Peasant painting is a kind of painting created by farmers as creative subject, bearing rich significance.According to the historical development of peasant painting in reality, the types of meaning it carried could be divided into three types in chronological order:political ideological significance, folk life significance, and creative fashion significance. These three types of meaning gave rise to three types of aesthetic utopia, namely political aesthetic utopia, folk aesthetic utopia and fashion aesthetic utopia. The three types of aesthetic utopia reflected three forms of negation and revolution of daily life. What the political aesthetic utopia resisted was the alienation force of material desire. What folk aesthetic utopia resisted was the desire for material and the binding of political ideology. The fashion aesthetic utopia opposed the relatively narrow localism.Through these three forms of resistance, the public also constructed three identities:the interpreter of their own aesthetic interpretation of political ideology, the interpreter of their own aesthetic interpretation of real life from perspective of local feelings, and the interpreter of their own aesthetic interpretation of real life from perspective of the relationship between themselves and the world. 展开更多

Background: Young women of reproductive age experience various physiological changes, which they measure and track using various devices, including fitness trackers and smartwatches. However, fitness tracking assessment methods are ambiguous because they may differ from model to model. Objective: This study aimed to compare the stress level, heart rate, sleep time, number of steps, and distance traveled, which were calculated using fitness tracking methods for daily-life free activity installed in various smartwatches. Materials and Methodology: Healthy women in their 20s to 30s were recruited for this study, which was conducted from December 2021 to June 2022. The finalized participants wore three different smartwatch models (Mi smartband 6, vivosmart®4, and Band 6) simultaneously on their person for 48 hours and performed their daily activities and recorded them on an hour-based activity chart. Each smartwatch’s measured data (e.g., age, height, weight, and oral medications) were extracted into five datasets: heart rate, stress level, number of steps, distance, and sleep time. Data analyses were conducted using Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient ρ (for comparing heart rates) and Bland-Altman plots (for assessing heart rate agreement). The smartwatches’ fitness trackers were compared using the mean absolute percentage error. Results: The correlation coefficient showed that vivosmart®4 and Band 6 had a higher heart rate agreement (ρ = 0.684). The Bland-Altman plots showed high agreement between Band 6, Mi smartband 6, and vivosmart®4. The heart rate measurement method used under free movement was found to be consistent. The examined smartwatches were able to measure heart rate at the same level even under daily-life free movements. Conclusion: Several different smartwatches’ calculated measured values for heart rate had a high agreement. The smartwatches provided accurate heart rate measurements under daily-life free movement conditions. Furthermore, the calculation methods for stress level were found to differ in the fitness tracking of all the smartwatches. . 展开更多

Despite this growing scientific interest, essential questions such as to what extent a Taiji course may exert noticeable effects in participants' everyday life, what these effects are, and how and where potential transfer effects occur, have hardly been considered. The aim of our study was to explore transfer effects from a Taiji course into participants' daily lives. METHODS: We conducted a longitudinal observational study in 45 healthy participants at the end of their three-month Taiji beginner course (tpl) and at two months (tp2) as well as one year after course completion (tp3). Participants were asked to report their Taiji practice behavior at all time points, as well as to rate and describe perceived transfer effects of Taiji course contents on their daily life at tpl and tp3. RESULTS: Transfer effects were reported by 91.1% of all respondents after course completion (tpl) and persisted in 73.3% at the one-year follow-up assessment (tp3), counting "increase of self-efficacy", "improvement of stress management", and "increase of body awareness" as the most frequently mentioned effects. Transfer effects predominantly occurred in participants' work and social environments, as well as during everyday activities in public areas. While self- reliant Taiji practice frequency significantly decreased from 82.2% at tpl to 55.6% at tp3 (P 〈 0.001), the magnitude of self-reported transfer effects did not (P = 0.35). As explorative analyses revealed, regular Taiji course attendance was highly correlated with stronger transfer effects at tpl (r = 0.51; P 〈 0.001) and tp3 (r = 0.35; P = 0.020). Participants reporting high self-reliant Taiji practice frequency at tp2 were likely to maintain a regular practice routine at tp3 (r = 0.42; P 〈 0.004), whereas self-reliant practice frequency and transfer effects at tpl were positively correlated with self-reliant practice frequency at tp3 on a trend level (r 〈 0.27; P 〉 0.08). CONCLUSION: Our data underline the importance of regular course participation for pronounced and long lasting transfer effects into participants' everyday life. We discuss that several context and process-related aspects of a Taiji intervention are potentially relevant factors for enhancement of transfer effect. 展开更多

