A 3-tuple ontology constructing model is proposed first. Then, four types of ontology constructing rules including class, property, property characteristics, and property restrictions ave formalized according to the model. Experiment results described in Web ontology language prove that our proposed approach is feasible for applying in the semantic objects project of semantic computing laboratory in UC Irvine. Our approach reduces about twenty percent constructing time compared with the ontology construction from relational databases.展开更多

Based on this, this paper intended to provide a set of standardized mapping models for industrial heritage storage, and through the establishment of the database to protect and reuse the status quo of industrial heritage research. This paper took the third-line construction industrial heritage of Mianyang “Two-Bomb City” as the research object, developed the relevant drawing standards of third-line industrial heritage database, and studied the database construction process. GIS technology is used to establish a geospatial database of the third-line industrial heritage in cooperation with the “One Map” system, in order to provide reference for the storage of the third-line industrial heritage in various places, and to protect and reuse the third-line industrial heritage from the perspectives of spatial factors, planning coordination and dynamic assessment.展开更多
In typical Wi-Fi based indoor positioning systems employing fingerprint model,plentiful fingerprints need to be trained by trained experts or technician,which extends labor costs and restricts their promotion.In this ...In typical Wi-Fi based indoor positioning systems employing fingerprint model,plentiful fingerprints need to be trained by trained experts or technician,which extends labor costs and restricts their promotion.In this paper,a novel approach based on crowd paths to solve this problem is presented,which collects and constructs automatically fingerprints database for anonymous buildings through common crowd customers.However,the accuracy degradation problem may be introduced as crowd customers are not professional trained and equipped.Therefore,we define two concepts:fixed landmark and hint landmark,to rectify the fingerprint database in the practical system,in which common corridor crossing points serve as fixed landmark and cross point among different crowd paths serve as hint landmark.Machinelearning techniques are utilized for short range approximation around fixed landmarks and fuzzy logic decision technology is applied for searching hint landmarks in crowd traces space.Besides,the particle filter algorithm is also introduced to smooth the sample points in crowd paths.We implemented the approach on off-the-shelf smartphones and evaluate the performance.Experimental results indicate that the approach can availably construct WiFi fingerprint database without reduce the localization accuracy.展开更多

There are plenty original data is saved in the AutoCAD (Auto Computer Aided Design) data format. Therefore it is important to find a way which can exchange and share the data between AutoCAD and MAPGIS effectively and efficiently. In order to use MapGIS cadastral management system building cadastral database, it researched the current transformation methods between data of MapGIS and AutoCAD, including analysis defects of ObjectARX technology, southern CASS conversion interface, DXF file conversion. Combining the characteristics of MAPSUV data and southern CASS data, it found a data conversion method through the DWGdirectX control. This method actually read and wrote files provided by the library of MAPSUV and AutoCAD. This way avoids exchange process which can better transform the southern CASS DWG file containing graphics and attributes information to the SUV. The example which showed how DWG file transformed into SUV file. It improves the effectiveness and efficiency of conversion.展开更多

Natural language semantic construction improves natural language comprehension ability and analytical skills of the machine.It is the basis for realizing the information exchange in the intelligent cloud-computing env...Natural language semantic construction improves natural language comprehension ability and analytical skills of the machine.It is the basis for realizing the information exchange in the intelligent cloud-computing environment.This paper proposes a natural language semantic construction method based on cloud database,mainly including two parts:natural language cloud database construction and natural language semantic construction.Natural Language cloud database is established on the CloudStack cloud-computing environment,which is composed by corpus,thesaurus,word vector library and ontology knowledge base.In this section,we concentrate on the pretreatment of corpus and the presentation of background knowledge ontology,and then put forward a TF-IDF and word vector distance based algorithm for duplicated webpages(TWDW).It raises the recognition efficiency of repeated web pages.The part of natural language semantic construction mainly introduces the dynamic process of semantic construction and proposes a mapping algorithm based on semantic similarity(MBSS),which is a bridge between Predicate-Argument(PA)structure and background knowledge ontology.Experiments show that compared with the relevant algorithms,the precision and recall of both algorithms we propose have been significantly improved.The work in this paper improves the understanding of natural language semantics,and provides effective data support for the natural language interaction function of the cloud service.展开更多

Two altern...The complexity of the IH-635 Managed Lanes Project, located in Dallas County, Texas, posed several technical and constructive challenges, leading to the adoption of solutions different from the traditional. Two alternative solutions for the pier cap on one of the bridge crossings over IH-35E in the IH-635 project were analyzed in this case study, a cast-in-place post-tensioned concrete cap and an innovative prefabricated steel-concrete com- posite cap. The approach was to use an estimation of direct costs for material and labor and consideration of con- struction time schedules. A supplementary numerical modeling confirmed that both alternatives behave elasti- cally under imposed loads. The direct cost of material and labor for the two alternatives were close. However, the composite alternative required 13 days less construction time, resulting in substantial cost savings from traffic closing in the very busy traffic corridor. Traffic closing costs were substantially higher than the direct costs, especially for the post-tensioned cap. The quantification of the benefits allows more confidence in the utilization of the composites caps, leading to faster completion of bridge projects and substantial economic savings.展开更多
