnel training and focusing on the cultivation of engineering competency,the authors design an integrated practical teaching system,which is based on the requirements for engineering and technical professionals and the characteristics of Qingdao University of Science and Technology(QUST).The system adopts a“project driven”teaching method and a“swimming poolTM”training mode and establishes a teaching,administration,feedback and evaluation platform consistent with the implementation of this practical teaching mode,so as to ensure the quality of engineering and technical professionals training in an in-depth university-industry collaboration mode.

Comparative Study of Internationalized Talent Cultivation Models in International Higher Education Programs

The internationalization of talent cultivation in the field of international higher education is a widely discussed topic among higher education institutions worldwide.This paper conducts a comparative study of domestic and foreign higher education institutions and identifies some differences in the internationalization of talent cultivation among different countries and regions.Firstly,the study summarizes the changes in talent cultivation through domestic study abroad programs and overseas study programs.Then,this paper introduces the“Knowledge-Practice-Research”international talent cultivation model in China and the international talent cultivation model in Japan as an example.Finally,this study compares the international talent cultivation models in domestic and foreign higher education institutions.The results indicate that the internationalization of talent cultivation models needs to be adjusted according to different training objectives,specific countries,and even regional circumstances to adapt to local characteristics and the international environment.Overall,different countries and regions have different emphases and characteristics in the internationalization of talent cultivation in higher education institutions.However,regardless of the country,higher education institutions should focus on enhancing students’international perspectives and cross-cultural communication skills to adapt to the globalized economic and social environment.

An Exploration on Undertaking Commercial Projects in School-Enterprise Cooperation from the Perspective of Applied Talents Cultivation

With the vibrant growth of IT and strong encouragement from the "Internet Plus" policy, China's craving for high-end IT talents has been aroused to another high level. With norms in IT talents requirement become more diverse and demanding, IT talents are pushed to embody both solid theoretical software knowledge and high capability in practice. All of these make it an extremely urgent task for strengthening applied talents with their practice capability in commercial projects. This paper, based on cultivating applied talents and by exemplifying the applied IT major in one university in H province, reinforced educational and cultivating reform, explored the undertaking of commercial projects in school-enterprise cooperation and contemplated the mode construction of applied talents cultivation to raise the cultivation quality and employment of applied talents in universities, effectively enhance the commercial value of education as well as its capability in serving local economy and finally achieve the goal of intensifying the link of talents cultivation through practice.

Critical Review of Talent Management in a Local Context:A Case Study

Talent management(TM)is the current buzzword for organisations that want to attain competitive advantage globally,including Saudi Arabia.The present study explores the status and the emergence of TM in Saudi Arabia in the last few years based on reviewing the pre-existing literature.In addition,an insight into the challenges specific to the management of talent in Saudi Arabia is discussed.Due to the traditional and conservative society of Saudi Arabia,along with its governmental policies such as Saudization and the Nitaqat system,it has become extremely challenging for private organisations to employ TM practices.This study provides insights into various TM practices employed in Saudi Arabia;however,none of the studies have provided any information about the types of TM practices to be employed for a better and more efficient organisational performance in the context of Saudi Arabia.It is concluded that the practice of TM in Saudi Arabia is extremely selective in private organisations and can be considered to be in its infancy.Moreover,the gaps in the research in these areas are identified,and based on those,recommendations are made for the scope of future work.This study contributes to a critical understanding on the suitable TM practices that can be applied in Saudi Arabia as well.It provides insights assisting to further research and practical applications.Our study finds its relevance among TM academicians,human resource(HR)departments,policy makers,government agencies,talent managers,and employers who are either already functional in Saudi Arabia or are planning to open business processes in Saudi Arabia in the near future.This can act as a strategic development when collaborated appropriately with the government authorities.

随着国家创新创业发展战略的有力推动,高校创新创业教育改革进入快速发展新时期。目前,高校还存在着创新创业教育意识不足、创新创业教学融入度不高、创新创业师资力量匮乏、实践教学体系不完备等问题。为促进创新创业教育高质量可持续发展,该文以高校自动化专业为例,通过分析高校创新创业教育主要特点和现存问题,提出基于高校科研团队的“科教融合、产教融合、赛教融合、理实融合”四个层次的创新创业教育体系,利用科研团队的优势资源、学术氛围、实践经验,有效促进学生的创新创业思维形成和创新实践能力提升,相关措施在自动化专业创新创业教育及复合型优秀人才培养中取得显著成效。

“互联网+”背景下材料学科大学生创新创业教育模式探究

基于能力导向的建筑学专业教学实践——以天津大学建筑学专业教学改革为例

针对中国建筑教育现有体系存在的传统文化基因系统性缺失、教学与实践关联性不足、学习主体竞争意识薄弱与国际视野受限的问题,文章试图构建以厚植文化内生力、培养实践创新力、激发国际竞争力为导向的建筑学领军人才培养模式。文章以天津大学建筑学院十余年(2012—2022年)的教学实践为佐证,阐释以内生力、创新力、竞争力为主线的培养理念、课程建设与实施路径,以期为培养国家未来领军建筑人才提供有益参考。