The mass culture penetrates into the world of the daily life of the contemporary college students in all directions. As the most sensitive group of the cultural assimilation, the college students practice various forms of the mass culture in their daily life. The popular culture and the everyday life are inseparable. The mass culture influences and changes the concept of our everyday life and the practice of our daily life, and enriches the connotation of the popular culture. The popular culture greatly enriches and expands the daily life of the college students with the features of the image, the nationhood and the consumption, but it also brings the negative effects that cannot be ignored. The daily life of the college students can be divided into several relative meanings according to their contents and forms, including the communication plate, the emotional plate and the leisure plate. Every meaning plate is concerned about the generation of values in the daily life of the college students, and the mass culture gives fresh and complicated contents to these meanings. How to find the values of their life and how to present oneself is the difficult problems and missions faced by the contemporary college students. 展开更多

This article explores the life of the professors of National Southwest Associated University during the Anti-Japanese War in detail, and tries to reveal their mental outlook and their enlightenment on how to live. The paper also describes the daily lives of Professor Zheng Tianting and his colleagues, including living and sleep, body care, diet and hobbies, family life, closeness to nature, appreciation of cultural artifacts, various cultural and entertainment activities, nostalgia for deceased relatives, communication and care within clans and social groups, diary writing, and self-cultivation.Zheng and his colleagues from National Southwest Associated University felt deeply that people living in social groups needed to take the initiative to find friends, make friends, and be critical friends.Friends can encourage each other, solve difficulties, promote personal development, enrich life interest, and improve quality of life, which makes an already active life more dynamic and colorfiil. The life of Zheng and his colleagues was in accord with the social conditions of the times. There are three aspects of consistency between them:the common experience of war, patriotic spirit, and confidence that China would definitely win;traditional moral benevolence and the inheritance of the spirit of the ancient Chinese intellectuals who cared about the country and the people before personal enjoyment;and maintaining the spirit of the times, which was a new awareness of independent personality and consciousness. There are many inspirations for life that can be drawn from the daily life of Zheng and his colleagues:People should have a rich and diverse life, every meal deserves to be taken seriously, and one should watch art performances, play mahjong and poker, appreciate art works, collect cultural relics, and so on.Such is what life should mean.Whether it was the willingness of the professors of National Southwest Associated University to"go Dutch"when they had dinner parties during the Republic of China or the novel experience of daylight savings time, these were considered new things in life. They are a reminder that we need to continue to supersede closed thoughts. The professors, who had both the essence of traditional morality and the modern sense of democracy, realized their desire to be their own "master." 展开更多

In recent years,a great deal of attention has been focused on the environmental impact of plastics,includ-ing the carbon emissions related to plastics, which has promoted the application of biodegradable plas-tics.Countries worldwide have shown high interest in replacing traditional plastics with biodegradable plastics. However,no systematic comparison has been conducted on the carbon emissions of biodegrad-able versus traditional plastic products. This study evaluates the carbon emissions of traditional and biodegradable plastic products(BPPs)over four stages and briefly discusses environmental and economic perspectives.Four scenarios-namely,the traditional method, chemical recycling, industrial composting, and anaerobic digestion-are considered for the disposal of waste BPPs(WBPPs).The analysis takes China as a case study. The results show that the carbon emissions of 1000traditional plastic products(plastic bags, lunch boxes,cups,etc.)were52.09-150.36 carbon emissions equivalent of per kilogram(kg CO_(2)eq),with the stage of plastic production contributing 50.71%-50.77%.In comparison,1000 similar BPPs topped out at 21.06-56.86 kg CO_(2)eq,approximately 13.53%-62.19%lower than traditional plastic prod-ucts.The difference was mainly at the stages of plastic production and waste disposal, and the BPPs showed significant carbon reduction potential at the raw material acquisition stage.Waste disposal plays an important role in environmental impact, and composting and anaerobic digestion are considered to be preferable disposal methods for WBPPs.However, the high cost of biodegradable plastics is a challenge for their widespread use. This study has important reference significance for the sustainable development of the biodegradableplastics industry. 展开更多

Sensors based Human Activity Recognition(HAR)have numerous applications in eHeath, sports, fitness assessments, ambient assisted living(AAL),human-computer interaction and many more. The human physical activity can be monitored by using wearable sensors or external devices. The usage of external devices has disadvantages in terms of cost, hardware installation, storage, computational time and lighting conditions dependencies. Therefore, most of the researchers used smart devices like smart phones, smart bands and watches which contain various sensors like accelerometer, gyroscope,GPS etc.,and adequate processing capabilities. For the task of recognition, human activities can be broadly categorized as basic and complex human activities.Recognition of complex activities have received very less attention of researchers due to difficulty of problem by using either smart phones or smart watches.Other reasons include lack of sensor-based labeled dataset having several complex human daily life activities. Some of the researchers have worked on the smart phone’s inertial sensors to perform human activity recognition, whereas a few of them used both pocket and wrist positions. In this research,we have proposed a novel framework which is capable to recognize both basic and complex human activities using builtin-sensors of smart phone and smart watch. We have considered 25 physical activities, including 20 complex ones, using smart device’s built-in sensors. To the best of our knowledge, the existing literature consider only up to 15 activities of daily life. 展开更多
