The factors influencing the crystallization ratio of mold flux were researched by rapid cooling technolo gy, and the factors affecting crystallization temperature were studied by single thermocouple technique. The results showed that the crystallization ratio of mold flux increases with the basicity and the content of Na2O, CaF2, Li2O and NaF, and decreases with the increase of the content of Al2O3, MgO, BaO, MnO and B2O3. However, the crystallization temperature of mold flux rises with the basicity and the content of NaF, Na2O and CaF2, and reduces with the increase of the content of Al2O3, MgO, BaO, MnO and B2O3. But for Li2O, crystallization temperature decreases firstly to a minimum value at 2%, and then increases gradually with the increase of Li2O. 展开更多

The air cooler is an important equipment in the petroleum refining industry.Ammonium chloride(NH4 Cl)deposition-induced corrosion is one of its main failure forms.In this study,the ammonium salt crystallization temperature is chosen as the key decision variable of NH4 Cl deposition-induced corrosion through in-depth mechanism research and experimental analysis.The functional link neural network(FLNN)is adopted as the basic algorithm for modeling because of its advantages in dealing with non-linear problems and its fast-computational ability.A hybrid FLNN attached to a small norm is built to improve the generalization performance of the model.Then,the trained model is used to predict the NH4 Cl salt crystallization temperature in the air cooler of a sour water stripper plant.Experimental results show the proposed improved FLNN algorithm can achieve better generalization performance than the PLS,the back propagation neural network,and the conventional FLNN models. 展开更多

Low-dimensional halide perovskites have become the most promising candidates for X-ray imaging,yet the issues of the poor chemical stability of hybrid halide perovskite,the high poisonousness of lead halides and the relatively low detectivity of the lead-free halide perovskites which seriously restrain its commercialization.Here,we developed a solution inverse temperature crystal growth(ITCG)method to bring-up high quality Cs_(3)Cu_(2)I_(5)crystals with large size of centimeter order,in which the oleic acid(OA)is introduced as an antioxidative ligand to inhibit the oxidation of cuprous ions effieiently,as well as to decelerate the crystallization rate remarkalby.Based on these fine crystals,the vapor deposition technique is empolyed to prepare high quality Cs_(3)Cu_(2)I_(5)films for efficient X-ray imaging.Smooth surface morphology,high light yields and short decay time endow the Cs_(3)Cu_(2)I_(5)films with strong radioluminescence,high resolution(12 lp/mm),low detection limits(53 nGyair/s)and desirable stability.Subsequently,the Cs_(3)Cu_(2)I_(5)films have been applied to the practical radiography which exhibit superior X-ray imaging performance.Our work provides a paradigm to fabricate nonpoisonous and chemically stable inorganic halide perovskite for X-ray imaging. 展开更多

Effects of Tungsten and Boron Contents on Crystallization Temperature and Microhardness of Tungsten Based Metallic Glasses

Effects of tungsten and boron contents on the thermal properties and microhardness of W-Fe-B metallic glass system were studied. Thin foils, with thicknesses of 20 and 100 ktm, of the alloys were produced by piston and anvil method in an arc furnace. The structures of the foils were investigated by X-ray diffraction. Thermal stabilities of the alloys were examined by using differential scanning calorimetry. 20-μm- thick foils of all the alloys were determined to be fully amorphous, but crystalline phases were detected in the 100-μm-thick foils. It was found that crystallization temperatures of the alloys are between 1060 and 1177 K. Tungsten and boron content increases improve the crystallization temperature and microhardness of the alloys significantly, but deteriorate the glass forming ability of the alloys. It was also observed that for constant Fe content, increasing tungsten content to the level higher than that of boron content does not result in any further improvement in crystallization temperature, but improves glass forming ability significantly. The alloy containing highest total amount of tungsten and boron, W35Fe35B3o, has the highest crystallization temperature, 1177 K, and microhardness, 1634 HV. 展开更多

The crystallization behavior of syndiotactic polystyrene(s PS) γ form undergoing annealing at various temperatures was investigated using the thermodynamic phase diagram based on Strobl's crystallization theory. On the basis of the differential scanning calorimetric results, it was observed that γ form melt-recrystallization occurred at a higher temperature with the increasing lamellar thickness, which resulted from the pre-annealing at the elevating temperature after acetone induced crystallization. Further temperature dependent small-angle X-ray scattering(SAXS) measurement revealed the evolution of the γ form lamellae upon heating until phase transition, involving three different regimes: lamellae stable region(25-90 °C), melt-recrystallization region(90-185 °C) and pre-phase transition region(185-195 °C). As a result, recrystallization line, equilibrium recrystallization line and melting line were developed for the s PS γ form crystallization process. Since the melt of γ form involved a γ-to-α/β form phase transition, the melting line was also denoted as the phase transition line in this special case. Therefore, the equilibrium crystallization temperature and melting(phase transition) temperatures were determined at around 390 and 220 °C on the basis of the thermodynamic phase diagram of the s PS γ form. 展开更多

