The electrodes effect as mass loading in the estimation of the resonance frequency has to be modified to consider the stiffness of electrodes, as the relative strength is increasingly noticeable. By following a known procedure in the determination of the thickness-shear frequency of an infinite AT-cut crystal plate, frequency equations of crystal plate without and with piezoelectric effect are obtained in terms of elastic constants and the electrode material density. After solving these equations for the usual design parameters of crystal resonators, the design process can be optimized to pinpoint the precise configuration to avoid time-consuming trial and reduction steps. Since these equations and solutions are presented for widely used materials and parameters, they can be easily integrated into the existing crystal resonator design and manufacturing processes.展开更多

Flexural wave band structures of such a plate with infinite structure are calculated with the plane-wave expansion (PWE) method, and directional band gaps are found in the ΓX direction. The acceleration frequency response in the ΓX direction of such a plate with finite structure is simulated with the finite element method and verified with a vibration experiment. The frequency ranges of sharp drops in the calculated and measured acceleration frequency response curves are in basic agreement with those in the band structures. Thin plate is a widely used component in the engineering structures. The existence of band gaps in such periodic structures gives a new idea in vibration control of thin plates.展开更多

The result shows that black plate influences corrosion resistance of T5 tinplate intensely. It also indicates that the increase of content of manganese, phosphorus, silicon and aluminum in black plate would reduce the corrosion resistance of T5 tinplate and the increase of degree of crystal orientation on (200) crystal face, |X-Y| value (internal stress difference within two orientation), roughness and exposure degree of iron grain after the same acid wash of black plate would enhance the corrosion resistance of T5 tinplate and the grain number of black plate has small effect on corrosion resistance of T5 tinplate.展开更多

It completes our previous work in which we related the crystallinity of these conductive PVDF/PET based composites to their through-plane resistivity [1]. Isothermal crystallization was described using the logarithmic form of the Avrami equation and it was observed that the crystallization rate of the PVDF phase inside the composite became slower compared to that of neat PVDF. In non-isothermal crystallization, the Avrami exponent of PVDF phase did not show any noticeable variation;however, that of PET phase, which contains the major part of the conductive carbon black (CB) and graphite (GR) additives, showed an evident decrease compared with neat PET. It was also observed that, at the same cooling rate, the crystallization rate of PVDF and PET phases inside the composite was slower than that of neat PVDF and PET.展开更多
