Current Situation and Prospects for Shale Gas Exploration and Development in China

China has made great proy, ress during 7 years of shale gas exploration and development. The country managed to finish a preliminary assessment of its resources, start commercial development of two shale gas blocks, and carry out basic technological research for independent development of the gas. However, shale gas development in China is still in an early stage.