The synthesis of diamond single crystal in the Fe64Ni36-C system with h-BN additive is investigated at pressure 6.5 GPa and temperature range of 1300-1400℃. The color of the obtained diamond crystals translates from yellow to dark green with increasing the h-BN addition. Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) results indicate that sp2 hybridization B-N-B and B-N structures generate when the additive content reaches a certain value in the system. The two peaks are located at 745 and 1425cm-1, respectively. Fhrthermore, the FTIR characteristic peak resulting from nitrogen pairs is noticed and it tends to vanish when the h-BN addition reaches 1.1 wt%. Furthermore, Raman peak of the synthesized diamond shifts down to a lower wavenumber with increasing the h-BN ~ddition content in the synthesis system. 展开更多

The results show that Tc (Celsius degree) = 1650-110 × (%C) -25 × (%Si)+3 × (%Mn) -35 × (%P) -71 × (%5)-2 × (%Ni) -7 × (%Cr); CEL=%C + 0.23×(%Si)-0.03× (%Mn)+0.32×(%P)+0.64×(%S) +0.02×(%Ni)+0.06×(%Cr). That is, in hypo eutectic composition, carbon equivalent should be calculated with CEL=%C+ 0.23×(%Si), not with CE=%C+(1/3) x(%Si). 展开更多

A real-time quantitative optical method to characterize crack propagation in colloidal photonic crystal film(CPCF)is developed based on particle deformation models and previous real-time crack observations. The crack propagation process and temperature dependence of the crack propagation rate in CPCF are investigated. By this method, the crack propagation rate is found to slow down gradually to zero when cracks become more numerous and dense. Meanwhile, with the temperature increasing, the crack propagation rate constant decreases. The negative temperature dependence of the crack propagation rate is due to the increase of van der Waals attraction, which finally results in the decrease of resultant force. The findings provide new insight into the crack propagation process in CPCF. 展开更多

The structure and properties of the glass-ceramics were tested with X-ray diffraction testing instrument,correlative software,and other modern testing means.Then the effect of Al2O3 content on internal stresses in CaO-Al2O3-SiO2 glass-ceramics was studied deeply.In order to study the relationship of Al2O3 to the residual stress of CaO-Al2O3-SiO2 glass-ceramics,X-ray diffraction "sin2ψ" was used.The means utilized the x radial incidence produced from cathode radial tube,and took the space between crystals as measurement of strain.When the stresses produced,the space between crystals changed and the diffraction peak moved during Bragg diffraction.The magnitude of movement is related to the stresses.The experimental results show the residual stress is considerably high and Al2O3 can influence the mechanical properties of this material hugely. 展开更多

The Taohekou Formation is a volcanic-sedimentary terrane formed in the early Silurian in the northern Daba Mountains, China. The volcanic rocks, with dominant alkali basalts and minor mantle xenoliths, are enriched in clinopyroxene phenocrysts. Geochemical analysis shows that the composition of clinopyroxenes from different lithofacies has a close affinity. There is a liner correlation present in composition of clinopyroxenes (including phenocryst, microcrystal and xenocryst) from coarse porphyritic basalts, pillow or fine porphyritic basalts to amygdaloidal basalts. All the cllnopyroxenes, except the clinopyroxenes in mantle xenoliths, show a similar pattern of trace elements and REE, which indicates that they are likely products of successive fractional crystallization from cognate magma. Clinopyroxenes in mantle xenoliths, however, are mantle xenocrysts. The crystallization pressure of clinopyroxenes gradually decreases from mantle xenolith, deep-seated xenocryst, coarse porphritic basalts, pillow or fine porphritic basalts, to amygdaloidal basalts, which are 1.92-4.41 GPa, 1.18-2.36 GPa, 1.13-2.05 GPa, 0.44-0.62 GPa and 0.14-0.28 GPa respectively. Calculation results suggest that the primary magma originated from a mantle region deeper than 68 km and stagnates in intervals of 37-68 kin, 15-20 km and 5-9 km during its ascent. The alkali basalts are characterized by increasing concentrations of Si and alkaline with the magmatic evolution. Meanwhile, they are markedly enriched in LREE, and the patterns of trace elements and REE are similar to those of oceanic island basalts. 展开更多

Combining oven controlled technique,digital compensation,high-resolution frequency difference measurement and self-calibration technique,a new design method of precise oven controlled crystal oscillator(OCXO) is proposed.Fine compensation is made in the vicinity of the crystal temperature inflection point by using the non-real-time temperature compensation strategy,and self-calibration system is integrated in the crystal.The method improves the digital compensated phase noise,simplifies the traditional OCXO development system,reduces the cost and shortens the developing cycle.Experiment results show that with a standard reference signal and self-calibration updated data,the oscillator can work stable and achieve its best performence.The performance index of crystal oscillator had an improvement with one to two orders of magnitude on the basis of original technical index.The method is widely used in the improvement of high-end crystal oscillator and atomic clock. 展开更多

Indium tin oxide(In_(2)O_(3)∶Sn)film is one of the most potential materials in the field of semiconductor industry.However,untreated In2O3∶Sn film has a low work function which can result in a high energy barrier that hinders the passage of carriers through the interface,thus leading to poor overall performance of directly prepared devices.In this study,crystalline transparent conductive In_(2)O_(3)∶Sn films were prepared by plasma exposure assisted magnetron sputtering under room temperature.Based on multiple testing methods,it can be found that the low temperature crystallization characteristics of In_(2)O_(3)∶Sn film were enhanced and the work function was effectively improved after Ar^(+)plasma exposure.The increase of the work function of In_(2)O_(3)∶Sn film was due to the increment of Sn⁃O bond on the surface brought by the transition from low oxidation state Sn^(2+)to high oxidation state Sn^(4+)under the action of high exposure. 展开更多

Thermal evaporation was used to deposit the films on ordinary glass sub- strates. The crystallization temperature for Sn4oSe60 thin film was found to be 156.6 -t- 0.3 ~C. In the as-deposited state, the sheet resistance was found to be 195 Mf2/[2, this value declined to 1560 f2/[2] upon annealing. The value of activation energy obtained from the Kissinger plot was 0.62 + 0.07 eV. From the results obtained, SnaoSe60 is a promising alloy for PCM application because of its high electrical contrast, high crystallization temperature, and relatively high activation energy. 展开更多

The spherical agglomeration of DMB during the reactive crystallization in a batch crystallizer was monitored by real-time Particle Video Microscope (PVM). We found that the low feeding rate of acetic acid, high crystallization temperature, low agitation rate or adding seed crystal can facilitate the formation of spherical agglomerates. By using a simple model, the mean crystal agglomerate size of DMB thus predicted is generally in agreement with the experimental data. In addition, the crystallization process of DMB was optimized by a new control strategy of supersaturation to avoid disadvantages brought by agglomeration. 展开更多

Titanium dioxide has been considered to be one of the most effective and environmental friendly photocatalytic material.It has been widely used in photocatalytic degradation of various pollutants.As we known,an anatase crystal form typically obtained by high temperature heat treatment(>600℃),usually shows higher catalytic activity.In order to further improve the catalytic efficiency,we prepared TiO2 with a non-supercritical drying method to form a high specific surface area aerogel structure,along with an increased active contact site.However,with the inevitable of internal pores collapse in the process of high temperature crystallization,a large amount of porous structure and specific surface area is reduced.Here,to enhance the photocatalytic activity of titania,we propose a synergistic strategy to fabricate a porous titania structure with a high specific surface area.It was crystallized at a lower temperature(120℃) in a low-boiling solvent(ethanol,acetone,etc.).The lattice structure was identified by X-ray diffractometry;specific surface area(over 300 m2/g) of our sample was also measured through BET test;in the subsequent photocatalytic degradation test,the photocatalytic degradation efficiency of fabricated TiO2 is proved to be more excellent than P25 powder.By a freeze-drying/mild crystallization method,a high-specific surface area and high catalytic activity TiO2 aerogel was synthetized.This study provides some insights in the combining of crystallization and high specific surface area of titanium dioxide photocatalysis. 展开更多

A liquid modified photonic crystal fiber(PCF)integrated with an embedded directional coupler and multi-mode interferometer is fabricated by infiltrating three adjacent air holes of the innermost layer with standard 1.... A liquid modified photonic crystal fiber(PCF)integrated with an embedded directional coupler and multi-mode interferometer is fabricated by infiltrating three adjacent air holes of the innermost layer with standard 1.48 refractive index liquids.The refractive index of the filled liquid is higher than that of background silica,which can not only support the transmitting rod modes but also the"liquid modified core"modes propagating between the PCF core and the liquid rods.Hence,the light propagating in the liquid modified core can be efficiently coupled into the satellite waveguides under the phase-matching conditions,resulting in a dramatic decrease of the resonant wavelength intensity.Furthermore,there is a multi-mode interference produced by modified core modes and rod modes.Such a compact(~0.91 cm)device integrated with an embedded coupler and interferometer is demonstrated for high-sensitivity simultaneous temperature(~14.72 nm∕℃)and strain(~13.01 pm∕με)measurement. 展开更多
